These are the BEST shoes for plantar fasciitis. No more foot pain. They have wide options too!! I use my inserts. LOVE THEM!

Bought two pair of these shoes. Fit perfectly (I have a wide foot, and often have a tough time finding shoes that fit). Also have orthopedics and after removing insert they fit perfectly as well. I have been wearing NB for years and couldn't be happier.

Ordered these for my husband. They are his 10th pair of new balance shoes. Fit is perfect but the wore them out door son a Rainey day, now the sole have an odor we cannot get rid of. Must return.

Only shoe available in a 15 or 16 AA. Fortunately a well-made shoe with good support. If this shoe were not available I'd have nothing to wear! I appreciate New Balance making this shoe and Zappos for stocking it!

I have a narrow foot and this comes in a B width. the M990 replaces the previous model #992. So far very happy with the replacement. I wish the B width came in other colors like tan. Zappos is great the orders get delivered in an amazingly short time.

This is about my 6th pair of New Balances from the 900 series of shoes. I have to say these are my favorites of the bunch, much lighter in weight and less bulky to the eye than any of the other previous versions. These also have a bit more cushion, but still a good firm feeling which I appreciate. I have lower back issues and these are my go to shoes when I have any discomfort, I find they help a great deal. If you have purchased other 900 series shoes you know the quality of these shoes is superior. However, the nice suede does have its issues. I have had good luck cleaning the grey suede with light soap and water, that being said they will only look new for so long. This go around I went with the beige/gold versions, which look very classy to me. They came with a matching beige lace which I switched out to the white lace, looks just right. I hope to see more colors come out in this shoe as its my favorite. Zappos service as always is the best in the business.

These shoes were a replacement for New Balance M993 that I wore out. These M990s have the same good fit and comfort. I prefer the sole on this shoe as it gives a better grip when wet than the 993 did. A plus for me is that it is also made in the USA.

Zappos had the NB M990 to me fast. The order had what I ordered and all was well with the world. GREAT JOB!

These are great shoes. I'm very tall and need better support than most people, and these deliver. I also need EE width, and New Balance offers it. Oh, and the shoes look great too. Great styling and colors.

These shoes do not run true to size. The first pair did not fit even though they were the size I measure. I returned them and got the larger pair the very next day! I do not know how the second pair came so quickly, but I must say the entire process was effortless and I have a pair of shoes that I absolutely love! Thank you, Zappos, you have made me a regular customer!

This is my second pair of the New Balance M990. They are comfortable and look good. The arch support could be more firm, but I wear prescription orthotics that provide excellent arch support. I would buy the M990 again.

I have tried just about every style and brand of running shoe out there and I keep coming back to New Balance. This model in particular will not turn any heads, but if you are serious about comfort and performance in running shoes, there is no comparison. They are worth every penny.

These are perhaps the most comfortable shoes I've worn. If only dress shoes and boots could be this comfortable! These New Balances are well-constructed, with smart design features like strategically-placed patches of reflective material. There's even a little bit on the soles! And the color scheme is subdued, so you can wear them in casual, non-athletic contexts without being the biggest dork at the cookout.

The M990 is my favorite New Balance shoe. It is so comfortable and easy to wear. The fit and feel is perfect for my morning exercise with the built in arch and fantastic shock absorption in the heel of the shoe it makes for the best daily run/walk ever. I also have a couple of pair just for fun.

These shoes are by far the most trusted by runners in the armed forces overseas. They are well built and hold up much longer in the heat and dirt. when I'm finished running I'll take my hat off, maybe my shirt, but taking off my shoes never occurs to me because still feel so comfortable. I am 6'0" 170 30yr old and run a sub 7:40 mile 30 miles a week year after year in 990's.

I have a hard time finding extra wide shoes that fit me well (12 1/2 4E). Some shoes that claim to be extra wide make the shoe body hang over the sole on both sides. This shoe is genuinely the correct width. There is plenty of room for my prescription orthotics. Appearance is good and not flashy bright colors like so many athletic shoes.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I really like them for running. Very supportive, comfortable, and good width for my wide feet. You can't go wrong with New Balance. A great choice for a running shoe.

I love these shoes! They fit, they are comfortable and wear very well. But, they come in four basic colors? How about a little flash next time!

This shoe is great for running out on a harder surface. I was used to wearing track flats, but when I used them for longer runs on the road I ended up with horrible shin splits. These shoes solved the problem. Not to mention they came in a wider size 12EE. For anyone with wide feet these are great. Overall comfort and stability is wonderful as well. I only wish the tongue would stay centered. Maybe some elastic on the tongue would be a great addition. Other than that great shoe, worth the money.

For me this is an excellent shoe. The fit is excellent for my feet. Quality is very good and is very comfortable and well made. I will buy it again.

I got a pair of these for myself in women's. I liked them so much my husband wanted same shoe. His is beige and he truly likes everything about this shoe. Fit true to size and he has a wide foot (EEEE) but it was fine. We both like the beige color. I wish I could have gotten my woman's shoe in beige but it was not offered. He can wear this color for many occasions and looks casual dressy. He stand all day long at his job and has always ordered good shoes. He is also very hard to please, but loves this shoe. Yes, it is expensive but the long wear and excellent comfort is worth it to us. We are older couple, and our parents always told us, "wear good shoes, take care of your teeth and eyes. You only get ONE pair of each for a lifetime." We try always to live by that excellent advice from the last generation.

With the proper insert these shoes are extremely supportive and comfortable. They look fantastic in jeans or with shorts. They go with just about anything. This is my second pair of M990 and the first pair lasted a very long time and I still wear them around the house and for walks. This is the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. It forced me into great posture for walking and standing around. When I do run they really really cushion my steps.

Like Zappos this shoe is top of the class. I'm on my 3rd pair. On second thought, no shoe is as good as the people at Zappos. Sorry New Balance.

This is the fourth pair of New Balance 990s that I have purchased for my dad in the past six years. He is super picky about comfort, but he has traveled all over the world since retirement in these shoes. They provide sturdy support for walking all day.
