Love the boots, simply can't get my foot in easily or zip them up. I have the brown in extended calf...those are great. These are made for skinny legs.

very good, buttons come apart sometimes when you wear them. zipper started stiff but loosened over time to smooth out (in a good way)

I was between this boot and the FRYE Women's Anna Mid Pull On-ASV Slouch Boot. I disliked the stiffness of the shaft and felt that it was a bit too tall (just covering my knee, I am 5'3") for my preference. The bottom of the sole has smooth leather, which I found to be slippery (I imagine it would become grippy as it roughs up). This boot has a equestrian feel to it, so if you like that, this may be the boot for you. I ended up with the Anna boot instead.

Always wanted these boots, so was quite upset when I got them. It said circumference was 14", so thought finally a boot for my thin legs. Well in a size 11, the circumference is 16 1/2" and the ankle just had too much space also very slippery soles. The leather was beautiful and a nice high shaft. with much regret I have to return these.

I love Frye boots, i've had a different pair for 10 years. I really wanted a tall dress boot and these were on sale. I took a risk ordering these since i have muscular calves and, bummer, these won't zip up over my calves. I have 15" circumference calves, measure before you buy. My friend has smaller legs so she may get these instead. They are beautiful boots, very sleek and sexy! I'll keep searching...

I am so bummed. :( This is an absolutely beautiful boot, but unfortunately just too narrow in the toe box for me, even in a 9 when clearly an 8.5 would have been a better fit for length; my little toe was rubbed red just from walking around my bedroom. If there was a wide foot option I'd be alllll over this one.

These boots are very attractive and nicely cut. They fit true to size, but are snug and need to be broken in at first. Frye boots always last me forever and are great quality and I'm sure these will be the same.

These are beautiful boots. They fit well, true to size. What I did not like is that the calf is a bit too wide for my leg and would be floppy under jeans, and that a bit of the lighter lining shows on the top edge of the boot. I am still shopping and trying out all the black Fryes until I find the perfect pair.

These boots are beautiful. I purchased them in a 10 and 11. The 10 was a bit short and the 11 was too big, especially in the width. I am 5'9" and slim. The boot shaft was too wide, especially on the 11, even with thick socks. I wish manufacturers would realize that not every one has thick calves. Had to return them.

I absolutely loved these boots. Once I put in an arch support insole. They are incredibly stylish and made with beautiful leather (I would not expect anything less from Frye!) and they can be dressed up or down. I love the look and feel of the brown antique leather. I wish the soles had a little more grip - they are just pure wood, so I am going to have to take them in to get get them slip-proof. They can be dressed up or dressed down. They fit my somewhat muscular calves great, but the zipper can be a little finicky sometimes. I can war thick jeans and socks and still zip these up. I am petite (5'2") and I love where these boots hit my leg - just about two inches under my knee. Overall I am extremely happy with these boots and I hope that they last a long time!

I absolutely loved these boots! However I found one critical design flaw. The inner natural leather colored lining is exposed at the top of the boot. This interrupts a seamless look when wearing all black. Sadly these are going back.

I LOVE this boot! The cognac leather is soft and beautiful, and it is fully lined in leather. I have a high instep so the full-length zipper makes putting them on a breeze. There is plenty of support for walking and they don't feel like they will need breaking-in. I ordered my usual size 11 and found the boots to be a little too big. Unfortunately, few shoe makers make size 10 1/2 so I will need to try a 10. Hoping that works. The reason I gave the boot 4 stars is that the calves were enormous. The description says they are 14" circumference and I was worried that they would be too tight. When the boots arrived, I tried them on right away, over the regular pants I was wearing. No need to pull up the pant legs - the boots went right over them and still flopped around loosely. I got a tape measure and they are 17" circumference. I double-checked to make sure I hadn't accidentally gotten wide calf boots but no, they are marked as regular. So, if you have trouble finding boots to fit a large calf, these are the ones for you!

Very nice boot. The color is a little darker than the photo. I usually wear between a 7.5 and 8. The 8 was roomy for my foot, but too large in the calf and ankle. I returned it for the 7.5 which fit, though not much room in the foot area. I stayed with the smaller size.

Finally a Frye boot I can get my high arch into, but the top of the boot is too wide for my thin calves. If it was an inch narrower, I would have kept them because quality of the boot is great.

The size 6 was too small overall. Size up at least half a size. Also, know that there are two elastic boot pulls inside of the boots. Good quality leather, though - you would expect nothing less from Frye.

Love them but the shaft is too high. I'm 5'3" and it's just an inch to an inch and half too tall. They fit, but they're not flattering. Great leather. Bummed I have to return them.

Beautiful boots! I love the color and style. The circumference is smaller than stated, but will stretch a little after a couple of wears. Had exchanged due to defects, but Zappos has the BEST customer service team! Very accommodating! Will definitely shop and recommend Zappos!

These boots are great, delivered in a timely manner. The fit is good, comfortable for averaged-sized calves. They appear very durable to keep for years. Just one thing, the bottoms of soles could have better traction for slippery winter.

I was not very willing to pay this amount for the boots but decided since they were extremely nice and would last for years it would be worth the money; however, when I got them the zipper on the left boot was malformed and would not zip. For this reason they are going back. I feel that for this amount of money they should be absolutely perfect. I was disappointed. They are very beautiful and the color was very nice...they also fit my true size but I don't wear thick socks. Perhaps with thick socks you should order 1/2 size larger. Just to say also, I have ordered many things from Zappos and I can't find any company with better service. The free shipping to and fro is wonderful. I will order another pair and hope they are perfect.

Very pleased with these boots and am keeping them. Although, I think the zippers are very hard to starting zipping up until they get past the heel. Maybe with time they'll loosen up. They seem to run a little big. I wear an 8.5 or 9 and I purchased these in an 8.5 and they fit like a large size 9. The leather in soft vintage black is beautiful. I'm 5'6" and wish these boots were an inch taller, so they would come closer to my knees.
