The backpack in zinc grey/powder blue is a nice color with plenty of pockets and room. It is comfortable to wear as well. The only issue is when I take it off and set it down it falls forward; it won't sit well no matter how I fill it.

I love this bag. It's attractive, lightweight, and overall satisfying. It is the perfect bag for a high schooler. However, it is better for those without a ton of supplies to carry around. In the computer pocket I manage to carry around 6-7 folders and in the main compartment I can carry a binder or two, a notebook, and maybe a book. That and the pockets are my only grievance. I always bring a water bottle where ever I go. I have the HydroFlask 30 oz water bottle and the 40 oz bottle. After using the book bag for only 4-5 months, the pocket I kept my water bottle in fully ripped and my water bottle fell causing it to dent. Just recently, after having the bag for less than a year, the other pocket ripped and I can no longer carry a water bottle. It is really unfortunate and I have not been able to find somewhere to repair it. Also, I had heard that the bag was a little stiff and sat higher up on the back and I was slightly worried about how it might affect my back, however, the bag sits perfectly and I have little to no pain when carrying it.

I use this backpack for school everyday and it is so modern and comfortable. The only issue I have is that when I set it on the ground by my desk, it tips over so I have to lean it against my desk.

I love this backpack. I bought it for my mother as I already have one for 2 years now. I use for school and traveling. It's super comfy and has lots of room in different pockets and I like the design which is classic. I do have to say I prefer the previous version of the borealis which has a softer pocket for a laptop (same fabric as the small sunglasses pocket). My bag is a little worn out inside which is a bummer. I hope the new version is more durable

I am currently enrolled in Nursing school and we have about 10 text books we used in the quarter, along with our laptops, notebooks, and binders. I had purchased another companies backpack, which did not hold up. After receiving the North Face backpack, I could tell it was a lot more durable. I had a small manufacturing defect where the material behind "The North Face" stitching was bleached out, but North Face gave me the option of returning and exchanging or getting 20% refunded. All in all, I think this will work for my needs in school as well as if I ever want to go day hiking,

I use this backpack for school. Generally, it has enough space for what I need but if I try to put in a textbook it gets a bit difficult. I love the water bottle seatbelt, it's super convenient and the side pockets are a great size. The backpack is really cute and seems durable though I've only had it for a few months. The only problem is that when I set it on the ground next to my chair, it ALWAYS falls over on its front and doesn't stand upright like I wish it would.

I previously had the Jester that North Face had circa August 2013. I loved it. It had perfect pockets and small, unique storage areas. It was also very comfortable and lightweight. 6 years later, I figured it was time for a new backpack. I got the Borealis because it had more pockets than the Jester and I do love the color of it and how it looks. However, I miss the pockets my old Jester had! The front pocket went all the way to the bottom and the zipper was huge. I just feel like it fit all of my school stuff better. I've also noticed my backpack is a little top heavy now because of how my stuff sits in it. It's like I don't have enough at the bottom of the big pocket and the top pocket puffs out. Just some adjustments I have to make, I'm still happy with my purchase. I will forever buy North Face backpacks, they are so comfortable and look great :)

This is the best backpack I've ever owned. Its comfortable, has a place for all my school supplies, and I think I'll be using it even after I've finished college. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't hold as many books as I want it to. I can usually fit my computer, two binders, a notebook, and one textbook in there, along with pens and stuff. Theres just days where I need to carry more than that, so I end up carrying a book or two in my arms. Not disappointed at all though!

I have really long school days and have to take a lot of things to campus. This bag fits everything I need and more! I love putting a sweatshirt in the bungee chords on the front and using the side straps to attach my lunchbox to my bag. I love how organized I can keep things and how protected my laptop is in its own pocket!

Overall I think the product is great. I'm using this bag for school. My only problem is that the book bag is a little small. I can fit about 3 2inch binders in there before the book bag is at its limit

Great durable product. But as a note to North Face, their old backpack design had a really deep front pocket that fit all my stuff. The new, shallower front pocket is awkward and results in my stuff being front loaded into that pocket. The bottom of my backpack is always hollow and ends up being wonky.

Exactly what I was looking for, good investment since they last without ripping or wearing out. I also own a Surge North Face Backpack. The Surge does have more room and pockets. I will state however I purchased the all backpack with the grey north face logo and the one I received was all black with a black logo. Really liked how the grey stood out but don't mind the black on black.

I loved the color and the design, lots of room and able to carry your laptop. Buit to last, my only issue with the backpack is that it was too small my height is 5'11" and it was too small, I felt most of my back wasn't covered and the backpack piled too much on my neck. I wish I could use the backpack but I'm returning it and buying a male backpack, seeing if size changes.

I love the way this backpack looks and all the pockets it includes. I just wish the front pocket (where you put pens, pencils, and small personal items) had a little more room and extended to the bottom of the backpack instead of stopping in the middle. Overall, I'm very pleased!

I just starting using this backpack for college today, but I already love it! It's cute and gives me good back support. My only qualm with it is that the pockets are all a little too small, so I can't fit much in them. I also just wish it stood up on its own like a previous backpack I had.

This was made for a smaller woman, not my 5'11" daughter for school. It was too small in the shoulders.

I love this backpack. It holds a lot but the shape doesn't give out. I use it for work, school, and for traveling and it never fails to work great. However, one complaint I do have is that the two side pockets to hold a water bottle are very flimsy. They are made of thin material and it constantly seems like it's going to tear. This backpack is still fairly new for me - so we'll see how ti holds up.
