I am a big guy at 6'3" and 235 lbs. Size 40 fits perfect throughout. Love the comfort for walking on the beach or just hanging out. Buying more as soon as I get to the store.

Love the short, light and well fit for climbing.

The best shorts. Lightweight. Great color. Pockets galore. I'm 6'2 180 and the 34's were a little big. 32's may have worked, but I've got a big rump. they're true to size! Get a pair or two. I'm wearing these all summer!

Husband loved these, almost a waterproof type material but I would caution to order a size up - he is normally a 34 and in these he is a 36.

Comfortable for normal length, good style, light, easy to clean, well made, like the 10" best, definitely runs a size small. Ordered my usual 34", had to return for a 36" and fit perfect.

After using the Silver Ridge Cargo Pants, I decided to try the shorts. They perform well for me in a variety of hot conditions. The thing I like about them is that they're quick drying and the cargo pockets are just the right size where other cargo pockets are either cavernous or not big enough.

Nice light pair of shorts. Looking forward to wearing them once the weather really begins to warm up here in Arkansas. Like the black belt that comes with, I wear them with other pants/shorts when I don't want a real belt. They fit true, I wear a 30 but got a 32 for fear of them fitting a bit small. Thanks to the partially elasticated waist though I could still wear them without a belt if I really needed to.

Excellent mobility and breath ability. They also have a stylish appearance...because we all know hiking is all about how you look...;)

I buy Columbia for the reliability. Got these for my son-in-law because he is a big fisherman. Scored the big points on more than one occasion. Now it's all I get him. I don't normally buy clothing for someone because you never get the size, style, ect. right-but I can never go wrong with these. Great product!

These shorts are perfect - light weight, rugged, pockets galore, "built-in" belt, no ironing needed, fast drying - and did I mention comfortable? They come in colors to fit any wardrobe requirement, too.

My favorite shorts, I wish they had more colors. Light weight perfect fit, 12 inch inseam, almost like wearing nothing. They run true to size.

I am always looking for good cargo shorts. Most are very heavy, baggy and difficult wash and dry. I purchased two pair a few months ago and I am delighted. They are very light weight and extremely comfortable. They don't stain and after washing, pop them in the dryer and in 10 minutes they come out with no wriggles or shrinking. They give you a tailored look without being too tight, look great on and on the golf course.

This are the pants my 16 year old son uses for school and he LOVES them, they are light and breeze, it keep him cool and comfortable all day even when he plays basket and volleyball in them at school!! I give it two thumbs up, and would definitely recommend!!

Great hiking shorts for warm weather. Very lightweight nylon is quick to dry and relatively cool. They're cut in a more traditional/slimmer fit, so if you're looking for a loose/baggy fit you'll want to size up.

Bought the Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts for fishing, crabbing and general summer outdoor wear. Medium fits very well for me with a 34-35 inch waist. Has a slim tailored look which is appreciated without the total baggie look of most cargo shorts. They dry quickly and have one zipped leg pocket, the others are velcro closures. Would recommend both leg pockets be zipped for valuables safety if you happen to go overboard. Removable belt works well and is practical around water. All in all a great product so far.

I bought the shorts for a four day hike in Olympic National Park. They were comfortable, durable, and functional. The front pockets were deep enough to keep stuff in but not so deep they got in the way. The zip cargo pocket was the feature I really liked for stuff you could not lose.

Great fit in waist and length, color as described, quality of materials very good. They are light and will be great shorts for an active summer. very water resistant. The cargo style pocket is hidden, making the shorts look stylish and well fitting. Overall great quality shorts!

Just what I was looking for. A lightweight short with side velcro pocket. I received my first pair and immediately ordered another pair in different color.

Bought these shorts for my husband for our trip to hot & humid Savannah. Fits true to size, loves all the pockets. Very comfortable, lightweight and nice looking, so much so I got him another pair.

These Columbia Nylon Cargo Shorts are very lightweight and the fit is perfect, better than any shorts my husband has ever worn. I washed these right away just to see how long it would take to dry them as we were planning to take them on a trip. I hung them to dry and they dried wrinkle free within hours so they will be perfect for overnight laundering in the hotel. I ordered another pair right away. I can't say enough about these shorts and of course Zappos has no equal when it comes to prompt and courteous service. Thanks a million for this wonderful product.

Nice looking, fits well. Fully functional and stylish front pockets with easy to access back pockets (just the right amount of Velcro). Can wear right out of the dryer (no special after-wash care required). Light-weight, and quick to dry when wet. Great for camping.

I had to actually collect my shorts from my sons address in San Francisco because Columbia wont ship to New Zealand. In NZ you can only purchase one colour (Sage Green) I will always buy these shorts as they are the absolute best shorts that I have ever owned and likely to own. Robert New Zealand

These seem to be just the ticket for work. I operate a water taxi and these shorts are great. They are cool in the hot weather and dry quickly if I get wet (rain). These shorts came with a narrow web belt, but I wish the belt loops on the shorts were a little larger, so that I could use my larger Columbia web belt. I will be ordering a couple more pair before the summer is over.

The material is lightweight and comfortable. I am able to run, fish, workout, and they still look nice paired with a good shirt. They dry quickly. The only negative, which is my mostly my laziness, they winkle a lot if left in dryer.

I have enjoyed the fit and comfort of these shorts in the humid that climate that I live in during the summer months. The comfort is unreal as they don't stick to you and they are very breathable.
