I love this jacket BUT please be aware that it is not a 20 or below coat. Great for fall and early winter where the temps are 25 to 50 degrees. Really had an expectation that it would keep me warm at least until it hit 10 degrees in Wisconsin. Not going to cut it. I'll keep it because I love it, but now I'm looking for a Wisconsin-proof winter coat - if such a thing exists. Go Pack Go!

I ordered this coat in a large as I was hoping to be able to wear it with several layers underneath, unfortunately it was too small for that so I had to return it. Its a very light coat, which I imagine would be very warm (I only tried it on at home). I haven't had any Columbia items before so I am not that familiar with their sizing- however I am a US 10.

I love this coat, but feel it would not work for anyone with hips. I have very narrow hips and the small fits me perfectly through the shoulders, but is snug through the hips if I have any type of sweater on with it. I love the thumb holes and knit lining for my hands.

I really like this light weight coat. I am 5'4" and weight 125lbs. I have an hour glass figure, bought the extra small and it is small in the hips but the shoulders and arms fit well. My sister & niece liked it so much they both bought one. The material does pull easily and the length should be a few inches longer.

It's a good jacket for up to 35 degrees for lower temperatures you will have to bundle up underneath. I usually wear a size 4 for my pants in columbia brand but I order my jackets medium to have more room to layer. I guess it's true to size but if you want more room order a size up...

I've only had this coat for a couple of weeks, but I love it! It looks a bit thicker in the picture than it actually is, but that doesn't seem to be affecting it's warm-ability! I'm always cold, but this jacket with a light sweater or sweat shirt, keeps me very warm! The length of the sleeves are perfect for my "gorilla" arms, and the thumb holes guarantee a snow free sleeve!

I really like this jacket. I've received compliments on its looks, and more important than that, it's warm and comfortable. It was recently -26 with wind chill and the only parts of me that were cold were the parts not covered by this jacket. That being said, I wasn't outside for hours, so I don't know how long that warmth would last. The zipper is a tiny bit hard to get lined up if you're trying to do it quickly, but not a big deal at all. My biggest complaint is that there is no way to cinch the hood. If there's the slightest breeze, the hood flies right off, unless it's being held in place by a hat underneath. That seems to be a simple fix, but I'm withholding that final star because of it.

The jacket is nice, lite and comfortable but not very warm specially from the waist down, the top part feels warmer because it fits more snug to the body. I would say it's great if the weather doesn't drop below 30.
Size M fits a little roomy but S maybe too snug I am size 6.
I would of love this jacket if they used more insulation material.

you would not think this is a warm jacket from how thin and light it is. Surprisingly keeps all your warmth inside with the omni-heat technology. i'm confident i can use this as my winter coat, but with a scarf because the neck area seems a bit loose.

I live in Minnesota and the temps are currently sub zero. I purchased this coat knowing full well it wasn't down filled but liked the style enough to get it anyway. As I suspected it's nort quite warm enough. BUT I can layer a shirt and sweater with this coat and be perfectly warm! I'm still looking for the down filled parka to beat all parkas but in the meantime this will suffice.

Usually take a SM, but based on other reviews, went up to a Med. and fits pretty well. Runs slender at hips, wide at shoulders and narrow at bottom. Unzipping bottom helps. Agree sleeves run long, but inner cuff makes them manageable. Hood doesn't stay on in wind, so took 4 tucks around edge which helps. If redesigned, adding thin elastic around edge of hood might solve the problem. All in all, a great coat, especially if traveling to a cold climate. Chose color Quill and love it.

This coat is great for everyday winter wear in the midwest. It's not great for the super cold spells (single and below zero digits), if you have to stand outside for lengthy periods of time, but it will get you to your car and home!
I love how lightweight it is. I don't like feeling huge and bulky in winter coats, just to stay warm. I'm a little nervous that I am going to snag it on something. It seems a bit delicate, but we'll see how it lasts the winter!

It was a tight fit in the chest area for my daughter. I have sent it back & requested a larger size. Waiting to receive an e-mail as I requested to see if my request has been honored so that we don't have to start looking for a different jacket.

I looked at many different coats but this had the cuffs that I was looking for and the omni heat lining. These features are great! My only complaint (the reason it got 4 stars and not 5) is that it is not offered in a petite. I expected it to be longer on me and the sleeves maybe alittle long but the neck when zipped up is way to high and interfers with driving. It's fine when walking the dog, which is why I wanted this length. The shoulders are big but I think it's because the waist falls at the wrong spot on me and it rides up a little and pushes the shoulders up on me. I still love the coat but if your petite just be aware of these issues. I am 5'1" and 140 and ordered the large.

This is a great coat. It is warm without the bulk and I love the longer length. The only con is that the wrist cover with the thumb slot is already coming apart at the seams, I have only had the coat a month. But other than that the coat is warm and very comfortable. The weather has just started to turn to the great midwest ice land, and so far the coat has done great. Blocks the wind well.

This jacket is exactly what I intended to purchase. It's warm, functional and a great length. My only constructive feedback is in the quality of the zipper. The main zipper feels low quality and is not smooth or easily zipped.

I love everything about this jacket, the length, the light weight of it, the warmth & especially the cuffs with thumbholes. I have worn it 3 times & yesterday noticed a huge tear across the front. They are sold out of them so I can't even exchange it. I read multiple reviews & some did mention the thinness of the material & wondered if it would hold up. Well I guess it doesn't. If I could find this coat in a different material, it would be absolutely perfect. I guess my search isn't over.

I got this coat for the technology. i"m vegan and needed a new winter coat that didn't contain any animal products and would keep me warm during the Chicago winters. Plus, I have two Siberian Huskies and for me to play with them in the snow I have to be able to stay warm.
Winter just got started but so far, I've never been cold while wearing this coat. The only issue that I have is that the hood doesn't have a string to keep it on your head. Other than that, this coat has been doing what it was created to do, keep me warm by using my own body heat.

This is a great coat for short trips to the store. Great for cool weather. Not recommended for extended periods in cold weather.

I was a little surprised at how thin the coat was when it was shipped to me and worried it wouldn't keep me warm, but it actually does a great job! I live in Wisconsin and although it hasn't hit the coldest months yet, it has been pretty cold and I have no complaints. I LOVE the thumb hole feature for your hands. I would say this coat fits true to size; I'm 5'6 and 135 lbs and the medium fits perfectly.

I was hoping this jacket would be warm enough to be outside for extended periods in 30 degree weather, but I'm afraid it's not going to be. I can comfortably wear several layers under, including a thick fleece, and it's not too tight, so that's what I may have to do. I ordered a small--I'm 5'4" and 122 pounds and it fits well. Love the purple color.

I ordered a small size for my wife but received a medium regular. Though it is a little longer my wife said it's okay... So didn't exchange it for a smaller one... however, should I received exactly what I wanted, should have been perfect. Anyway, quality isn't compromised so it's okay.

The small is my usual size, but it fit like a medium. The XS is a great fit, but I'm not convinced it will keep me warm for a NYC winter. The thermal insulation feels good and works, but again, not sure it's enough. Very lightweight and pretty jacket.

This coat is great. I was worried that it wouldn't be warm because it is so thin. I have worn this coat in a 30degree weather and I did not feel cold at all. The coat is fitted around the hip. I guess to keep the heat in and not allow cold air to come inside. If you want to get a roomy coat with lots of room to move around, this would not be for you. I am very happy with this coat and waiting for colder temperatures so I can test it out! I am 5'4 and 128 pounds and I got a size small. It fit well for me.
