These sandals are great for walking long distances. I can walk for hours and not worry about getting pain in my foot. For a few years I used to wear sandals with no arch support. This was not good because I ended up with plantar fascia. It took me a few days to get used to the arch support of this sandal. Now I wear my Orthaheel sandals almost daily. I have two pairs, and I'm considering buying a third.

If you have any kind of foot problem, this sandal is excellent. Very soft on your sole, but excellent arch support, and a good heel cup. Can walk without any problems with these sandals. Will definitely buy more.

I have plantar fascitiis and must wear custom orthotics. However, I found that I could wear the Tide sandals all summer and into fall! It took about two weeks to get used to as far as the sole fit, but the support is absolutely fantastic. I wish all Orthaheel shoes were on these soles. I have wide feet and this shoes fit great.

The Orthaheel Tide is nice and simple black casual flip-flop that can be used with summer dresses or jeans. However, I prefer to use them as house slipper because my feet don't ache as much from the marble tile floors. I like the arch support and cushioning in the heel. The Chaco Flip EcoThread is another more stylish flip-flop that is also comfortable. Overall, I think the Tide is better because it has more cushioning at the foot bed and throughout.

I love these shoes! I first ordered the Gemma slippers and quickly realized they were only good for the winter in the deep south. I ordered the Tide sandals in a 9 since I have wide feet and wear an 8½. The size 9 was pretty good in the footbed, but the straps were way too big, so back they went. I did not have much hope for the 8s fitting, but they did and perfectly. The Orthaheel website recommends ordering half a size smaller, unlike most shoe makers. If you need arch support, these are wonderful! I am shopping for my third pair of Orthaheels.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are the only flip-flops I have found that keep my feet from hurting. I will be purchasing more Orthaheel shoes!

I love shoes, especially flip-flops, but, post plantar fasciitis surgery, many of my favorites shoes are no longer wearable. I looked and looked and found Orthaheels. I ordered three pairs. Once they came, I wore nothing but my new sandals. I even got in trouble for wearing them at work. They were so comfortable! I am a teacher and I am on my feet all day so they were a godsend. I needed an option other than my Doctor Martins and these were beyond perfect. I took my flip-flops on a trip to Palm Springs and accidentally left them. As soon as I realized my mistake, I ordered two more pairs.

I have wide feet so I was worried about these shoes. However, I am happy to report that they fit well. The toe strap took a little breaking in - but no blisters yet.

These are lifesavers! In the past year I developed a bad case of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. I ordered a few pairs of different shoes from Orthaheel and other brands. Out of all of the shoes there are no better shoe than these! First, they look cute, like regular flip-flops. Second, even my doctor who forbid flip-flops liked these shoes. I must warn people that you cannot wear these all day right away. They reccomend wearing them for an hour or two in the first week. During this time I was not too sure, but I am so glad that I stuck with them. By week three, my pain had reduced about 70 percent and my lower back pain was completely gone. By two months it was up to 95 percent. My only complaint is that Orthaheel shoes are not consistent as every single pair is different, some great, some not so much. I now own eight pairs and living in the NE USA means it is hard to wear these flip-flops in the winter, and sadly nothing else is as good for my condition.

I love these flip flops! In a tennis shoe I wear an 11, in these I ordered an 10 and it is a perfect fit. I have trouble with arch pain and wear orthotics in my tennis shoes. I had absolutely no arch pain when I recently wore these on vacation, 7 days straight!

Most awesome shoe. I have been unable to wear any open shoe for many years, but I had read so many positive reviews and so I thought I would try! This shoe is really incredible. I love it so much, that when my new puppy chewed one, I bought another pair and guess what...same song, third verse, coming up! Today, I order another pair! Now, I close the closet door.

Even though this is is one review out of almost 900, this is my story, which is amazing to me. I suffered with painful plantar fasciitis in July. I could hardly walk around the house. I went to the doctor and it slowly got better with stretching and icing. I was so worried because in November we were going to Disney World! An expensive trip to not be able to walk miles for hours each day. Friends at work recommended Orthaheel. This style in particular. For two weeks before the trip I wore these to work. Even when it got cold! They made my feet feel completely better. I was actually able to walk about five miles, at least, each day for a week in Disney World. I had a fabulous vacation with no limitations! I still wear these around the house in the winter when my feet feel tired. Truly, you will be amazed how great your feet feel with these sandals if you have a heel spur! Try them risk free, thanks to Zappos' great return/exchange policy! They fit true to size and take little getting used to!

I love these shoes. I have plantar fasciatis and have problems finding shoes that have good arch support. These fit the bill. Would definitely recommend them. Added bonus, they're cute.

I love these shoes! My podiatrist recommended this brand to me and I couldn't be more pleased. Worth every penny to be able to still wear flip flops!

As always, perfect VIP shipping. These sandals are divine (love the Bronze Metallic). They cling to my feet when walking far better than any regular flip-flop type shoe I already own/wear. I'm sure the high arch support helps as well as having a more snug fit under the straps (those with puffy feet on top could find them too tight). I have wide feet but these medium-only shoes still fit fine. Unlike many, my feet always hurt on top of the midfoot so I'm hoping the support from this shoe helps to reduce the pain like my NB Walking Shoes do. I prefer shoes that have soft, very cushioned insoles, such as my favorite Soft Walk brand shoes. The insole of the Orthaheel sandal where the foot makes contact is a hard surface -- the only negative I have found (for me). If you're on the fence, I recommend giving them a try. Zappos return policy makes it pain-free to ship them back if it doesn't work out.

If you really want to wear sandals but have sore feet, you must try this one. An orthotic slipper that looks great and supports as well! This is the only slipper I wear.

I have worn Orthaheel sandals for a few years now...and love them. was very excited to see Zappos.com had them in many colors, sizes and styles and a great price. they came in a day or two and have loved them like all my others.

I wear a 7.5 so I ordered a size 8 and it was too big. I will re-order it in a 7.

These are the best sandals! I have major problems with my feet and Orthaheel is the only brand of sandals that I can wear!

Thank goodness I live in Texas and can wear these flip flops all year. They are very comfortable and I can clean my entire house and my heel is not killing me. I will be ordering another pair soon.

I highly recommend Orthaheel Tide sandals! I have flat feet and thus my feet pronate severely giving me knee and lower back pain. But Orthaheel Tide sandals have GREATLY reduced my knee and lower back pain. The shoes even got my Podiatrist's stamp of approval. I normally wear 8.5 in regular shoes and 9 in running shoes, so I ordered the 9. But the 9 was too big and my feet flopped around in the shoe. The size 8 fits perfect. Do follow the instructions of only wearing these shoes a few hours the first few days to allow your foot to adapt. I have even recommended this shoe to relatives with foot pronation and knee pain.

Not glam, but very comfortable for problem feet needing arch support. True to the description in every way.

I ordered these because of plantar faciitis and a bursa on my left heel. The two combined were bringing me to tears. I finally bit the bullit and paid the price (I thought "too much for a pair of flip flops). I have a wide foot & was worried about the fit but it was perfect. However, within a couple of days the faciitis was gone. It took a while longer for the pain from the bursa but it was worth the money in the long run. I wore them all summer and still wear them around the house this winter. I have bought a pair of mules for work for the winter. Will definately buy more Orthoheel products

I love Orthaheel, they help me with my balance and my feet do not get tired. I also notice that the arch support makes my feet feel good at the end of the day. I also really like Zappos.

If you want a decent flip flop with a great arch support, comfort, and longevity, this one's for you! Flippy supports your feet much better than the average flippy! I highly recommend these!!
