Had to return...too small. The boots arrived in a Frye box, unlike the other pair I received a couple of weeks ago. But, they were coated with some kind of white powder that smeared when I tried to wipe it off.?? Also, the shaft was crushed and bent on both boots.??

I'm a huge Fry fan of many years. I loved the look, style and comfort of these Jackie's but was disappointed in the quality, as compared to some of the previous pairs of Fryes that I've owned over the years. The leather wasn't as thick or sturdy as I would have liked and there were areas near the seams that looked unevenly faded and not in a deliberately "distressed" kind of way. (btw. I'm 5'2" with small to medium calves and these fit fine). My search for the perfect all-around black boot continues...

Loved these boots the moment I took them out of the box, but the shaft is way too narrow. I have relatively slender calves, but I could not pull these up. I've never had that problem with any other boot. So sad that I have to send them back.

Beautiful boot, but sadly not for me. Right size but the shaft of boot is too tall. I'm 5'1" 115 lbs and it needed to be an inch shorter. Also it was pretty snug up at the top and I struggled to pull it off. Since it is a pull on boot, it made my ankles look fat. Wish shaft circumference was wider or had some goring.

The shaft of the these boots runs really tight. I am 5'9", 150lbs and they barely fit around my calves. Very cute boots, though. Great color and details. I found a different pair by Frye that fits better.

So many mixed emotions on this boot. Ultimately, I have returned the 10 that was way too big (10 is never too big on me. Ever.) and I'm not reordering. I've been trying on riding boots for 2 years now and have yet to keep a single pair. I have a narrow foot and slim calf and ankle and everything is just too darn baggy. Pros: Gorgeous colors available, fabulous leather (so soft!), the style of the boot in my opinion is great. I'm 5'10" and these suckers hit right below my knee cap which is what I've been searching for. Cons: the price, the 10 felt like a 10 1/2 or 11, the ankle area was so baggy. I just know they will slouch and then permanently stay slouched from not having anything to hold them up. The shaft was so soft, I would like a stiffer, cleaner look. Just too roomy for my leg and I do not feel I am an extremely slender gal. Just can't cough up the money for these. The leather is great quality but the fit for me wouldn't work. My Uggs stand up better than these and they're 5 years old.

I love the style of this boot! I am so sad to return them. I am 5'-8" and wear a size 8 in clothes. I've never had an issue with my calves being too wide for boots, BUT these boots are too tight!! The top 2 inches are where they got tight, besides that they fit well. Total bummer!

These boots are gorgeous, but they were extremely tight in the calf. I never have problems with boots fitting over my calves, but these were very tight. I was disappointed because i loved them, but had to return.

These are beautiful boots. The calf size was perfect for an athletic but not necessarily oversized calf. Unfortunately the heel had a part peel off the first time I wore them so had to return.

The length and leather material of the boot were perfect; however, the toe box was too narrow. My toes felt bunched and I couldn't wait to take the boot off.

I ordered these boots first in a 7.5, and they were too small width wise and so I exchanged them for an 8, but my heel didn't catch and they felt too big. Really love they way they looked but I ended up returning both. :(

Love the look and feel of these boots. Unfortunately, after wearing them for a few months the leather sole of one heel came off, revealing the wooden heel. I noticed after a little while and now the wooden heel on one side is damaged. They are my first pair of Fryes and I'm pretty disappointed in the quality considering the price paid.

I have really skinny calves and these boots would not fit over jeans. I think they must be meant to wear with tights or hose only. Also the heel was a weird fit. The boot fit, however, my heel slipped when walking. I was so disappointed because they are absolutely beautiful.

I'm sad to have to return these boots. I'm 5'2; 125 pounds (athletic build); I do not have large calves by any means - but over jeans they fit super snug in the calf area and VERY large in the ankles. They look amazing in my closet, but ridiculous when I put them on.

I was impatiently awaiting these boots. I decided to take the plunge and buy a nice pair of Frye's, my first pair. After opening the boots, I saw that they had already been worn, scuffed with parts of the leather missing on the area near the sole. I am very disappointed. After trying on an 8 1/2 in a store, I ordered a 9, which were too big; this could be due to the fact that they had been worn before?
