Very frustrating boot. My husband is always a size 11. Once in a great while he needs to go down a half size to a 10.5. In 10 years of marriage I never recall him needing a larger size, yet in this boot he needed to go up a whole size. Having to exchange these twice (first for 11.5, then for the 12 was annoying). Zappos was great with the next day VIP free shipping the first time, but the second time I needed to exchange, I sensed their patience wearing thin as they told me they'd exchange again for free as a "one time courtesy." (I don't blame them though because they have to draw the line somewhere.) However, needing to exchange these twice was not our fault, it's the boot. Definitely runs small. Actually it's just a funny fitting boot altogether because my husband said the 11.5 feels too small and the 12 is a tad too big. I've never known him to be fussy either. It's the boot.

Build Quality: Great. Style: Cool. Durability: Awesome. Well deserving of five stars. Only problem is that the boots felt half a size smaller than marked, so if you plan to buy these boots, you might want to up your size by +0.5 or 1.0, but in all great value for money.

These are great boots for snowshoeing and hiking with microspikes/yaktrax. Sizing is way off thought. Buy at least a size larger than what you normally take. I am between a 9.5 and 10 Men US and I took 11. Boots are also very warm and pretty waterproof so far, even on the suede-ish upper. So far I am very happy with them. Unfortunately this has been a mild winter in the NE, so didn't get to ear them as much as I would like to.

These are a great fit for my high school son. He thinks these are cool boots plus they are warm for his feet. So far, he has only needed them once though we anticipate many uses in our climate.

Bought it for my husband as a Christmas present. Based on the reviews, I got him a half size larger but it still felt small. I would recommend getting it a full size larger than the one you usually wear. Kept his feet very warm, and the boots looked very rugged. A must have for winter.

Bought this for my b/f and he loves them. He wears 10.5 regular shoe size but based on the feedback, I got the size 11 and they fit just fine socks.

I bought these boots for my son that works for a ski resort in NC. He said they are very warm and durable, but he is having a difficult time breaking the toe part in as it is very thick rubber in the front. Once he breaks them in he is sure they are going to be a great winter boot for his type of work, especially for keeping his feet cozy and warm.

These boots are great. They fit snug to your feet and keep them really warm. The work great on and in the snow. I will buy another pair if these ever go bad. They are built to top notch specs. And should last for years and years. Great buy. Get yours before they are gone

Boots look great and feel very warm but I am returning them because they run small and get maybe a 1/2 size larger if purchasing.

These boot are great, but are very snug. The other review said they are snug, so I ordered one size bigger and they are still tight. I may have to send them back and get a larger size. Considering how warm these boots are, they aren't as heavy as some comparable boots. Design is great.

These boots are gorgeous, but run small to size. Returning and getting 1/2 size larger.

This runs a half size small... had to return and get a half size larger. VERY warm!

All things considered, I'm pretty happy with these boots. The two negatives are that my feet start getting cold at about 5 degrees, and if you step in a puddle that is deeper than the rubber base of the boots water will get in. I work in Afghanistan, which is a tough environment for footwear, and other than the 2 issues mentioned these boots have performed well.

I love the look of these boots and they are indeed very warm. But they are also very stiff in the uppers, which is good for support but not as good for comfort. They sort of feel (at least initially) like wearing ski boots.

These are a little snug with the padded insulation around them. So if you like to have a lot of movement in your shoe go up a half size. If you have bigger feet like me, you either have to tough it out or go up a full size.

They aren't kidding when they say this runs small! I ALWAYS wear a size 11, have for years. So, I decided to order this boot in an 11.5 to be safe. It feels tight! Part of the problem I think is that the toe seems to arch upwards, as others have mentioned. Rather than sending boots back and forth, I'm holding on to this one, safe in the box, and have ordered it in a 12, which should be here in a day. Then, ONE of them is going back. I suspect I will keep the 12. Why in the world the North Face can't simply fix what size they call these is beyond me. Makes me really appreciate Zappos' free return policy! The boot seems very well made but of course I haven't worn it outside the bedroom.

I always have trouble finding comfortable boots for one reason. I don't like how most boots dig into my shins. These are extremely comfortable in that respect. The tread is great in snow and ice, and the boot is warm. Good value.

Warm. Perfect for going to hockey games in Minnesota.

These are some pretty sturdy boots! They are stylish, and I've received plenty of compliments on them. They fit kinda snug because of the insulation on the inside; however, they surprisingly don't do much for extreme cold. If you are standing in snow or ice all day, they won't help much for the cold, but they will keep your feet from getting wet. I probably would have went with Timberland instead because of the comfort issue, but for the money, these are overall some really good boots.

The design is awesome; I loved it. My only complaint is that this is so cushioned inside for insulation it feels very tight. I ordered a 1/2 larger size, and it stills feels tight. Maybe if order one size bigger that would be fine.
