These are the most amazing boots ever. My first pair of Fryes and I love them. The smell, the feel, the fit, the color, the hardware is all fantastic. Many compliments. Get them!

Love these boots!! They arrived just as beautiful as they look in the pictures. They fit very well and were true to the size. They are pricey but they are well made and should last for years to come. I have bigger calfs and was worried that these boots wouldn't fit my calfs. They were a little snug when I first got them but the leather has stretched a bit and now they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable. These boots are worth the price!

I was very nervous about ordering tall boots. I read over all the reviews for these and two other boots. I have recently lost a lot of weight and was really looking forward to getting decked out for fall. (Thank you Zappos for helping me!) These boots are awesome. They look better in person than even the photo. I am so in love and so glad I bought them. They were a bit snug at first, but knowing the Frye brand I walked around the house in them for a couple hours and now they fit like a glove. I bought Cognac. Love it! I couldn't be happier. And I couldn't be happier with Zappos. Your people always answer all of my questions. And I had a ton. They are so kind and patient. I really appreciate it.

I am so happy with these boots! The cognac is darker in person than I expected from the website photo, and it's just gorgeous. I like the more rounded toe on these (more rugged and classic, less pointy and western), and the quality is superb. I wear an 8.5-9, have a not so narrow foot, and the 8.5 was just right.

These boots are so beautiful! I ordered a 5.5 which is my actual shoe size. The right one zipped up easily and is very comfortable. I have to struggle sometimes to zip the left one all the way. This is not the boots fault, my left calf is larger and shaped differently. I thought about returning them for a 6 so I would have a little more calf room, but I was already in love with them! I used to think I couldn't pull off taller boots because I am short (5'2.5") but these hit just where I want them to. I plan on wearing them a lot this fall/winter!

I absolutely love these gorgeous boots. I ordered them back in July and have been wearing them around the house since it is still too warm to wear them out. When I first put them on, they were pretty snug. I ordered size 8, which is my normal shoe size. I have wide feet, so I also ordered an 8½ to be safe. However, the 8½ rubbed the back of my foot and were too long. The 8 is perfect. The cognac color is absolutely beautiful! They do seem a little darker in person than the photo, but they are still great! By the time it actually gets cold out, they will fit perfectly.

These boots are perfect! Everyone loves them. They fit true to size. My calves are on the bigger side and they fit with jeans tucked in just fine. They have required some breaking in but that is normal for high-quality leather boots.

Absolutely beautiful and worth every penny. Sorry to say they run narrow and a little stiff so there would be a break in period so I had to return them.

I got this boots a few months back. These are some beautifully crafted things, I got a size 7 and it fits great. I wished the top was a bitter smaller because my calf is not very thick. The color is pretty much as you see on the pictures and I love how they are getting slightly nicked and marked as time goes by. Great buy and stunning to look at. If you get them enjoy!

I love Fall and I love when the boots come in and Zappos gets them before anyone. I saw these and had to have them, even though it's 100 degrees, I will be wearing them. The leather is so buttery soft. They are super comfortable and on the cutting edge of fashion this Fall/Winter season. You can dress them up or down. You will love them!

Fit exactly like Frye boots fit. Tight at first and then they will loosen over time. These are very cute and easy to get on and off with the zipper up the back. The buckles actually have hidden snaps in the straps to allow access to the zipper. The zipper does rub a little on the heel so a good pair of socks will be a must. I would recommend these boots.

OMG! This is my first pair of Frye boots and my bank account is not gonna be happy since I am in LOVE! These are so worth the price and I am sure they will last for years both in durability and style. They have an urban feel and look better than just the average riding boots. I have a fairly wider calf and have had difficulty with reg width boots. Not these. They zipped right up and I can even get a pair of jeggings into them without difficulty. I think they will look great with dresses, jeans, tights this fall and into winter. Also gotta say LOVE Zappos. Super quick, Super helpful and tons of great styles! This won't be my last pair of Frye boots.

This was my first pair of tall leather boots. Let me tell you, I'm in love! I ordered a half-size larger to accommodate my wide feet. They are still a little tight, but I know they will break in soon. I have big calves, about 14.5 inches on each side and I was able to zip them up. It was a little tricky with the leather being stiff, but it was fine. I'm 5'3" and they hit below my knees without making me look funny. I can't wait until the weather is less warm so I can stomp around in these all day for months on end!

I LOVE these boots. I waited a long time to get them and wish I'd broken down and spent the money sooner rather than going through a couple pairs of cheaper boots that I didn't like, and didn't hold up. These are super comfy. My heel does slip a bit as others have mentioned but I haven't had a problem with blisters/comfort/etc with this. Have gotten a lot of compliments on them - the zipper up the back is sexy as well as makes them way easier to get into than pull up boots, even with my athletic thick calves. I've worn them with jeans as well as skirts/dresses - versatile, and worth the price.

These boots are awesome. They are my first pair of Frye boots and I will be buying more. They are pricey but definitely worth the money; the leather is very high quality and smells fabulous! The zipper is a little stiff on these but I feel only because it is such a heavy duty one. I do not regret my purchase.

I love these boots! They are very comfortable with little break-in required. I was hesitant due to prior reviews that the snaps came undone. My first pair did have that problem, so much so that I was frequently having to bend over to re-snap several times in one wearing. When I complained to Zappos, they sent me a replacement pair. Now they rarely come unsnapped.

As soon as I saw these, I knew I had to own them. I love them. These are so cool! The back zipper and buckles make these very unique. I've received many compliments. In fact, I almost hate to wear them, because I don't want anything to happen to them either!

I ordered these boots in dark brown in a 7. The dark brown is really dark and I'm wondering if I should send them back for the cognac which looks orange on screen but from the reviews not as bright. The leather quality is amazing and the fit is great. I typically wear a 7 and have no issues even in a thicker sock in these. I have 15 inch calves (maybe bigger) from running and I'm 5'2, 118 pounds. While these are snug on my leg over a skinny jean/jegging...I know it is a matter of time before they stretch out a bit. New out of the box, they are definitely rigid and the zipper is difficult to maneuver but again, know that will loosen up in time as well. I'm wearing them around the house this morning and have no issues with comfort - only issue is color for me. Not sure I want to keep the darker color or go with the cognac. I also ordered the Veronica slouch which will be going back - do not like how much they slouch and can see them potentially getting looser as they are worn. I was also a 6.5 in the slouch version versus the 7 in these. Would highly recommend though - they are great quality leather compared to other boots that I have. They are extremely stylish and comfortable. But can definitely tell they will need a break in period for sure.

I LOVE these boots so much!! They are so comfortable and look so cool! Really easy to get on and off with the zippers! If I could possibly find a negative about these boots maybe it would be that the straps on the back became unbuttoned a few times..

Love these boots! Put them on and went out walking the first day. Perfectly comfortable and awesome looking. Have walked a few miles at a time in these boots and they are comfy. Haven't had an issue with snaps coming open and the zipper and straps really add to the styling. Like these much better than the Veronica Slouch, which I also tried.

Very unfortunate that these boots didn't fit me. I have a wide calf and a high arch and wear a size 10. I was over the moon that my husband let me get these boots, but now I'm in tears because they didn't fit me. I had done a specific search for wide calf boots in black and these popped up. There was no way I could zip these up. I needed about 3-4" of fabric to be able to close it. I'm returning them. I read the reviews on another Frye boot with the words "Extended Calf" in the title, and in my size, they'd still be 2" short. Very disappointed. The leather was amazing.

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. We went through several sizes and pull on styles of the same boots before she decided she just could not get her feet in there easily without the zipper. Zappos was patient and helpful, as always, with our indecision and all of our returns. Now she has the boots she adores and when she walks by, everyone comments. They are gorgeous. Oh, and do not let the buckles drive you away. They are actually held on by snaps, so it is easy to put the boots on. We ended up with a full size bigger than she normal wears.

Very comfy. Beautiful toned color. Quality leather (smells great). Strong zipper (not likely to snap on you like others). Fits great. Pricey boot, but worth every penny!

LOVE THESE BOOTS! I have finally found the riding boots that I have been looking for. I wear a size 10 and these boots fit true to size. Toe room is great. Leather quality is super. (Love the rich leather smell.) They are a little pricey, but worth it because you will have them for years to come. All in all, I'm in love!
