If you have thin calves, no need to look further than the Frye Jackie. Jackie is a gorgeous boot with great fit and comfort! I've tried many, many pairs trying to get a quality boot that doesn't look ridiculous on my thin legs. I usually wear a size 7.5 or 8 in most brands, but for Frye, 7.5 is my size. These boots were comfortable the first day, I wore them 4 or 5 hours and could have gone longer. Wore them to work soon after and comfortable all day. Granted they are still a smidge roomy at the top of the calf (my calves are 12") but these are about as close as it can get. Looks like these will be my go to boot for many years. I'm a very satisfied Zappos customer, they offer unmatched selection and service!

This is my 2nd pair of Frye boots and I can't say enough about them. The Jackie Button has a heel that is comfortable enough to walk around in for a long day, but keeps that stylish, dressed up look. The Cognac color that I purchased is just absolutely beautiful and I know will get even more beautiful once it becomes worn in. I have very small feel and the 5.5 fits great with an insert. Can't say enough about the Zappos services, Frye Boots and the Jackie Buttons!

I love, love, love these boots! I wear them often and they're very comfortable. I usually wear them with skirts and leggings and they look really good that way. I could tuck my pants into them, but I'm not a big fan of that look. They stand up straight, which I really like. I pretty narrow calves so they fit fine at the top, but for someone with a large calf they might be a bit tight, as it's a pretty narrow opening. The heal gives me some height and the toe is fairly narrow and pretty, not round and clunky. When I was looking for short boots on Zappos.com and without knowing it I kept choosing the same style...in the short version! Frye makes a really great boot!

These are sheer perfection. I am a true 10½ and ordered the 11 to wear with socks. Supple leather, medium width, calf width goes from medium to a little wider and looks so classy. Much better in person than the pictures. They are great for skirts, jeans, leggings. I absolutely love these boots!

These boots are well worth the money. I get so many compliments on them. The heel dresses them up a bit while the style gives them a slight western look. The cognac soft vintage color can be paired with black, brown, or navy, looking great with each. They are incredibly comfortable. I am 5' 2", 120 lb., and I often find boots to be too tight on my calves. These were a tad snug at first but stretched right out after a few wears. These are a very high quality boot.

I love these boots. The leather is very high quality, you hardly have to break them in, and they are super comfortable. I have only had them a couple of weeks, and already I have had many compliments on them. They are fairly slim through the calf and seem to run half a size large.

I love, love these boots. Bought them and took 2 weeks to break them in wearing thicker sock, they fit now like custom made. Well worth it to take time to break in slowly, not just buy a bigger pair.

I LOVE these boots. Best pair I've ever owned. Comfortable right out of the box. Dress up or dress down. Perfect heel height. I was out 8 hours the first night I wore them (dancing included) and I get compliments every time I wear them. I ordered cognac and it's a beautiful, rich color. If I could change them at all it would be to have the shaft a tiny bit stiffer. I can see that they might break down at the ankle after a few years wear but regardless, I'll probably order a black pair next year. :)

I love these boot. I had a previous pair (another Brand) but they killed my feet as my width is on the wider side. These look good, are very comfortable and I have received lots of compliments.

I love these boots. They are so comfortable and they fit my calf perfectly. I'm short only 5'2.

This boot is awesome! Super comfortable, plenty of room in the calf to go over jeans, etc. and it looks fantastic. Very comfortable too. Worth every penny!

This is my second pair of Frye boots and I absolutely love them! I love the fact that they give you a little height without giving up comfort. I have worn these with skinny jeans, tights, and skirts and they look great with everything, whether you dress them up or dress them down. If you are a true Frye boots fan, you will not be disappointed, the quality and craftsmanship are exceptional and the style is everything you look for in knee high boots.

I have thicker calves. I cant pull these boots all the way up, but they look amazing anyway. I pull them as far as they can go (about 3/4 of the way) and then stick my heel into the foot bed. It pretty much turns these boots into a scrunch boot and they look awesome that way. I am so in love with the slouch effect and could not be happier with the fact that they don't pull all the way up. I wish I could post a picture. Don't be afraid of slouching these boots!

This is a great looking boot. One caution...if you have more than skinny legs the top may be tight. Fits like a glove around the calf.

Great looking boot but more narrow in the calf than expected. I have very muscular calves and these just would not pull up. Besides that, I give the boot 5 stars!

I love these boots! So comfortable and stylish...looks great with lacy dresses or just jeans and a white t! I can wear them all day...leather is beautiful.

These are my favorite pair a Frye boots I own. I love everything about them! I have the Melissa Button and the Jane Strappy as well. I have smaller calves and these boots fit perfect. No huge gap like the Melissa Buttons. The Jane Strappy are great too because you can adjust the size with the straps but these are good all on their own. They can be both dressy and casual. The Cognac Pressed Nubuck is a fantastic color! Very rich looking. I typically wear a 7 1/2 in most shoes, but all my Frye boots have been a 7. I can wear a boot sock with them as well. Do not order up a size because they will stretch as time goes on. As usual Zappos was incredible. I order three different pairs in different colors and sizes. They were at my house the next afternoon. Love Zappos!

As far as I'm concerned these are the perfect black boots. I spent months haunting Zappos looking for the right pair, and tried/returned a couple other styles first. In black pressed nubuck, they are nice enough for skirts without being overly dressy and they are casual enough for jeans. Sort of classic-meets-country. I'm 5'8" with long legs and the narrow, slightly-slouchy fit is perfect. The heel is higher than I usually wear, but quite comfortable. Love.

I was looking for a higher quality boot to replace the Steve Madden boots I used to wear (and ruin) every winter and fall. These definitely fit the bill! I have bigger calves and was worried about the fit of these boots, especially after reading some reviews here. Although the boots were a bit tight on my calves the first day or so, they fit perfectly now over tights and jeans. The ankles do bag a bit and the heel is roomy; however, I don't see a way to avoid the ankle thing without the boots either being bigger throughout the shaft or skin-tight from toe to top. Highly recommend!

These boots are beautiful on! Just beware if you have a wide foot - because of the shape of the toe, they run slightly narrow - not enough for me to return. They look awesome with jeans tucked in or leggings. They are a dressy, slightly western, casual look! Incredibly well made. Just gorgeous!

So the sizing for Frye is all over the place - I originally got these in the soft black leather in a 9 and they were slipping off my heel immediately. Sent them back, they sent me the cognac (wrong color) in a 9 - which was perfect fit! So I am finally exchanging them one more time hopefully in 9 and hopefully they will fit! Long story short - they vary greatly from pair to pair in the same size.

I've been searching for the perfect boots for a while. I'm very picky, and so far this is the first pair I've kept. I've tried the Paige Riding - love the style, but struggled getting them on and off, like majorly struggled. Then I tried the Melissa Button, but they were a little too Western for me. I will be wearing the boots to work, and I wanted something a tiny bit dressier. I read tons of Zappos reviews (you guys are great sources of info!) and contemplated for days which ones to try next. The Jackie Button is gorgeous and fits beautifully. I hate when boots get slouchy and baggy, especially around the ankles, and these may do that eventually, but they're close enough to what I'm looking for that I will keep them. I know they'll last forever, and will only get more beautiful with age. I wore them for several hours the first day I got them, and at the end of the day my feet were tired from breaking the boots in, but I know that's just part of the breaking in period. It's a walking boot, and it's pretty comfortable. I got the chocolate brown, and it's a gorgeous dark color. I'm either a 9 1/2 or 10 in most shoes, and based on other reviews I went with the 9 1/2. It fits perfectly and will stretch out a little too. The boots will go well with a skirt or dress, or with skinny jeans. I have 14" calves and the boots have a little extra room, just enough so I can fit jeans in them.

I bought these in the cognac and must say that these boots are the best pair I have ever owned. I have athletic calves so felt they were snug but listened to what other reviewers had to say and let them stretch out. They fit perfectly now. The boot is also very comfortable. The leather is soft and beautiful. I will be buying them in black.

The color is awesome and the fit is great. However, they are beginning to slouch which is not the look I was going for. :-( I own them in black and have had that pair longer and they don't seem to be slouching at all. Also, I have several pairs of Frye boots and usually have to order down a half or whole size. These are closer to my true size (7). I have a 6 1/2 in the black and a 7 in the cognac and both fit well.
