I love these shoes they are so comfortable and well made and above all they are well made in the good USA.

These are very comfortable shoes once they are broken in which usually takes a couple of days for me. I have foot problems and these shoes seem to help the most for me.

Excellent shoe. The cost is somewhat higher than others of comparable quality, but it is worth it to me as it is made in the USA.

I have narrow feet and New Balance are the only athletic shoes I can wear. Just got home from the gym and these shoes fit and feel great.

I have had numerous pairs of this model New Balance shoes, and really like them. I like shopping on Zappos... it's so much more convenient than going to a brick and mortar store, and I don't have to use money in gas driving. Fast delivery and no shipping charges. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Zappos a 10.

Too bad these shoes do not come in an E width. This model jumps from a D to a EE and the EE is so wide it makes the front of the shoe pucker after I lace it up. A regular D is just a bit too tight but the EE is definitely too wide.

I'm on my fifth pair of these shoes; I get a new pair every year or so. These are my daily shoes. I work at a university working on computers, so I wear blue jeans and my gray New Balance M990's. They look good in a neutral way: there are no garish fluorescent colors or flashy branding. I think these are what Steve Jobs wore every day. One reason I picked these is that I have narrow feet and these are one of the rare shoes that fit me properly. My M990's are comfortable, though I am thinking go moving up a half a size. For a 10.5 they are a bit snug in the toes when I where thicker athletic socks.

Let me count the ways I love this shoe. Comfortable, strong, supportive. But most of all, comfortable. It was a New Balance employee who first properly measured my foot and helped me realize why Nikes hurt my EE feet. Solid product, solid brand.

It's hard to find a sneaker, that doesn't look like you are dressing to go to work as a school crossing guard. Day glow green with red dots and blue shoestrings isn't my color. Thanks to Zappos I have an adult choice.

Great Shoe, nice room in the toe bed. Runs true to size which is nice. I bought these for a guy with very wide feet and he LOVES them. It's my 3rd pair and go to birthday gift for him every year.

Very nice shoe. I've had them a couple of weeks now and must say that they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. One thing though--the white laces are not right for this shoe so I bought some gray ones online.

I have been wearing New Balance for the past 15 years and have recently purchased two pairs of #990 style Navy and Black. In the past I stuck to the standard grey, year after year. I have had many other manufactured athletic shoes and find New Balance the very best made. No problem with odor. I don't have foot odor with any shoes I wear. Great stability too.

I am in my third pair...all 991 and they fit well and are super comfortable. No odor problem with any one, at any time.

I just wore out a pair of 990...ordered two more pairs black, and navy. Never had a problem, perhaps it's that my feet never sweat and never have an odor. I also change over every night.

Great shoe. I go through 2 pair per year. Consistent fit. I average 500 miles per pair. Lately it seems I am getting less miles. The current pair has just over 400 miles and I am having to replace.

Bought these shoes for my husband, who needs a size 15 and an extra wide fit. These shoes are very comfortable and I can always rely on New Balance to actually fit him!

I have worn NB for years. I know which shoes I like and I know my size. So I can order my NB shoe from anywhere, it always comes true to size. NB makes great shoes and the 990 is at the top of that list.

Amazing shoes. Lightweight and very comfortable. I bought these for a vacation where a lot of walking would be involved and they passed the test with flying colors. I love New Balance and these are the best I've had.

I have purchased several pairs of the NB 990 over the years. They are worth the extra cost and wear very well. These are my everyday shoes and I mean every day! I am a large person and they still last 6 months or more.

My husband has problem feet and these are great shoes. Ideal fit. We wish there was more varieties of wide NB shoes for men like these. Different colors, styles, etc.

I wore these shoes traveling in Europe. Even with lots of sidewalk and museum walking and standing, my feet never bothered me. I also tend to pronate, so these shoes were a blessing. They're the most comfortable shoes I've worn in years.

There not as comfortable as other New Balance. I was hoping with the high price that they were. I wish I would have returned them before i wore them. Oh well....The EE is wider than usual. But I found good comfy insoles and it makes the shoe fit much nicer.

Zappos' service was excellent. The shoes arrived promptly and are an excellent fit. That is no small feat when narrow, size 13 shoes are needed. Great job, Zappos, please continue to carry the hard to find sizes.

Nice shoes. I wear an 11.5 in 4E. New Balance is about the only shoe that fits but I like the quality and comfort. I have the tan pair and the gray pair. Made in USA!

My husband purchased these shoes from Zappos. A few weeks ago I began to notice an odor in the walk-in closet which we share. On closer examination I discovered the odor coming from these shoes. They reeked! The smell is most like cat urine, but we don't have a cat for that reason. Having removed the shoes from the closet and the house, I discovered that this is not an isolated problem (check other customer reviews). I examined all his other shoes and discovered that they were free of odor. It is most definitely a M990 shoe problem! Unfortunately, we just recently repeated our mistake by buying another pair of 990s from Zappos. We are very unhappy. Zappos should remove this shoe from their lineup. In addition, my husband just purchased another pair of New Balance shoes (M1540). I hope this is not a company-wide problem with New Balance.
