The sole is comfortable, as promised, but the thong that your toe wraps around is turned the wrong direction and is very uncomfortable. I am returning.

I received this sandal in record time as is usual from awesome Zappos. However, this sandal is awful. I had high hopes that it would gently correct my foot/knee alignment. No so much. I wore them as was instructed, a little at a time. I was in more agony than I ever have been in my foot/knee life ever. After increasing the wear time in tiny increments, it was still a no go. If your feet are even the tiniest on the flat side, you will be hurting. Buy something else. I gave these to my daughter in law who has high arches and loves them. Thinks long and hard before you get these.

The foot bed felt comfortable and fit well but when walking it felt like the heel needed to be elevated. The padded strap wasn't flexible and the toe strap was hard and uncomfortable. These shoes aren't good for walking.

These run VERY large. I packed them for vacation and since I wore them I couldn't return. Taking to Goodwill today. They are at least one size too big.

Very uncomfortable. The strap between the toes was very hard and irritating. Overall shoe hurt my feet and didn't fit my foot right.

This shoe, as I tried it on, felt great on my feet but the strap was HUGE the shoe would not stay on my foot when I walked. If you have thin feet (vs. fat feet) buyer beware.

I do not understand how these sandals are getting 5 star reviews. They are seriously uncomfortable. Even if I did not have problems with my feet, the bumps all over the bottom would be painful. I find it hard to believe that a doctor could design these horrible things. And yes, they are cute -- I have no problem with the design, but that anyone could find these comfortable I find suspicious. Orthaheel does have wonderful slippers and mary jane style shoes that I have bought and like very much.

Straps too wide for a skinny foot!
I was prepared to love these shoes based on reviews from friends & so wanted them to be the magic cure for my plantar fascitis - no such luck. The straps are very wide, the arch was incredibly high. It almost felt like the cut wasn't for a woman.
For a more streamlined shoe & fitted strap, though a bit dressier, try the Orthaheel Fleur Toe.

I wish these would work for me. I wanted to like these shoes based on all of the happy reports. (And I have friends who love them.) I might try again and try a half size smaller. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 and ordered a 7. It felt like trying to walk with a boulder in my shoe. The sole is very hard and that added to my discomfort. I felt so unbalanced that I kept switching out of them and I was only walking in my house. I did try to see if I could build up to a longer wear time but it never happened. I like and have many pairs of FitFlops and I like Oofos as well. I can also wear Merrills and even Earthies which also have a high arch.

This flip flop was very uncomfortable. The footbed has great arch support but is very hard. I am used to the soft yoga mat footbed of the Sanuk flip flop. Mostly I am returning these because after two days of wearing them for a few hours in the house I am starting to develop blisters on the top of my feet where the straps rub. Back to Sanuks for me.

The toe piece is a killer and the foot bed wore on the bottoms of my feet. This is my first orthaheel product and did not leave a good feeling.

This shoe is the worst flip flop I ever bought. It is too roomy so there is too much space between the straps and the foot, so they rub and give you blisters. The straps are made from really unforgiving material, so they don't move with your feet.

I own 5 pairs of Orthheels, and love them, but had to return this one. I almost think that it was mis-manufactured. The toe slot was so far back on the sole bedf that my toes would not go all the way in, and my heels hung over the back about 2". I've never experienced that in a flip-flop. Very sorry that it didn't fit because it looks really nice.

Bought this because, while buying a Spenco thong because I have planter fasciitis, I saw a customer review touting Orthaheel. I ordered both. The Spenco was great. This shoe has left blisters on both feet. I tried 3 times to wear them and each time I got 2 blisters on each foot. The insole is very rough and the very high arch throws your foot to the outside where the blisters happen.

The arch is way too high on these. I got blisters from the straps digging into my feet & my feet are still bearing the scars from the healing blisters.
These are awful and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Wish I could get my money back for them.

This shoe is not for a narrow foot - it was difficult to even keep it on. Also, the shoe does not bend at all, which is something like wearing a weight attached to your foot.

I thought this was going to feel so much better than it does. The back heel section is down low like the old "earth shoes" were years ago. It would be so much better if the back heel area was higher or even just flat rather than having it make your heel go down in the back. That's just my experience. My cousin has them and loves them.

I thought these were going to be very comfortable when I first got them, but instead I got a big blister on the top of my left foot where the strap crosses it. I have been trying to wear them since, but it rubs in the same place and it hurts! They are very comfortable though. Wish I could wear them.

I read all the reviews and hoped these would help my constant hip and lower back pain, but they did not. I couldn't walk in them for more than 5 minutes because the arch support was very uncomfortable for my foot and they actually seemed to hurt my back more. I know it says they take some getting use to but I just couldn't do it. They obviously work for others, but not for me.

Disappointed. I like the look of this sandal and also the amazing arch support. They felt like they would be extremely comfortable. However, the shoe is entirely too narrow. So narrow, in fact that my little toe hangs over the outside edge! For a shoe that is designed to provide premium support for troubled feet, I was disappointed in the fact that this manufacturer pays no mind to appropriate width, nor offers their product in width sizes.
