I am sad to have to return these, they are too tight around the calves, it is 14" not 15" in shaft circumference! I am 5'2" and 130 pounds and athletic, very fit and I could not get them past my calves. Everything else was wonderful, soft, great height in the heel, bendable sole, great style, just perfect otherwise. Chocolate brown is really really dark, so make sure that is what you want. The picture is true to its color.

These boots look great! Love the heel height. I got it in black and it can be elegant and casual depending on what you are wearing. The boot is a little big. I am a true size 6 and it felt a little big but I am going to keep the shoes and wear thicker socks rather than having shoes that pinch my toes. They are so comfortable, no need to break them in. I have another pair of Frye boots, the Venessa Slouch and those are much harder and took a while to break in. Get the boots and you won't regret them at all!

These boots are nothing short of a work of art. I bought the cognac color, and they have a slightly Western feel. They do scrunch a bit at the ankle, which I like, but just be warned they don't stand up tall through all-day wear. They feel true to size, maybe a touch snug in the toe, and given the heel they are very comfortable. I run a lot, so I'm always concerned boots won't fit over my muscular calves. These are perfect. I can pull them over jeans, but they're not so big that they look gappy bare-legged. These boots look great over jeans or with dresses. I literally get compliments every time I wear them. This is no cheap boot, in price or quality. If I could afford to, I'd get the same style in more colors.

These are great boots! They fit true to size however narrow at the toe, which was strange because I have notoriously narrow feet. Like really skinny narrow feet. The 7½ was too narrow at the toe. So strange. I am ordering them again in an 8 to see if that is any better.

I have never been disapointed with a pair of Fryes I kept...this is no exception. I did get one half size down. If it wasn't so extravagent, I'd get one in each color. My first pair of Frye with a heel.

I love my new boots! I originally had ordered the Melissa button boots, but found these as the heel gave my 5 1/2 stature a little more of a boost. I am a runner and have very muscular calves. Initially they were snug, but they are now wonderful. I have worn them with straight leg jeans, cords, and leggings and have received tons of compliments! As always, Zappos VIP never lets me down with their prompt delivery and easy returns!

These boots are absolutely beautiful. There was a slight defect on the back of one of the boots (a tiny, smaller than an eraser head piece of leather was peeling up and stained a different color) and the stitching on one boot was not nice as on the other, but I would keep them despite these if it was not for the fact that they are too large in the calves for me. I have 13" calves that I did not measure before ordering. I love the heel height since I have short legs, but they just look a little too swashbuckley on me.

Baggy at the ankle, but otherwise flawless, comfortable, beautiful. My new fave.

Beautiful boot. Very comfortable. Only caveat is that these are too wide to wear under pants (even boot cut jeans) so they are strictly for skirts and over skinny jeans.

These boots are beautiful and the Cognac color is perfect! All of my other boots are flat, but these are surprisingly comfortable despite the heel. I do think they run a half size large, but I had to wear them as soon as they arrived, so I simply wear them with thicker socks!

I love these boot! They bunch up a little at the ankle, which is what I wanted. Zappos is great, they were here one day after I ordered them. I do not know how they do it!

Oh, man. I love these boots. I ordered them in an 8, my normal size and what I ordered last year in the Carman 14L side zip, but they were very snug, even with the thinnest socks. So I ordered them in an 8 1/2 and they are wonderful. I love that they are right below my knee and the black nubuck is so laid back. I was looking for something that wasn't shiny black leather...and these are perfect.

Been stalking these boots for awhile and cringing at the price. But I had a small windfall of funds and I got them. When I opened the box I was greeted by a delicious waft of fresh genuine leather. Love that smell. They seem very well made and they are super comfy - no breaking-in period. I worried that these might be to baggy on my skinny chicken legs but the shaft is actually smaller than I expected and they fit perfectly! But for those with muscular calves and normally proportioned legs these would probably be too tight. I just happen to be a freak of nature in the leg dept. I love the style - simple, chic and very versatile. I've already worn with shorts and skirts this summer but can't wait until fall. They will be amazing over skinny jeans and tights. A classic boot that I will keep forever.

I could probably write a dissertation on Frye's boots. It took 3 styles and 4 pairs to end up with the winning pair, but it was well worth it. These are great. I have narrow calves (13.5") and these fit really well, much better than the Melissa Back Button, which were way too big in the calf. I also tried the Jenna Inside Zip. It fit even better in the calf but the toe box was too round and not very feminine. I normally wear an 8 and had to size down half a size. They were tight at first but within 2 wears, they were perfect. Definitely a great investment. Love them!

These boots are nothing short of gorgeous: I'm completely obsessed with them. The leather is amazing, and they're super-comfy. Well worth the investment as I know that I'll be wearing them for a very long time.

I first purchased these boots in black. I really haven't had high boots in quite a while. The fit of these boots was unbelievable and comfortable. I am only 5 feet tall and most boots are too high at the top. These boots are just the best. When I saw this color I had to buy a second pair and I am so happy that I did. Thank you, Zappos, for carrying FRYE Boots. I just love them!

I was hesitant to pay this much for a pair of boots, but these are definitely the most comfortable leather boots I've owned. These blew my Nine West boots out the water! I'm able to wear these for 9-10 hours a day without issue. I was considering the Melissa button, but I like that these have a bit of a heel. Definitely worth the investment!

Love, love, love these boots. I got the cognac in my regular size and wore them for an entire day right out of the box. They are just gorgeous. and are probably my favorite Fryes yet. I have the natural color Mellisa button, black Logo riding, Brown Harness, Dark brown Jane, and on and on, but these have already become my go-to-boot! The Jackie button is sleek through the foot, with a great height heel, just enough to give an elegant line, without being too much for a lot of walking. The shaft is tall and narrow enough to work with my 13 inch calves; they aren't snug, but not gappy and fit skinny jeans inside. Because they are tall boots they might not be great on short legs. They come right up to my knee and I'm 5'9. Worth every penny--they'll last forever.

I tried these and the short version on in black. I loved the tall height, but found the short height impractical with matchstick and bootcut style pants. I wear a size 10 and have slightly wide feet. There was plenty of width up top, but the foot felt ever so slightly narrow. I wonder if anyone could report if they stretch out like most Fryes? In the end, I returned them for now, but will probably get them eventually. I guess I am thinking ahead to spring and did not think that I needed a third pair of tall Fryes right now! The heel height is extremely comfortable; looks great (especially on size 10 feet) but you do not feel the height as you walk.

Love these boots! They fit well, no need to break them in and are a gorgeous color. I got the dark brown ones in my regular size 6. They were a tad looser than I expected, but they look great.

These boots are gorgeous. They fit beautifully over jeggings or slim jeans, with just a bit of room to spare. I am tall, with long legs, and I like where these hit in relation to my knee. They fit true to size: I got a 9 and it is not necessary for me to wear an extra pair of socks. They are quite tight in the heels, but they are loosening up as I break them in. The hardest part is taking them off: they have no zip so they have to be tugged off, and it can be quite a production. The bottoms are too slick for comfort on rain or snow. I will have the soles replaced eventually. Overall I love them, and I will turn to them more as the weather improves!

Beautiful boot but unfortunately it was way too tight around my calves. I had to struggle to pull them up completely and then struggle again to take them off.

These boots fit well. They are slightly stiff, more than expected. They run true to size. This is a good price for quality boots.
