My husband says these sneakers are the most comfortable for everyday use. He will purchase more in the near future.

My NB1123's have died and are out of production. As a 68 year old diabetic and daily treadmill walker with bad feet I was desperate. The M990's have been a Godsend. They may even be better than the 1123's and I loved them.

My boyfriend absolutely loves the sneakers! He was very impressed with them & they fit perfectly! Very good quality for the price!

I have owned N990 since 2004. Every two years I decide to give a new shoe a chance, but with in a few months I find myself back to the N990. I'm short stocky guy who does not look like a runner, many shoes can't handle running form, but the N990 have never failed me. I won't buy anything other shoe for running. They are not the most flashy shoe on the market, but they sure are the best built and fitting shoe I have ever owned.

Very comfortable! I wear a size 16 in Nike but had to buy these in 15. Not only were they perfect in size but the width of 4E ran true to what I needed. I ordered these shoes after buying a size 16 on Zappos, too big, and the lady I spoke with on the phone, used 1 day shipping to send me the replacement ones! Zappos is truly an amazing company, and I will be sure to order my shoes on here from now on.

I had seen a few people wearing these shoes in the hospital. I work in health care and, as everyone knows, we are on our feet all the time. I usually wear Merrell slip-ons with an orthotic. I thought I would try these with an orthotic as well. I was pleasantly surprised and I will say that these compete with the Merrells very well. I like these shoes very much. I would buy these again.

I really love the comfort of the New Balance M990 shoes. Only wish the toe was longer. A mild annoyance.

I bought these to help my poor feet cope with vigorous 12 hour warehouse shifts that involve repetitive heavy lifting and moving at a fast pace. I was skeptical after putting them on for the first time, as they did not feel as comfortable as I had expected after reading the reviews. They felt very stiff and thin. After 2 weeks of heavy use, I can easily say these are the best shoes I have ever bought, period. Not only did they eliminate any foot pain during or after shifts, they also increased my times on the job (quota based), since they are much lighter compared to my old boots and stay tight all day. Once they are broken in, they are absolutely amazing. My feet no longer throb after shifts and they no longer ache when I wake up. That alone is worth it to me. My only 'complaint' is the mesh upper on the top of the foot. It's not a big deal though, just can't be completely careless when dealing with heavy objects. These were my first pair of New Balances and they exceeded my expectations. I plan on ordering another pair to wear casually.

This is not the flashiest of athletic shoes but it is a classic. I had foot surgery a while back and this shoe provides the cushion and stability I need post surgery, no other shoes have done that and believe me I've tried on a bunch of other brands. Best of all? Made in the USA! How often can you say that anymore?

Finally a pair of NB that actually fit. I ordered the 4E, other NB 4E shoes have been too narrow. I like these and thinking of getting another pair.

Great shoe, back to the comfort level of the old 991. Huge improvement over the most recent model, the 993. Lighter weight and comfortable right out of the box.

Super comfortable. The M990 has a great balance between cushioning and support. It looks great and will easily carry over to casual wear if need be. A bit pricey, but I couldn't turn it down.

This is a super comfortable shoe for all activities. I've had them for about a month and wear them almost every day and they are holding up very well.

Wow! I love these shoes. Worth the high price as they are "Made In USA"! Very comfortable.

I have worn this shoe 990 for many years- just bought the new one. As usual it is the best of all others I've ever worn. I have a bad arthritis and it is necessary for me to wears these shoes almost every day. When I saw my cardiologist wearing the same 990 for his work- he also said he has worn it for years and highly reccommends them to all of his patients.

We can always count on Zappos to help us with our needs. Our son needs extra, extra, extra width and it is very difficult to find a shoe that fits him. This shoe is perfect! He loves the comfort.

Great shoe for running/walking. Larger sole makes for slight heel discomfort while driving.

These are excellent for my 6'3", 213# husband. They are very hard to find in his size. He is a 14 narrow! I hope Zappos continues to carry them. I bought 2 pairs this time. That is how good they are.

Do not know what has happened, but this shoe is too narrow. I have been buying New Balance for years. I have a 4E width foot and have not had a problem until this order.

I'm a walker, not a runner, but I walk a lot. I wore the New Balance 991 for several years, and these are just as comfortable, and a little lighter weight, too. Like the 991's, I found that a half size larger than my normal size works best. Overall a really good shoe.

Fantastic! Love the fact that these are made in the USA. The quality and workmanship is superb. Very comfortable. I will only purchase New Balance made in USA collection from now on.
