These boots are beautiful! I own them in dark brown tumbled. I wear them with skinny jeans right now, but when it gets warmer out I will be wearing them with skirts as well. They feel a little bit narrower than my Campus and Carmen style Frye boots, but they are stretching out nicely.

Let me start by saying I never, ever write a review. These boots are so awesome that I couldn't not write a review. I bought them in black about a month ago and loved them so much, I got them in tan as well. They are very comfortable and I love that they have a sophisticated edginess to them. You won't go wrong buying these boots!

These boots are amazing! The charcoal is a bit more brown but I like it so much more than the dark brown. I can go out in these, leggings, and a sweater for just about anything. I get compliments EVERYWHERE. My boyfriend laughs and says the compliments alone have paid for them. The fit is right on and they are so comfortable. I have serious knee issues and these give me a small heel that I can walk around in all day. The best!

I love these boots - they go with everything :) I usually wear an 8 in boots so I went with a 7 1/2 - since these run large according to reviews. The boots fit perfectly right out of the box. I probably could have gone with a 7 but I'm glad I didn't since I love wearing huge ski socks in the winter. These boots are so comfortable I won't wear anything else on the weekends.

I love these boots. They are not only beautiful and well made but very comfortable. I immediately wore them for several hours and my feet did ache a little towards the end. But now that I've broken them in a little more, they are much better. I also get compliments every time I wear them! For the record, I have slightly wide feet and a highish arch so I sometimes have fit issues but these boots were not a problem. They are a bit pricey but don't let that stop you. They are worth it and if you take care of them, they will last for years.

These boots were purchased for my son's girlfriend. When they came I loved them so much I asked my husband to buy them for me for Christmas! Really beautifully crafted boot that you could wear with everything. I have another pair of Frye boots that are 10 years old and they look great. Style never fades.

It took me a few months of poring over every Frye boot style before I decided on these beauties (in dark brown). I've never owned a pair of boots with heels, so the first couple times I wore these out they were not super comfy. But then they broke in beautifully, molded to my feet and are a joy to wear. I love dancing in them and they keep me warm when I'm biking around DC. I took them to shoe repair right when I bought them to put on a rubber Vibram sole, definitely worth it (since I wear these boots hard.) A quick rub down with a leather cleaner/conditioner every week keeps them rich and chocolate. Since these are darker, I can get away with wearing them with a black coat and jeans. Great boot! Runs very big. Bought 1/2 small. Am having to return and by another 1/2 size smaller. So--I normally wear a 7.5. I am ordering a 6.5.

I thought long and hard before investing in the Jane Strappy boot but they are worth every penny! They are the most comfortable boots from the first moment I put them! These boots are top quality craftsmanship and absolutely gorgeous. I liked the first pair so much I bought another. They will be your go-to boots for years!

First off, I love these boots. They are my 4th pair of Frye boots this season (yes, I have a problem). The color, unfortunately, is not in the grey family - the boot is brown. This bummed me out but I love these boots so much I had to keep them. True to size. Great quality.

This boot is gorgeous! I picked up the tumbled charcoal color, and it's quite dark -- looks sometimes brownish, sometimes blackish, which I hope means I can wear it with impunity regardless of whether I've got black or brown going on elsewhere in the day's outfit. As other reviewers have suggested, this boot seemed to run large. I normally size up to a 7.5 in Frye boots (from my normal 6.5/7 in other shoes) so I can wear fluffy socks, but my feet were swimming in the pair I originally ordered. I love that these boots are pull-on without having tons of extra material clumping up around the ankle. I don't know how they did it but it's perfect! Very graceful, very cool. I am in love.

Let me begin by saying that this is not my first pair of Frye boots. I own three other pairs (Taylor Riding boot, Harlow multi strap, and Dorado riding boot) and while I love all of the this one is by far my favorite! I am a runner, and have athletic calves. So far each one of the boots I purchased from Frye I had my cobbler stretch out on the top a bit to make room for tucking in jeans...this pair is perfect! No stretching needed! I love the heel height which makes them still very wearable for every day but a little less frumpy than a regular flat style. As for the size, I do have to say, Frye run big, and for that reason I usually buy 1/2 size smaller, but after reading these reviews I ended up ordering my usual size 9 and found them to fit perfectly. I could probably squeeze in to my usual Frye size 8 1/2, but I don't think they would be as comfortable. I also should point out that my feet are medium with, not narrow, and not wide. So, here is my advice, order this boot in your regular size, if you would like to be comfortable. If you feel like you have a narrow heel, or a narrow foot, you can go down 1/2 a size. Other than that, the boots are stunning. Bad Ass meets Park Avenue! Enjoy ladies! Oh, did I mention this boot is a must?

Tried this in my normal size of 9, was too big. 8.5 fits and I love the boots. Not totally comfortable but nearly so in that I wouldn't want to walk a lot in them. But they are very nice.

I received these boots today and I love the look of them! They feel a little narrow but they are leather and I expect they will stretch out a little. Unfortunately, the calf is just too narrow for me (5'5", 200lb). They are going back.

I bought this boot knowing it would last me a few good years...just like my last ones. Frye's quality and style lasts through years and trends...and this boot doesn't disappoint.

Beautiful boots as other reviewers have said, but they do run large. I'm normally a 5.5 in shoe sizes but the 5.5 here has a bit of toe room, and my heel does come out a little when I walk. The toe box was a little tight, but I do have slightly wider feet than most people. I have obnoxiously large calves (14" circumference), and I was able to pull them up while wearing colored skinny jeans, although I couldn't get them completely up, it was close enough. Even if you have short legs, the length of the shaft isn't too long because it can just slouch a little at the bottom and still look good like mine do. They're stiff enough to stand on their own but soft enough to slouch a wee bit. I'm in love!

Love this boot the fit is like it was made just for me. I have tried other fry boots and they were to big my heel would slip up and down and my shoe size is a 11 and this boot is just the right size. Love it!

Not my first pair of Frye boots, and certainly not my last! It is a toss-up between this boot and the Frye Melissa Button as to which is my favorite. I bought 3 pairs of Frye Jane Strappy with the intention of returning 1 or 2 pairs once I decided on the most versatile. The suede became part of my daughter's wardrobe, and the black and whiskey reside in my closet. The suede is really cute and definitely has a slouch look (casual cuteness): perfect for the hard to fit muscular legs. The whiskey is a rich deep tan color: beautiful shade and goes with everything (jeans, leggings, dresses and skirts). I always size down a half size with Frye boots so they don't slide on my heel, and keep a shoe stretcher in the toe of the boot (when I'm not wearing them!) to maintain the necessary comfort room for my foot.

This boot fits like a dream! The heel is high enough to add interest without being uncomfortable. It's fun and sassy without trying too hard. My only complaint? I ordered the grey and the color is much more brown based. As they are not that much different in color from another pair of Frye's I am going to return them. But give these a try. They are a great boot!

Love this boot, comfortable and very sexy! Can wear for 8+ hours and still walk! Love Frye boots, have begun a tradition to buy a new paid each fall and have never been disappointed!
