I love these boots. They are comfortable. I can wear them with skinny jeans and skirts/dresses. They are easy to slip on, and can be tightened at top if needed. These are definitely my favorite boots now!

I love these boots! They are cute, stylish and very comfortable! I have a bunion on my left foot and it isn't bothered by these boots. Also, my right foot is either bigger, or the boot is a tad narrow, because sometimes my toes temporarily fall asleep. :/ I also have an ankle that bothers me from a ski fall, but I'm always fine in these boots. Sheesh, I sound like a wreck! Anyhow, I wouldn't let this stop you from buying a pair. They are wonderful and I do plan on getting at least one more pair.

Gorgeous casual boots to go with just about anything. Comfortable, stylish. Straps are adjustable for those with thinner or larger calves (I have extremely thin legs and they work to take in some of that gap). Love these boots! Absolute perfection. I wear a shoe/boot size of 8.5-9 and took a 9.0 in these, so I'd say they are true to size.

Just got these this morning and could not wait to wear them. Wore them to do errands and must have gotten at least 8 compliments. My feet are on the narrow side, so I ordered them 1/2 small, and so glad I did. These are a bit snug on my athletic calves, but should have no problem stretching since the suede is so soft. The color is really a grayish taupe and go with everything. I'm so happy!

I am almost 5'2" and 110 lbs; a size 0 Petite but with athletic calves, I have struggled finding the perfect pair of high boots. When I first put these boots on, it was as if cloudy skies had parted letting the sun shine through. These boots not only are super flattering but are absolutely comfortable. I have worn them over skinny jeans, tights and leggings without suffocating my calves. The straps add a feminine touch to the somewhat rugged look of Frye boots. I hope to get these in black someday soon! Thanks to my parents for giving me these beautiful boots. I know these boots will be a staple to my wardrobe.

Nice style. Slouchy-ish in calf, but narrower in foot bed. I am a 10.5 or 11 on the narrower side; these 10s are perfect in the foot with plenty of room (which makes them feel much larger than a 10) and somewhat narrower in the foot, alleviating over-slippage. The boot comes up to about an inch under my knee. Wide calves would have difficulty with this style, and it is a little loose but slouchy on slim calves. This particular boot isn't a sleek, dressy look- more trendy and casual. Good heel shape and height. A keeper. If they had them in black, I'd order the same boot as well.

These are nice boots, just not worth the price and they seem bigger than the Jane 14 Stitch that I tried yesterday. Again, with my skinny legs they are just too roomy at the top and ankle, even with the capability of cinching. Even tho' I am short, I did not find the 16-inch shaft too high for my leg. The color is a very solid brown, without any of the variations and highlights that make some of the Frye boots so outstandingly gorgeous. These, too, will be returned, and my quest for the perfect Frye boot will continue! Thank you, Zappos, for making this process so easy and stress-free!

I own several pairs of Fryes. This one is the worst ever. Terrible craftsmanship, sewing, fit, style, etc. Until Frye returns to what I'm happy with - no more! Oh, also did not have 'right' and 'left' shape. My calves swam in these. If you have a longer and leaner calf like myself, this really isn't the boot.

Fantastic boots! These are the only pair of Frye that fit well. They are very attractive and a classic style. Definitely worth the big $$

I loved these boots for awhile and finally ordered. They are beautiful boots that are quality, but unfortunately I have an area on my baby toe that many shoes just irritate and these boots hit that spot exactly. Immediately when I put them on, I felt it. Sadly I had to return them. Please note, I do not believe it was the boot fit, just my foot.

Fabulous boots, normally wear a size 9 and had to go with an 8.5. Very comfortable and still room for a thicker sock. Great with jeans and skinny pants and leggings.

I've had these for several months now, and I love them - have gotten tons of compliments on them. Fit: I'm a true size 11, and that's what I got, and they fit perfectly. I'm a runner, with muscular 16 3/4" calves, and there was plenty of room for my calves plus skinny jeans or leggings. (I probably wouldn't be able to wedge a pair of thick sweatpants in there, but I haven't tried, either.) I don't find that my heels or any other part of my foot slide around or feel cramped. (I have normal feet, with no "foot issues".) Feel. I didn't think the leather was "like butter" - these boots always feel fairly stiff when I first put them on, but as they warm up, they become softer and more supple. I was worried that with no zipper, they'd be hard to get on and off, but no - I find them very easy to get on and off. There's a little unobtrusive pull tab to make that easier, but I usually don't need it. Looks. As others have mentioned, the thin straps give them just that little bit of that bad-girl look, as do the heels. They're very flattering on. Performance. They're quite comfortable to walk in, but I'm really tall and normally wear flats, so I can't stride in them as well as I can in shoes with no heels. If you're used to wearing heels, you'll probably do better than I in that respect. I had the same problem some other reviewers did with the thin leather straps starting to curl. I took just the tiniest drops of Superglue and superglued them in place, which worked really well. (Once you adjust the straps where you want them, they're more decorative than anything else, and supergluing them in place didn't affect the comfort or my ability to get them on and off at all.) Overall: These were outside my comfort zone (I usually wear non-sexy flats), but I'm really glad I got them - I get compliments from total strangers. Lots of fun, and flattering!

I love these boots and I love them so much I want a black pair now. I have had these boots for a year and I just can't count the number of compliments I get. Big question - will I buy a pair in black a year later because I just really want them. Ummmmmm, yes, totally!

These are the greatest boots ever. Really. The greatest. Classy, yet spunky. Belts at the top give it that extra kick-ass edge. I got mine in dark brown and they go with absolutely everything from jeans to skirts. My original concern was that because they don't have a zipper, they will be difficult to take off or put on, especially since I'm pregnant. But, that is not an issue. Also, I have fairly thin legs and thin calves. I was afraid that because they slouch a little bit, they would make my calves appear thicker. Nope. They just fit so beautifully.

Purchased these in a 8.5 and a 9 - sometimes I like a little more room around the toes. The 8.5 was big - at least a half-size larger than I needed them to be. I put a gel insole in and it did a little bit, but not enough. Sending these back for a size 8. (Additional notes on sizing: My husband is always a 10.5 and he is sending his back for a size 10. I have been a 8.5 in other Frey shoes (ballet flats) - so maybe order your true size and a half-size under? On the fit from ankle to calf - I have muscular calves, these boots went on without a hassle, but the ankle was really bulky. I used the buckle for the smallest hole, but feel like I could have easily taken another 1-3" in, but then they looked cinched at the ankle. Maybe this is the limitation of a non-zip boot, larger ankles.

Beautiful, stylish, goes with jeans, dress pants, skirts. No zipper, so you need to pull on and off, but it is easy to do after a few wears. When you wear a Frye boot - you look fabulous.

I've had these boots in and out of my cart for more than a y ear. I loved the look, but had a pair of black boots and thought I didn't need another. This week, my old boots started to pull away from the sole, so it was time. These are gorgeous. A little casual, a little dressy. I've had them on all day and they feel great!

Frye boots are not all sized alike and must be tried on, as the measurements don't seem to be always accurate. This boot is high, and snug, without feeling too snug on me. I have the leather version in black. It is super-cute and dressier with the little straps and higher heel than other Frye boots I have.

I am usually a working boot girl (I work on a farm in the middle of nowhere with lots of mud and poop) but Frye boots just got me because they are so beautifully crafted (no I am not paid and I am a regular person). Now, I do not wear these around the farm or poop, only on rare nights out. I bought these thinking that I would only be able to wear it to short events in the city. I will say the first time out with them we had to hike about four miles through the city and the traction was really good and I had no pain. I am a fat footed girl (D width) I always order a size bigger. These boots are amazing, still are and every time I wear them I always get complimented.

Beautiful boots - I have been keeping an eye on these for years and grabbed them the minute they went on sale. They are less comfortable than some of my other Frye boots (more narrow toe bed) but they are super pretty and great for going out.

LOVE! Slightly loose at top of calf, and my calfs aren't extraordinarly skinny- but the slight gap helps with that illusion. I wear them with knee high socks over the skinny jeans so they show over the top of the boot. LOTS OF COMPLIMENTS on the boots- looks great with dresses and jeans. Heel is just the right height for spending a day walking in them.

Love these boots. Fit perfect. They are not super warm but are very comfortable and fit great over or under pants.

These boots are absolutely gorgeous. They stretch so I ordered 1/2 size down and they are perfect.

Overall I wanted to love these boots, but they just did not fit well. I am 5'2" and they went too high on my calfs to look good. I ordered three pairs and the shaft circumference and color varied on all of them, but none fit quite right around my 14" calfs.
