I really like the backpack, it's the first North Face backpack I own, and you can tell its great quality. I can tell I'll have this backpack for a really long time and can use it for many uses travel, outdoors, commuting. However, the only thing I noticed is that it might be a bit heavy? Other than that great! I'm also petitie and I like how it's not too big

This is not my first North Face backpack and have always chosen North Face backpacks for its quality and durability. I got this backpack for personal use (i.e., traveling, hiking, etc.). Love the color and the amount/variety of pockets this offers. I also like the padding on the straps and back of the backpack - very comfy. My main complaint about the backpack is that the bottom of the backpack is not flat and does not stand up on its own - so when placing it down the backpack often tilts or just falls completely flat on the front. Overall a great backpack, would still recommend.

I use it for school and I often find that there isn't enough room for all my books and my lunch etc. but it fits very comfortably and is very durable

I ended up returning this backpack only because I was looking for something that would stand up easily while using it for work. I think it would've been a great bag for the trail.

This backpack is the best backpack I have ever had. I have used others similar in price, but none of them have worked this well. I have plenty of space for all of my belongings. Even on the days I need to pack extra. Despite being able to fit everything I need within the bag, it is still compact enough to not get in the way. The only thing I would say is that when placed on laminate floor, it commonly slides down instead of standing up.

I use this to carry my laptop daily and a bunch of things to school being a teacher. It's nice! It does have lots of space. Only thing is it doesn't like to stand up straight. It likes to lay down

My kids each have one. It is a well designed pack, but the bottle pocket could use a little more reinforcement.

I have had my Borealis for 4+ years for high school, college, and travel. Love the padded laptop compartment and useful compartments throughout (1 big, 1 medium, 1 smaller outer). I have had NO holes on the bottom even after years of wear, and backpack doesn't stain/rip easily EXCEPT the mesh bottle holders. (Does hold 32 oz. Hydroflask, though). The mesh ripped very easily and now anything I put in the holders falls through. I wish TNF made the bottle holders out of a different material, because no other part of the backpack show signs of wear and tear. It is also frustrating that they do not really offer a repair for the rips, I would definitely be willing to pay a fee for them to replace the mesh. Overall, great backpack, comfortable with laptops/notebooks/textbooks, very durable and spacey, but the mesh bottle holders SUCK. Also, if this matters, kept my stuff temperate even in extreme Minnesota weather!

I like the roomy second compartment, and the padded laptop compartment. The whole bag feels well constructed, but the shoulder straps feel really stiff. I hope with usage the straps will soften a bit.

I love this product! The backpack is very stylish! The blue is vibrant and the backpack is comfortable! My con is that the backpack might be small. I would still recommend to a friend if they don't carry many books.

I use this for my everyday backpack in college. I like it a decent amount, especially since there's a special section just for your laptop (as many of my peers have begun to have pockets like these in their backpacks). However, I find this pocket a little big for JUST a laptop, but not really big enough for anything else. The zipper section after that, intended to have everything else, is decently large enough, but not as large as I would hope. The lack of space may also be due to the fact that the backboard of the backpack is a little too stiff, and bends outwards. Therefore, when my backpack sits, it falls forward, which is rather annoying and inconvenient, and although I've been trying to correct this by bending my backpack the other way (towards my back), it still doesn't give the way I want to.

I love my backpack! Very spacious for all my school supplies, only down side is that it doesn't stand straight. Other than that it works for everything I need in school

I had the older version of the Borealis and I thought it was a good time to upgrade. Purchased this new and updated version and I absolutely love it. Sleek, comfortable, universal use, stylish, and comes in different colors.
It's safe to put my MacBook Pro in which was important to me. Given my class assignments, etc. will be placed in there for nursing school, I made sure it had all the pockets for my things. I'm also a commuter student.
My only complaint would be: structure that doesn't allow it to stand up against something on its own. You have to REALLY stuff the backpack with things & if you have too much in the small front compartment versus the larger one... it falls forward because of the structure. Something I'm still having a hard time adjusting to since August 2019.

I use the backpack as a working professional who brings her lunch to work. It's got a good numer of pockets (but I could always use more pockets). I don't carry a laptop or tablet with me, so the backpack is simple enough for my needs.

Just the type of backpack I was looking for! I was in need of a new backpack, as I use one all the time for weekend getaways, travel, bringing a change of workout clothes to work, etc. I use one as a bag for many needs. This one fit what I wanted it for! It also looks very nice.

Hopefully this knapsack will hold up. We shall see! This is the third knapsack this school year, and I bought it because it has a great reputation.

I love this backpack, it has a ton of room and the straps and back support are great. I love the computer compartment and the front pockets, the only thing that made me give it 4 stars is how it's top heavy and does not have much of a base to sit upright on. It really isn't a problem for me and I don't really mind that it is top heavy.

I am using Borealis pack from several years now. The new one I love the color options but I am concerned that there is no pleat protecting zippers which I found very useful on rainy days. My last backpack I didn't like that the bottle pocket was too tight and short so my bottles were always falling and I lost severals. Unfortunately this new design have the same bottle pockets. Size wise is a very great day backpack and perfect for 2 days travel. Is also good for business not to much straps that isn't good for commuting

This is the best backpack that we have found for our family with school and college and even adults when traveling and for business. Very durable and stylish. We have tried so many others and these are the most durable!
