I really wanted to love these boots and I was so excited to have the heels. They were definitely comfortable and I loved the quality of the leather and the heel height. But they were just too baggy or loose on my small frame. They looked like pirate boots on me so I sadly sent them back.

These are absolutely beautiful boots; I bought them almost the second Zappos had them. However, the circumference measurement of 15" is incorrect; it's close to 14" (and didn't fit me). Footbed felt great, but I'm not looking for these to scrunch, I want them to be knee-high. Back they go. Can't wait for an extended size in these.

I am almost always a size 8, Frye or otherwise, but the 8 was too big. I am sending them back for a 7½. Oh, and for the all the skinny legged, skinny calved ladies out there: No problem whatsoever pulling off or on, and no problem with jeans tucked in. Not bad, but could be even tighter in the calf and around ankle, but alas, this is always the problem for the bony legged ones. Since they look similar to another pair of black heeled boots I have, for this exchange am getting in a flashier color.

These boots are amazing and worth the price. They are high quality leather and can be easily dressed up or down. They are a beautiful staple in my wardrobe and are super comfortable. Love them! For size, I typically wear an 8.5 in heels and 9 everything else. I bought an 8.5 in these boots and they fit perfectly.

These are truly beautiful boots, I got the cognac color which is like a caramel. I ordered a size 9 since that is what I normally wear in boots but these were a little too big and with big feet like mine I'd rather size down than have to wear socks.

I absolutely love these boots. They are comfortable and fit true to size. The leather feels like butter. They are a dream.

Love these boots. Can be worn dressed or casual. Bought the soft bk. Trying to decide on next color. This is my fourth pair of Frye boots. Zappos is the best!

I ordered these in the black pressed nubuck, size, 6, because the black smooth leather has been sold out. The 6 is too small, compared to the 6 in my other Fryes; might be because of the higher heel, which crams my toes into the front of the boot. I was also disappointed with the pressed nubuck. I thought it would have a deep, velvety look but it just looks worn and dull. Guess I prefer the smooth leather with a little sheen. I think I'd be happier with the Melissa Button with the flatter heel, too. These have to go back.

I bought the Frye Jackie Button boots in Cognac Pressed Nubuck. These are beautiful boots. I first ordered an 11. They were too big, literally slipping off my feet. I just received the 10. They are too small. Does that mean the elusive, not-made-by-Frye, size 10½ would be just right? Alas, I am not to know. Frye, along with many other shoe/boot companies, does not make a women's 10½. My chief shoemaker complaint - it is rare to find a 10½, but women with smaller feet all get half size options. It is as if they think going from 10 to 11, skipping the half size, all feet become Hobbit-like and extra wide. Not so! I generally wear a 10½ or sometimes an 11N. And, once in a blue moon a 10 works. That is disappointing. Thanks to Nine West and Naturalizer for making some great shoes and boots in 10½. I wish Frye, with their great quality and high prices, would do the same.

I've been wearing these boots for six weeks and the heel is falling apart. Also a week after I started wearing them one boot started slouching much more than the other. Now I am constantly pulling up on one boot. Very disappointing since this is my third pair of Fryes. I expect much better quality from them especially at this price.

This is my first pair of Frye boots and they did not disappoint. They do wrinkle at the ankles as they are broken in, but are dressy enough to wear with business-casual skirts. The heel is the perfect height. Be aware that these boots fit like cowboy/western boots - they will be snug over the top of the foot (this does not mean they are too small) and loose at the heel. The heel will slide up when walking, which is how they are supposed to be (this does not mean they are too big). Hope this helps.

Nope. This is not my only pair of Frye boots. It is te same size as my others (7 medium). I can't even get my foot in it. I'd say order at least one size larger.

I love this boot. The calf width on the style is a bit tight. I have muscular calves so I can not wear thick pants with these. I am hoping they will stretch out as I continue to wear them. They are just so beautiful and the color is a nice rich brown.

I love the look and feel of these boots! The legs are narrow, so I won’t be able to wear them over jeans. Beautiful boots.

These boots had some scratches in the leather. Not bad but wonder why. Other than that they were true to size and very nice leather.

Beautiful boot but the circumference is barely 14" with zero give. I can get it on over leggings, but they bunch up if I move around with no room to slip back down into the boot. I have to return it, but for those size 9's with a thinner leg this IS a gorgeous boot. Comfortable, great everyday heel height.

These boots are gorgeous!!! The heel is a very comfortable height-for work or for an evening out. Can be worn over or under pant legs-extremely versatile, classy look. Absolutely satisfied with this purchase!

oh boy. If I was looking for a reason to dial back my obsession with Fryes, these boots are not helping the situation. GORGEOUS. I ordered my usual size 10 and the footbed is true to size on the pair I received (though I have other styles in both 9.5 and 10, that fit equally well—so this can vary.) I have skinny calves and the shaft fits me with room to spare when tucked into skinny jeans, but I would definitely say that the shaft runs narrower than other styles (I have two older pairs of Janes.) I would also say that the foot bed is narrow-ish but the heel & ankle runs roomy—I slid these bad boys right on with no resistance getting it around my heel. I'm also 5'7" with a 32-33" inseam, and the shaft on these comes up to about 3" below the center of my kneecap. So definitely taller in the shaft than my other Fryes but works perfectly for me (I actually think they're a more flattering line that way.) They do slouch/crease a bit at the ankle which gives them a slightly more casual look than a rigid riding boot style but the antique black finish is the perfect midpoint for casual and dressier wear alike. Like all Fryes, they're stiff out of the box and will take a few wears to break in but after several hours, no sore spots or rubbing. Winner. Already plotting my next pair.

Love, love, love this boot. I ordered a few other boots hoping to save a bit of money but returned them all. I wore these boots the first day and worked 12 hours and they still felt wonderful. The calf could be tight if you have large calves but I love the tight fit. The fit with the heel makes me look like my legs go on for days. I can't wait till I can splurge on another pair.

These boots are super cute, and stylish but a little narrow if you have a wide foot.
