This is my third pair of the Silver Ridge Cargo shorts - use for hiking or casual dress. Lightweight and quick drying - perfect for summer. Highly recommended.

My husband works in a hot warehouse in
Hawaii. These are not the only shorts that
keep him cool but he also loves the fit and softness of the material. He also uses them for Golf. We cannot find any other short
out there for him to wear. He's been wearing these for 10 yrs.
You will not be disappointed in getting these.
Also the colors are true to the pictures also.

These are very comfortable and work well on the beach as well as on mountain hikes. My phone and wallet are secure in the pockets, while being easily opened when needed. They dry quickly when wet, and these shorts are light weight and very adaptable in various weather situations.

Wanted some ultra-lightweight shorts for day hiking during our scorching summer months. These fit that requirement perfectly. The breath extremely well and dry quickly when wet.
As for fit, I'm 6'4" 225lbs and found the 38 tall fits me exactly, hitting just at the knee and not too slim or too baggy.
There is a very cheap 'belt' included, but don't expect that to last long. I liked the first pair so much I bought a second and use both regulary

The shorts fit well and are very comfortable. The "built-in" belt is nice with a good buckle. The shorts are drying quickly (unexpected storm on a Sunday) and have some stretch. The button feels solid and the zipper is good. The only improvement I can see is the cargo pockets, that do not expand. Overall these cargo shorts are a great buy.

My husband had never worn Columbia Sportswear shorts made from a lightweight fabric. He was convinced cotton was the only comfortable fabric for warm weather. I purchased 3 pair and he loves them. He is 6' 5" tall and while the 10 inch length works he was most satisfied with the 12 inch.

I love these shorts! They are my go to pair when hiking or camping. The material is light enough that it doesn't have you sweating in it, but heavy enough that when I go camping it can handle everything I throw at it. I'll probably buy a few more pairs.

Bought these for my sons. They fit both boys well - one is thin and the other stocky. These shorts have just enough elastic give in the waist. The length is perfect for both boys - one is 5'9" the other 6'2". These are quick drying which is perfect for their outside summer activities.

I own 3 pair of these shorts and 3 pairs of similar cargo pants. In spite of a large selection of other shorts/pants I have in my closet, the comfort afforded me from these products will be my summer wardrobe(I actually wear them all year). We hike, kayak, play with our grandchildren and are generally pretty active. We also enjoy downtime on our porch with a glass of wine.
Having all purpose clothing that can be "ruffed" up while looking good. Is unusual.

Love these shorts! Super lightweight and made well. They are true to size, but there is elastic segment on waistline making them feel snug. I originally ordered size up after reading reviews , but exchanged for my true size after size up was too big. Zappos was in super awesome and quick with exchange.

These cargo shorts are "finally" the shorts my husband is thrilled with. They have so much going for them. The fabric is durable and really lightweight and warm weather friendly. The fabric is of UPF50 so you are protected from the hot suns glare warming up your backside. My husband found out first hand the suns harmful rays can burn you from last summer. They sit right below the waist and have a belt included with these shorts. They also have elastic sides on the waist of the shorts. We also like that the fabric has a moisture wicking quality to them. It's pretty cool how Moisture or perspiration is pulled to the surface of the fabric and evaporates once it gets to the surface. Another tool to help stay dry and cool. The sizing appears to be on point and I chose the 101/2 inseam since my husband is 5'10". He's rocking that inseam. It has front slash pockets and the cargo pockets have a zip and snap pockets. The back pockets are button flap back pockets. That was always a deal breaker when he got to the back pockets he wanted them to be more secure. These shorts are all what he wanted in a great cargo short. I gave him the "grill" color. Since he's rocked these shorts I'm ordering this style in the "gray ash"&"black camo". I've also have learned that when you see what you need... don't hesitate ... and order them. They are what he wanted and desired in his shorts. Yes.... these work!

The hubs is 6'7" and these fit great. Definitely not too short which is always a struggle. He orders one size up and they are comfortable yet not falling off. They are the perfect weight and great for hot weather. We ordered a second pair.
