This pack fits a petite frame well. I travel with it in the city all day everyday. I have room for everything I need. It's padded and the shoulder straps are comfortable. I recommend it to all.

I just began using this backpack yesterday. My travel involves approximately 41 hours of straight through traveling (five airplanes, and one helicopter through international areas). There aren't always easy ways to exit the plane and get to your next area, so having a backpack, rather than a rolling bag is a great advantage. I've tried other backpacks and this is absolutely the most comfortable bag ever! It makes a great deal of sense to scale the pack to a typical woman's size rather than a one size fits all. I have this filled up completely AND have things under the straps and hanging and I can still wear it comfortably (and get to my next passport area before everyone else because I'm not dragging or carrying anything to slow me down).

I purchased this backpack about three weeks ago and have been using it for two weeks. I'm already very happy with this purchase. It was a bit pricey, but it was definitely worth it. The zippers are tough and sturdy, so I don't have to worry about breaking them by over-stuffing the bag. In addition, the midsection strap really made a difference when I was schlepping my laptop, notebooks, and textbooks across campus. It was quite a relief to my shoulders. The backpack is also roomy enough to use as an overnight bag. I'll be using it as an airplane carry-on from now on, since it's more comfortable and convenient than any of the tote bags I've used before. I can already tell I'll get a lot of use out of this bag. After seeing my Borealis and hearing how much I like it, my boyfriend bought the men's version online. Hopefully he'll love it as much as I do! I would recommend this bag to anyone; it's the most versatile, comfortable backpack I've ever had.

The bag is just what I am looking for as far as accommodations and room. I am medical student and I am planning on using this bag every day. The laptop slot could be a bit more padded I wasn't expecting the padding to be that thin. The other negative point about this bag is there is so many hooks and clips. I ended up clipping them off because they are not useful and used fire from a lighter to make sure the edges would not disintegrate. The bag is beautiful and have the perfect amount of compartments and great organization.

This bag has been used for five years of schooling, carrying textbooks, laptops, you name it! I've also used it as my main carry-on any time I travel and the bag still looks brand new! I will never buy a backpack other than a North Face after this.

Durable with a comfortable fit and lots of pockets. It's a women's bag because it matches our curves and had close fitted shoulders. The back is stiff, it takes time to break it in, but the support is worth the effort. Comfy for everyday use even when full to capacity.

I think this backpack is amazing. It has a lot of compartments to put your things. You can even put your laptop in the bag, it has a pocket just for your laptop. It is waterproof which is amazing for horrible weather. I carry my bag to school so I needed a heavy duty bag and something that was good for my back. Go get this backpack you will love it!

Love this! I was looking for a replacement for my Recon, which had a good nine-year run and this fits the bill. I love the number of overall pockets and especially like the varying sizes of the pockets in the organizational area. I was a little worried about the color (went with the Rabbit Grey). On the Zappos site, it looked to be slightly lavender in color, but on other sites, it appeared to be grey. Happy to report that the bag is in fact grey. Happy with this purchase!

This product is great quality and has plenty of room for all my books and hasn't huge side pockets for 36oz water bottle, even a bigger one too.

Color was accurate, and delivered quickly. Only had a month, but seems durable. It is comfortable, and easy on back and shoulders which was most important with heavy books. Love it!

I just want to say that this backpack exceeded my expectations. I love everything about it! As a college student, I have to make sure I'm getting something that won't weigh me down and is good on the shoulders and back due to carrying around heavy books. I bought the Sea Spray/Pink one and it is gorgeous! It was exactly as pictured, if not better. :-) Thank you The North Face!!!

OK so I got this backpack for high school and like I love it when it came in (btw pretty fast shipping) but when i was observing the backpack I noticed that the back where the "sporting your back" part wasn't as buff or pumped whatever. Like you know when you press on it, it would come right back up.. well parts of it on the back were not 100% cushioned. SO I guess you could say it was uneven. And that disappointed me bc i was hoping it'll be in a 10/10 condition. There's like some missing or broken parts on the back :( And the front was like creased too. I'll give it 5 starts if these things were to be fixed.

this was a birthday present, and my daughter loves it. The way the pockets are designed are perfectly easy and can accommodate different size items and it feels really good on her back.

We ordered it twice. The service is good, and I got refunded fast the first time. And then we received our order on the 3rd day after placing the 2nd order.

This Product is amazing! I use it mainly for hiking, and it fits everything I need for day hikes. I also sometimes use it for school, and it fits all my materials, which, as a biology student, is very helpful. It's a good, solid bag and I'm not worried about it breaking down on me, which is very important to me as I am someone who is on the go a lot.

I've been using the Women's Borealis Backpack for school and it has been great so far. One of the biggest advantages for me is that it easily fits my 16-inch gaming laptop, which is usually pretty bulky and heavy. What surprised me the most is how comfortable it feels when carrying a heavy laptop. Compared with a regular backpack, the weight feels much better distributed, so it doesn't feel as heavy on my shoulders when walking around campus. The backpack also has plenty of space for notebooks, chargers, and other daily essentials, making it very practical for school.

I haven't had any issues with this backpack at all. It carries a large amount of books and school supplies like a laptop. Only. Downfall is the white does get dirty easily

Absolutely love the North Face backpacks! We just retired one that was over 10 years old and had been used continuously and other than one small rip that recently happened, it held up beautifully. That's why we went right back to North Face to get a replacement. Love all the pockets, the size is just right and the durability is second to none!
