These boots were a gift for my boyfriend for valentines day. He wears a 9.5 or 10 and I thankfully chose a size 11. They were incredibly padded so the size was perfect. We live in New England and the boots definitely helped with shoveling roofs and snow blowing. He couldn't be happier with them!

So I purchased a pair for my husband, my father, my brother, and a 4th pair as a gift. They couldn't be happier. These boots are great for the windy cold city - we live in Chicago, IL. Just order a size bigger for a perfect fit.

These are really nice looking boots but the size is not close. I wear an 11 normally and bought 11½ and they were still tight. Buy, at the very least, one whole size bigger if not a size and half.

Very nice looking boot, looks like it will keep your feet warm and dry. However, on our 2nd return...my husband wears a 9.5, I had gone up to a 10 for him based off reviews, that was too small. Return for 10.5, and he didn't feel a difference between 10 and 10.5. We are returning and getting a different brand.

Here's the deal with these- much like you're accustomed to reading thus far about the size crisis, I was too. I ended up picking these up locally because I didn't want the hassle of returning, etc. I am a true 10.5, through and through. I went and tried on a 12 and was thrilled to take them home. I wore them around the house for about 2 hours and noticed the old heel starting to slip. Long story short, I exchanged them for an 11 and life is good. They'll be a bit snug at first, but they break in! You don't need two pairs of socks with boots like these...

I got these boots for my wife I have a pair and she loved them - very warm and super comfortable. She normally wears a size 6 but since there is so much padding in them I got her a size bigger so if you want these just order a size bigger. Love these boots.

After delaying buying a new pair of boots for several years, I landed on this pair to get me through another Chicago winter. I bought them in December, before the record snow fall for the season began, and before the Polar Vortex. Needless to say, these boots saved me. They are warm and comfortable, perfect for shoveling out your car and they work out well for walking around the city to wait for buses and trains. Another important aspect for me is how they feel on your feet when driving a car, and while they are big, I had no issues in the car. I would definitely recommend if you need a pair of boots to wear consistently throughout the winter.

I purchased these boots, tried them on, and wound up returning them. I just wanted to comment on the sizing, and generally on the boot. I wear a Size 13 Nike shoe and ordered these in a 14, and they were uncomfortably tight. The issue is not the size of the shoe, it s the padding inside the shoe. The padding is extremely thick, but other than the size this seemed like a great boot, definitely order up in size though as they fit very snug.

I would agree with other reviews, get at least a half to full size larger as these are well padded and snug. So far, I have been out in minus 13 weather, snug, warm, and dry. The best part is they do not slip when walking on ice, something I have problems with before. The best winter boots I have ever owned, very well made.

The others reviews were correct in terms of that they run a little smaller than other shoes. I ordered a half size bigger than I normally wear and they were perfect. Super comfy and very warm.

These boots are super comfy and very sticky in the snow! The amount of padding inside these boots requires that you add at least a half size when buying. I went a full size but find that a half size would be sufficient that after breaking them in. The boots look very nice with high quality stitching and seams. I highly recommend them!

I received these boots as a gift. After trying to squeeze into them I realized that they were not going to fit. Contacted customer service, returned them and within 2 days had a new pair next size. Still didn't fit. Returned them & within 2 days had another pair next size, perfect fit!

I ordered these shoes for my husband for Christmas and he loves them. They are nice looking boots and they did great out in the snow. He found them to be very comfortable although he had to order an 11.5 and he usually orders an 10.5. Great boots, I would recommend to others.

I love these waterproof boots. They protected me from mud and rivers. They kept me comfortable on a three hour hike.

Overall the North Face Chilkat II is a great boot, but like many others are saying it runs small. I wear a size 10.5, I thought I could get away with getting a half size bigger, but my toes were crunched in the end of the boot. I returned the boot for a 11.5 which fit much better. I'd recommend the boot to anyone, but if you decide to buy - go up at least a full size.

Like many have said here already, order at LEAST a half size larger than you need. I wear an exact 10 D in most shoes and ordered a 10.5 and they are still a bit snug with socks on. The quality is excellent and they are very comfortable even though they are snug. I am sure the insert will smash down a bit. It is pretty thick and has good arch support. I have not worn them for very long and they are still new so I cannot really comment on rugged use or water repellent features. Would recommend these. 1st purchase with Zappos. Great communications during the whole process and arrived promptly.

It runs very very small. I wear a 11.5 but have a wide foot. I had to get a size 14 in order to have a comfortable wear. I'm glad Zappos had the size because these boots are amazing! the inside made it feel like I'm wearing a slipper! I love these boots. I'm so ready for the snow now.

Great boot, but it is one size smaller than marked. I ordered one half size larger than the size I normally take and had to return them for a full size larger than usual. Zappos has great customer service. The new boots were at my door in 2 days.

I normally wear 8 1/2 in everything. Read the other comments and went a half size larger. Should have gone a full size. They are snug and I will wear them hoping that the lining will pack down a little. Beautiful boot all around. Highly recommend. Great price.

Perfect mid winter boot! Very warm and very comfortable. Size was perfect. I wear 10.5 in all shoes, Nike, Vans, Asics, and work boots, so I got a 10.5 in these even after reading the reviews on here saying they fit small, and they fit like a glove!

Great warm boot but believe the other reviews in regards to ordering a size larger. There is a lot of padding/insulation on the inside of the boot.
