I love my boots. I purchased the fawn color. I wear them with trousers, leggings, skinny jeans and skirts. I went down in size. I normally get a 7 on all Frye boots but for these I am a 6.5. Still very comfortable. I have small ankles so going down a size helped. They were hard to put on at first but easier now. Love them!

I love these boots. The leather is gorgeous and very good quality. However, the shaft is very narrow. I wear a size 9.5 and my calf is 15.75 inches and they were so tight I could barely slip my finger in between my leg and the boot. Very sad I have to return them.

These are gorgeous boots. I was hesitant at first to buy them because of the price, but I know the quality Frye boots matches the price. These boots are so comfortable that I will never buy cheap boots again! They are stylish dress equally well with a dress or pants. I got the Fawn color, which is a beautiful brown-gray that matches everything in my wardrobe. I highly recommend these boots! As a bonus, shortly after purchasing them, they went on sale. Zappos refunded the difference in price right away. Great boots, great customer service from Zappos.

Love these boots. I had to return them for a second pair however, because the first pair didn't match. The leather on one boot was pebbled, and the other boot was smooth. Weird! I wear them with leggings and jeggings and love the look. I have narrow calves and these boots are borderline too big for my calves, but I'm making them work because I love the color and the design details. The almond toe is very nice, too. Classic!

I bought these boots in black this fall and have been wanting a brown pair ever since. I couldn't believe that the one color of brown that I wanted (Fawn) just happened to be on a huge markdown while the others weren't. I was a little nervous that they may be a weird color but they are perfect. They are a beautiful dark brown more of a cool grey brown than a chestnut warm brown like the others brown colors they come in. These boots can be a little hard to get your heel into but once you do they get easier and easier each time so don't give up if it takes some pressure to shove your foot in. As a matter of fact all of my Frye boots have been hard to get my heel into ( I have two pairs of the harness boots as well). I am 5'7 and weigh 135 lbs and the shaft circumference is just right, however if you have athletic or at all larger calves you made have a problem getting them on with jeans. Also, I have a narrow foot and these are perfect on my foot but if your foot leans towards being a little bit wide these may not work.

I absolutely love these boots! I bought them in the Fawn color, and they're a gorgeous deep taupe. The leather is so soft, and smooth.. will need some breaking in as they're on the stiffer side. I am 5'4", and they sit perfectly a few inches below my knees. I noticed others saying to buy half a size down. I do not recommend this, I believe they're true to size. I initially bought a size 6 (I am normally a solid 6.5) and they were so tight! I had such a hard time getting my foot in the boot, and when I did my narrow feet hurt so bad being squished into the foot bed. I exchanged them for a 6.5 (thanks Zappos for having an amazing exchange program & being so helpful!) and they fit like a glove. No problem getting on/off, super comfy foot bed, perfect fit with thin socks, boot socks, and not a terrible amount of heel slip. Getting the right size is so important for these. But they're gorgeous! I've had tons of compliments wearing them only a few times. They're a classic style that will last forever!

LOVE them..They look great and are comfortable. This is my first pair of boots that don't have a zipper so you slip in to them. They work well and no issues can wear with pants and skirts. I can spend the whole day at work in the boots no problems. I usually have on hose and some winter socks and they don't feel stuffy. Also i like that fact that not everyone has this style of boot. The metal clasp in the bag also sets off the style as well. I can tell they are quality leather they hold their shape but not uncomfortable in the calves. Would purchase another pair of Frye boots. The boots are not flat when I stand in the heel the toes raises slightly. Not real noticeable like cowboy boots but subtle. I do like this because I don't feel like I am in a completely flat shoe. Prior to this I purchased and returned at least 4-5 pair of other brand boots. But these are keepers. This is my 7th pair of boots and I know the style and quality of these will last. i wear a 10.5 to 11.0 narrow and this width works for me.

Got the boots in the "Redwood" and "Cognac" color. Both were gorgeous and hit about an inch under my kneecap (I am 5'2). It was very comfortable to walk in and didn't hit against my knees when sitting down. The Cognac color is very beautiful and has the vintage worn in look but it lacked the shine in leather that the Redwood color had. The leather on the Cognac boots were soft and matte while the Redwood was a little stiffer and shinier. I would love to keep both but I'm having a hard time deciding which I like better! Overall style and fit are good - I went a half size down than I usually wear in Frye which lessens the gap I have in the ankle area (but still enough room to wear thick socks).

I was really conflicted about what size to purchase because if the mixed reviews. I'm a true 7 with thin ankles and calves. I ordered my regular size 7 and they are great- there is plenty of room in the calf area but they don't look loose. I ordered burnt red and the color is gorgeous just like in the photo. I've wanted Frye boots for years and these were just what I was looking for- perfection with skinny jeans or a dress!

Love these boots! I did order one size down, a size 6, which was recommended through multiple reviews. They were right. I searched all over for the right shaft size because I'm 5'2.5" and don't want to look dumpy with tall boots. These work! Stiff to start but after wearing several days, they are breaking in nicely. Fit is comfortable around foot, ankle, and calves. I have one stiff ankle due to surgery so getting the left one off is tougher but the kick plate on the back heel helps. The ultimate was the scent of genuine leather that came rushing out of the box the moment I opened them! Love at first sight. I highly recommend, if you are interested in a lifelong enjoyment for great boots, these are the pair! Stop settling for cheap boots that need to be replaced after 2 seasons and these will be around for many many years to come and I intend to enjoy them every step of the way!

Love these boots, they look so good! I got them in the Fawn, and as a previous reviewer said, they're lighter in person than in the picture but still gorgeous! They photograph just like the picture however. All Frye boots lift up in the heel a little for me, but I know with wear the leather will drop around the ankle and make them more snug. The actual footbed of these was a realistic size 8, I usually wear a 7.5 (too tight in frye) or an 8.

I am in LOVE with these boots. These were my first pair of fryes and the quality is amazing. They were not as glossy as I was hoping but they are still beautiful. Be warned though, I have narrow calves and a narrow foot and they are still not the easiest to wriggle off at the end of the day, because they have no zipper. They are plenty comfortable enough to wear walking around all day with the right socks (they sometimes rub if my socks are too thin). I plan to be wearing these boots for years to come!

I originally bought these in my usual size 7. They felt way too big to the point I had trouble walking in them. My husband said they looked too big for me, too. I returned the 7 for a 6 1/2. They fit me perfectly. There seems to be a very big difference going a half size smaller. The calf was much narrower as well as the heel and the instep was much lower. If your body is proportional to your feet, these boots are for you, but if your feet are large compared to your body, the calf may be too big for you and the boots may be too tall. I'm glad I was able to get a good fit... these boots are quality! They are versatile, too. They look great with pencil skirts, leggings or tucked in jeans. I also like the look of no zipper. Other reviewers complained of difficulty putting them on, but I did not experience that.

These boots are beautiful and fit me perfectly. I went back and forth on color choices but finally decided on the cognac and I could not be happier. I wanted something versatile and these are perfect for dressing up or going casual. I have small legs and ankles so it takes just a little tug to get them on and off but I could see where other reviewers might have issues. These are made of beautiful sturdy leather that will last for years. It is definitely worth investing in a pair of Frye boots.

This boot is awesome - just opened the box, and I'm in love. I'm usually an 8.5-9, and the 9 was huge on my so I exchanged it and now they are perfect.

These are beautiful boots. I originally bought a 6.5 but decided they were a little too big and exchanged for a 6. The toe gets narrow so it could be tough to determine your size. The stonewash looks great. These require breaking in. I think the style is much cuter than the Melissa Button.

I love these boots! Through trial and error I've learned that paying for quality in boots is worth it. I'm a big fan of TJ Maxx and other stores, but if you buy a $99 pair of boots, expect to wear them one season, maybe two. Buy a pair that is well made and lined in leather and they will last at least ten years. I'm a 9.5 so I bought a 9.5 but they were a little too big so I ordered a 9 and they fit perfectly. Frye boots without a zipper are incredibly hard to get on - it takes real effort for the first month or so and then they slide on. I bought a pair last year that not took like 5 minutes of major straining to get them on, I had to have my son take them off because I couldn't do it myself. Then they stretched and I wore them constantly. Same thing is happening with these - I thought it was impossible to get them on but once I did, they fit like a glove.

Beautiful boots, sadly they are a bit tight in the calf. Need to return these, and enjoy the short version. Gotta love Zappos!

This is a very comfortable, stylish boot, and fits true to size. I own two pairs in different colors, and wear them all the time.

These are the most insanely comfortable boots in the entire universe. They fit like a dream! I am on the slimmer side (but not super skinny by any means), and my calves fit fine in them. They provide excellent support (for me, at least), and I feel like I could walk for miles in them. I also feel like a million bucks in them, as they are so beautifully crafted and go with any outfit!

I LOVE these boots. I have medium sized calves and these fit pretty well. They are tight though. Definitely have to wear tight pants, but that is what I wear with boots anyway. HIGHLY recommend. They are comfortable and stretch a little after you wear them. Gorgeous boots. Look exactly like the pictures.

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. They were a the top of her list. She wore them immediately and quite possibly everyday since. She loves the look, comfort and style. She's a lawyer by day and country singer-song writer by night. Perfect for both jobs!
