I love these boots! They are beautiful but they do run a half size small. I ordered my regular size 7 and it was way too tight around the toe box and the shaft that I couldn't feel the blood circulating in my lower legs. I returned them for a size 7.5 and they just fits like a glove. Thank you Zappos for the wonderful customer service!

Loved these boots. They do. Or fit true to size at all! I could barely get my foot into my regular size shoe! The zipper is industrial and slightly hard to open/close.

I just got these boots today and they are so cute! Like others have said, they aren't as orange as the photo, but they're still a nice brown. They are super narrow in the toe box but luckily I had read the reviews here and ordered a half size up (good call). Right now they're pretty stiff, but they're nice leather so I'm already imagining how great they'll feel after a few wears. Happy Valentines Day to me!

Took me about a week to break them in. Until they were broke in the sole was very stiff. I have narrow feet so the boot width is a little wide for me and my foot slides, rubs on the zipper and can be a little uncomfortable. This style of Frye boot is more comfortable then other styles they have but still lacks comfort compared to the Born boots. Usually I can slide a boot on and off without undoing the zipper but I have to undue the zipper and snaps in order to put on or take off this boot (takes time). Over all, I love the height of the boot, the buckles and the look was what I was looking for.

This review breaks my heart. I have flat feet. Shoes are never comfortable for me, so I wear boots or sandles whenever I can. As far as boots go: these were my dream boots. Buttery leather, fabulous scent, slight "ching" when I walk, great fit, gorgeous. Never came unsnapped unless I brushed against something firm. As for the stiff zipper: it stuck because my sock was in it. Once I learned to guide the leather guard inside with my finger, they zipped up perfectly. Btw: if you have a nickel allergy, you know that zippers can give you a rash. Not these. They are covered inside with a strip of leather. Just fabulous. As far as size: yes, they are narrow in the toe, and wider in the heel. BUT, those buckles are adjustable. And socks come in different thicknesses. I had room for gel inserts with a pair of stockings. And when I loosened one of the heel straps, my foot slid back and there was more room in the toe. I wear a 6, and bought a 6. As far as comfort: once broken in (after hours of walking around with bandaids on my heels for protection), they were just like they were made for me. ?? They saved my feet and ankles after 9-hour shifts in a non-stop job. Now, as for quality: after 6 weeks of having them, one of the snaps ATTACHED TO THE RIVET came off my strap when I unsnapped them to take them off. There was just a hole left in the leather where it was. ?? I'll miss them. I don't know yet what Zappos will do, because I had them for quite awhile. But, I only wore them at work, and there's carpet there. They were as great as I thought they would be.?? I'm so disappointed.

I loved the look and feel of these boots, but had to return them. The quality was great and they looked amazing. I ordered my normal size, and while they were a little snug putting on the first time, I know from past experience with good leather boots that the leather will stretch and it won't take long. I returned for the following two reasons: 1. the leather is very soft (which isn't a bad thing at all!) but I know will eventually bunch around the ankles a little bit, and that drives me crazy. That is just my personal hang-up; it looks fine on everyone but it bugs me when any boots do that on me. I was hoping the leather would be a little stiffer but no biggie. 2. The zipper up the back was a little difficult to pull up; it was easier to zip bringing my foot up behind me instead of bending down to zip, it had to be at an angle to really slide. Once zipped, the zipper was a little uncomfortable on the back of my heel. All in all, not really any big issues, but enough for me personally to return this beautiful pair of boots.

I really like these boots. I'm usually a 9-9.5 and I purchased these in 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I prefer the look of the Veronica slouch but that style did not fit as well. This style has snaps across the back zipper and they sometimes come undone which can be annoying, but overall I am happy with these boots. They are comfortable and great quality, already a staple.

These are very stylish boots. Ive had them for 2 years now and they are holding up very very well. They are smaller than true size. it has taken them over a year to get comfortable. When I first purchased I wanted to add inserts or cushion but they are too small to fit in additions. They are holding up well but I have no idea how to care for them, and contacting frye was of little help.

Loved the look and smell (all leather, nice!) of this boot. I'm a true 9-1/2 but these were snug with a thick wool sock, (I always wear thick wool for cushioning). The back zipper while very attractive is awkward to pull up, hard to get a grip. And the straps at ankle and top of boot, while spiffy looking, get in the way of putting on and taking off. I also have athletic calves so was unable to zip the boot over my pants legs; I could over leggings perhaps but then again maybe not. Frye's quality can been seen with this boot it just doesn't fit me. Sadly, they must be returned, thank goodness for Zappos wonderful return policy!

I loved the look of these beautiful leather boots! The only problem for me was that the heel bed slipped every time I took a step. The rest of the boot was snug and fit perfectly but for this price I cannot justify keeping something that does not fit everywhere.

I wanted a pair of boots to easily zip over jeans, even boot cut, were stylish yet casual, and had a low heal. I looked at many boots, and this one fit the bill. The leather is soft, the calf is accommodating for any of my jeans, and the quality is what you would expect from Frye. I get many compliments, and they work well with skirts too. Not too fancy, not boring. The snaps do come undone often when I walk or cross my legs, but they snap back on easily. That would be my only complaint. I would buy them again.

Frye did it again! Excellent quality and extremely comfortable! Just one negative the straps tend to loosen.

I received these boots today after placing my order yesterday. Zappos doesn't mess around! Sadly though I will be returning them as they are not meant for anyone with shapely calves.

I purchased these for the fall and they are incredibly adorable. However, I'm 5'10 and 170 And Fryes fit my calf really tight. I returned 2 different Fryes before I got these. They are tight but I can zip them up. I also live in Wisconsin so the bottom of these should be perfect for the winter!

Beautiful boot! But beware that it runs very small and is a very stiff boot. Would take some time to break it in to be real comfy!

This is my 5th pair of Frye's and my third pair of the Veronica style (I already had the slouch and combat), so I'm aware of the fact that Frye's are pretty inconsistent in terms of sizing, but these boots were really something else. The Veronica's in general tend to be pretty low around the arch area and toe box, and given my crazy high arches, I knew I'd have to size up; I'm normally a 7/7.5 in most boots, and my other two Vs are both size 8. I had to go all the way up to an 8.5 in the back zip, because they were so snug on the inside (the outsold seemed to be sized consistently with the slouches, so these appear slightly bigger than my others). Now that I've gotten them broken in (surprisingly quick break-in period though), they're a little looser in the toe, so I can fit an insole (they come with decent arch support, but as I said, my arches are super high so I always need to add more) and a double pair of thin socks (to protect the back of my heel from the zipper). Like any pair of good, full grain leather boots, the heel is pretty slippy at first, but the ankle quickly breaks down to hug it in place, and by the 3rd wear or so I didn't notice any slipping at all. They fit perfectly over a pair of skinny jeans (and are ridiculously flattering to my legs). I got the Black Stone Antique color, and they are GORGEOUS. Just be aware that the matte finish is partially achieved by some kind of powder coating, and for the first few times you wear them, black stuff will come off on anything they touch (my hands looked like I'd been drawing in charcoal after playing around with the buckles the first time). I wiped them down with paper towels, and it seemed to help a lot without changing the finish too much.

I love these boots! They are super cute! I bought my first of Fryes last year in size 7. But with these it seems that I am going to have to order half a size bigger.

These are a birthday gift from hubby as I had drooled over them for months so he finally bit the bullet and ordered them for me. They just arrived today and out of the box they are drop dead gorgeous and smell positively delicious! Getting high on the fumes. I requested these in the Cognac Antique color and while they are only slightly less golden orange than pictured online, the color is still to die for. I am 5'3", generally wear a size 7 boot (which these are)but have never owned a boot with a "15" shaft nor one quite as fitted as this (as opposed to "slouch" style) so I was a bit apprehensive about the "fit". My right calf and foot also bigger than my left so in putting the boots on (over leggings) I did not feel that they were quite as comfy as hoped for, most especially the right boot. The foot bed support and width are fine. No problems there. The "right" boot is a wee bit tight around my calf but I'm thinking that there might be some stretch with wear. I also notice some slippage around the heel area in both boots while walking. This is more bothersome on the right than the left as the heel area tighter on right given my larger calf and foot. May need a heel pad to insulate until boots are broken in. I believe this discomfort is more a function of how I am made as opposed to how the boot is crafted. The boot is just as it appears in the photo - the leather is very soft and has deep, rich color and tone. The buckles and snaps do exactly what they are supposed to. Snaps seem to work correctly. Nothing popping open. Undecided as to whether I'm keeping them as of this moment but will be very disappointed to send them back as they are truly gorgeous! Frye craftsmanship is exceptional. Wish I could say the same for my right calf and foot!

Beautiful boot of the best quality craftsmanship and leather; however, the heel is very large for my narrow foot and slips more than if I were wearing flip flops. However, the toe bed was a bit narrow. Too bad because I really liked the quality and style.

This product is great and I always get compliments wherever I go wearing these shoes. The only problem with these shoes is the bottom sole comes apart quite quickly. This has happened to me with other Frye boots so I know it's not Zappos or any distribution problem. It's just Frye boots soles are not well made. All other aspects are fantastic - the hardware and leather upper.

Love this boot, Have gotten compliments from wearing the first few times I have worn them. They are a little stiff in the ankle and will need to be worn to loosen the leather. They run just a little big I can feel the heel rub just a little but not enough to return. The only other issue I have had are the snaps keep coming undone and I have to resnap them. The color is great and the style I love. I will be able to wear these for a long time as they are timeless.

These boots are the best crafted that I've ever seen. Leather is nice and thick, not like some cheap flimsy leathers out there. Color is gorgeous. Putting these boots is a cinch because the zipper (super strong) in the back goes all the way down. My calf is about 15.5" and was able to zip the up, a bit snug but it will loosen up given some wear time. Planning to wear them with tights and dresses. Might be too tight to wear with skinny if you have thicker calves like myself. The boots I received had a couple of scratches so I returned them and ordered a replacement. Very comfy right out of the box. By the way, the leather smell is deliciously intoxicating!

I waited so long for these boots! I love the moto look and the black antique pull leather. They are really tight in the toe box though, while roomy in the ankle and midfoot. The top of the shaft is a little tight for my calves, and as a result the back zipper bulges inward at my Achilles tendon and rubs a little blister. So, not comfy right out of the box, but with a little wear should be able to work out the kinks. Another thing, the straps come unsnapped when my calves and ankles touch all the time. I may have to glue the snaps and just buckle and unbuckle. It happens that much!
