I actually bought these as a gift for my best friend. When I opened them, I fell in love with the color. I may be ordering myself a pair. She finds the boot absolutely perfect...very stylish...very comfortable. She loves the fact you can dress them up or wear very casual.

I ordered this as a gift, so I cannot really speak to fit (though it fit the giftee nicely; probably runs a tick small for size, but I had ordered at the high end of size for giftee). But I will say that it is a very beautiful boot, with excellent sole. It is very nicely aged looking, which I think is a plus.

These boots were super cute and comfortable from the first wearing. After the many miles of walking with them on vacation, they look even better! Burnt Red is the perfect color -- it actually looks a lot more red than it is in person, it's the perfect brown! I wore these with skinny jeans and leggings the entire time -- the loops on the side help if anyone is having a hard time getting their heel in. I love these boots!

I like these a lot, but was hoping for something a little dressier. I bought a size 8 instead of my normal 9 and they are perfect! Hope to get something a little dressier next time.

These boots are beautiful! Definitely worth the money! They are difficult to get on at first, but I use the trick with the plastic bag to get them on and I only had to use it the first couple of wears. Now they slip on easily. I would definitely recommend.

I love these boots! At first I was hesitant about keeping these boots when they arrived. First off I ordered my shoe size and they were to small I had to go up a full size so they would fit my calf and arch. Once I got the next size the calf was still tight but once I started wearing them they stretched a little and now fit perfectly! I cannot wait to buy my next pair of Frye boots!

I received these boots and was immediately impressed once again with how beautiful Frye boots are. I have owned over 10 pairs of Fryes and these are my new favs. I originally ordered the redwood color in a 7.5 I normally wear an 8 in shoes, 7.5 in Frye boots, but they were too big! Had to exchange for a 7. I also noticed that the color was similar to another pair I have so I got the tan smooth leather instead. Wonderful! At 5'6 125lbs and a runner with have muscular calves...I had no problem fitting in these, plenty of room. And the trouble with pulling them on was stopped with a smooth foot insert. I guess the lining of it made it slippery and easy to get in. Can not say it enough, I love these boots!

Ordered the color Stone Stone Wash for my daughter. It is a great distressed looking boot. She is hair stylist and has no problem going thru the work day wearing these beautiful boots. Love the look and quality in Frye boots!

I have just this year become a Frye convert - and these boots were the first purchase of Frye that I had ever made. I almost threw in the towel on the Lindsay Plate, because of the three types of Frye boots I (currently) own, these were, without question, the most difficult to put on. I think I wrestled with the Lindsay nearly 10 minutes per foot to finally get them on. When I did, however, they were incredibly comfortable - substantial in quality - and timeless in style. If you have finally gotten to an age and income level where buying quality boots is an option and priority for you, you cannot go wrong with Frye. I will never again buy lesser boots - and I will never replace my Fryes. Been there, done that, and I am ready to commit!

These boots are absolutely beautiful. I ordered four different styles from Zappos. The boots were all delivered and returned in a timely and efficient manner. Thanks, Zappos! These boots fit perfectly. They are a little roomy in the toe however when my foot expands at the end of a day, I am glad for the extra room. I have slightly wider calves and was worried that they would not fit but they are fine with a skirt. I could not wear them over pants. The boots have an elegant and classic look. I love them.

Awesome boots! They fit like a glove and are exceptionally well made. They are very comfortable even from the first day. The leather is soft and they are stunningly beautiful. The photograph does not do them justice. The style is flexible enough to dress down or up. Truly worth the investment as these boots will be with me for years to come.

Gorgeous boots. High quality, and worth the splurge. They ran a little big so I exchanged for a half size down (thanks Zappos!) They are so hard to get on, but once they're on, they're comfortable.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous. True to size, ridiculously comfortable. I purchased these and the Paige Tall and ended up sending the Lindsey Plate back only because a) I couldn't afford to keep 2 pairs and b) they were just a little bit dressier than the Paige Tall and I wanted something more casual. They were also just a bit tighter in the calf than the Paige Tall and I needed a little more room. These would be so perfect with dresses and skirts.

I will say these are beautiful boots! Unfortunately I can't get the sizing right; my Frye Daisy Dukes are an 8.5 (perfect), the Veronica short an 8 and too big, tried the Lindsay Plate in an 8 (too big in the foot/ toe box) and the 7.5 (too small in the foot). So if you think about them, definitely a 1/2 size down.

Beautiful boots! I ordered the Redwood (Smooth Full Grain), which appeared a bit more reddish-brown on my monitor but in person are a pretty dark(ish) brown. My foot is a size 38 and I found the size 8 boots were too long in the footbed. I have fairly athletic calves and I found the circumference of the boot to be a bit tight, especially compared to other Frye boots I owe. Sadly, I'll be returning these but not for reasons of style or quality.

I love these boots! I already have a pair of Melissa Button Frye's, so these were the next great style to purchase. I originally ordered a 7 in the Lindsay Plate (since I have a 7 in the Melissa Button), but they were a little large. I would suggest ordering a 1/2 size down from what you normally wear. Although they may feel a little tight when you first get them, they will stretch out once you break them in. Overall, a fabulous pair of boots that are perfect for fall/winter!

These are absolutely, positively beautiful! I was worried about fit since I have had a hard time finding boots that fit over my calves. I am 5'4" and a size 6/8 but have apparently been blessed with athletic calves. I usually wear a 7½ or 8, so I erred on the size of caution and ordered a size 8. The Lindsay Plate fit perfectly over skinny jeans and the quality was amazing. I am now anxiously awaiting cool weather as I know I will be wearing these boots every day!

I was looking for something a little more casual than this boot and tried a number of other Frye styles. I really liked the look of the Melissa Button but simply couldn't get it on. This boot is a little classier than the Melissa, but it goes on and comes off easily, has a wonderful shape to the shaft, I love leather soles, and I feel a million dollars in them (although they cost a mere money). I think these will turn a few heads.

I love the Lindsay Plate! I was looking for a great boot to replace my old pair that lasted me for years and I saw this one. I was hesitant at first that it would bunch up oddly at the ankle or that the plate would be too obvious and look awkward but it's perfect. The boot doesn't slouch at all, it's a very stiff style but it doesn't look overly stiff. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the slanted top, I was worried at first that it made me look duck-footed or that being able to see the lining was too much of a contrast and looked weird (since the lining is a lighter color than the brown leather exterior I ordered mine in), however I think it's flattering and just part of the style. Overall, a classic boot that fit true to size on me. I have average sized legs so they weren't too big or small in the calf.

Lovely quality, love the redwood color but runs a half size large and those with narrow heels may have slipping, might be a pull-on issue. I've returned and hoping the next size smaller will work without toe-smash. Slim calf pull-on, be sure to measure.

Absolutely love these boots; very comfortable, great fit. But the plate isn't real metal, which wouldn't be a problem, except the plates keep snapping in half. Not very rugged -- and I'm not especially hard on them, either. The left boot plate snapped within one month of purchase. Frye kindly repaired free of charge. But then the right boot plate snapped a year later, and I just gave up on getting it fixed. My next pair of Frye's will skip the plate accent.
