They are more supportive than other shoes of this type. Though they do have a great arch, this type of shoe still isn't supportive enough for me.

The arch support was nice and what I was looking for; however, the shoe was too wide and heavy.

I ordered these flip flops to see how the arch support would work with my feet. I wore them around the house quite a bit, but I will be returning them. As comfortable as they were, I just can't justify the price in this economy. I certainly have other sandals that I can use if I plan to do a lot of walking. The gold strip is very muted and the rest of the shoe is plain beige.

Orthaheel Tide does prevent pronation, but the sole is quite firm and I prefer more cushioning in a sandal. I wear these, but would probably not recommend them to a friend looking for sandals. These are very expensive for a flip flop type sandal. I much prefer my Spenco flip flops even though they aren't as cute.

I have flat feet so got these for the arch support. My Reefs have somewhat of an arch support but my feet really start hurting after walking around a day. The bottoms also wear out quickly. These have great support and are fairly comfortable, if a bit more bulky than the Reefs. I walked a longer distance for the first time today, 1½ miles, and I got a huge blister on the top of my foot. That was very unfortunate. If Zappos would allow a return even though I wore them, I eill probably going to send them back since I cannot walk long distances in them, which is what I got them for.

I have the wave sandal and loved the fit and support but wanted an all black flip flop. I ordered one pair and had to return it because the thong part caused a sore on both of my feet. They had excess fabric on the thong and it caused irritation. I got a second pair and they were not as comfortable as the first pair I returned and definitely not as comfortable as the wave sandal. However, they did not cause the irritation so I kept them. I wish they made the wave sandal with a black base but unfortunately, if you want the all black, you may have to gamble with manufacturer's defects.

The overall shoe bed was perfect and had great arch support. Unfortunately, the straps felt too loose and did not hold the shoe bed comfortably against my foot. Sadly, these will be returned.

I am not crazy about these. The arch support seems a little too much. I wear an 8 and tried them in the 7, but that was too small. The 8 is okay but seems slightly oversized. They are good looking so I will keep and wear them, but they won't be favorites.

I usually wear a 9 in shoes, but the 9 was huge! So I returned it for the 8. It fit in length, but was very wide. I have normal width feet, but these sandals were falling off they were so wide. It's too bad because I have plantar fascia type pain and I think they would have really helped. I got the Spenco Yumi instead they were true to size, but I don't think they are quite as supportive as the Orthaheel. The Yumis aren't as hard though, they are a little more padded, and seem to be a little more comfortable in that regard.

I wanted these shoes to work for me since I have plantar fasciitis. I have read that Orthaheel and the Tide flip flops were great for that, but I ended up returning these after trying them out for a couple of hours. The sole is very hard and ended up making my foot hurt. The actual shape of the sole felt great, but they were so hard I didn't find them comfortable. Also, the straps were a little loose for me, and when you combine that with the heaviness of the shoes, I felt like I was clomping around and it could have flipped off my feet pretty easily.

These sandals are extremely wide compared to most others marked as medium width. I can tell they do have good arch support, however, so I really wish they were available in a more narrow version for those of us with thinner feet. I normally do not wear narrow sizing, but apparently I require a narrow as far as Orthaheel is concerned.

This sandal offered wonderful arch support and was just what I was looking for. Sadly, I had to return them because the shoe is extremely narrow. I am a M width, and these were not even close!

The thong part of the shoe created a blister on my foot. This is not a good shoe for me. The arch support, however, is excellent.

I like them but they are too wide. Will be returning. Usually size 11. Haven’t researched yet if they come narrower?

These sandals were perfect in their appearance but were incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like there was a large lump under my arch. I have "flat feet" and think that these sandal would probably be great for someone with a high arch. As far as size, I usually wear a 7 1/2 and ordered a 7 and it was perfect.

When I first received these sandals, I loved them. They felt very confortable with great arch support. After wearing them for only two weeks, the straps became loose an over-streched that the shoes feel a full size bigger than it is. Since my foot now swims in it, the support is not there anymore. I have to keep moving my foot back so that the arch is in the right spot. I would not recommend these sandals unless you want to get them a size smaller, wear them tight for a couple of weeks until they strech to be the correct size.

I bought these because of the thousand, mostly positive, reviews. I'm not sure why these are so popular. They hurt my heel. I believe the problem is that if you are a half size (they only come in full sizes) your arch may not line up exactly where it should be, putting strain on your heel. Waste of money, not at all happy with these shoes. In this case, the reviews led me in the wrong direction.

I bought the sandals because I was having trouble with my knee. I thought the arch support might make the knee fell better, which it did. Unfortunately they are so stiff and I'm kind of clumsy in them. Last week the toe of the sandal caught on the rug and I was unable to catch myself. I sprained my foot quite badly and it might possibly be a stress fracture, which doesn't show up in the x-ray immediately. I don't recommend these sandals.

This brand of shoe was recommended based on the footbed being supportive and corrective for folks with plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. Unfortunately the footbed is shaped to correct the position of the foot away from the inner side, which sends the foot sliding to the outer side. With no shoe to confine the foot and my feet just slid off the side of the sandal. The same thing happened with the slippers by Orthaheel. I will still try this brand in a shoe to see if that works better, but I have to say the footbed of the sandal was really hard, so I hope the shoes are not that way too.

I got these from QVC and they really hurt my feet. The arch is really elevated so if you over pronate, it may be too much correction all at once.

I was looking for flip-flops for neighborhood errands and to wear around the house that provided some arch support. But these are not going to work for me. The arch support seems excellent, but the straps are very stiff and started to cut my feet badly. I think even after a break-in period they would continue to hurt and be unwearable, really. I usually wear Reef flip-flops and love them for their comfortable straps but was hoping for something similar with more support. These are going back.

These are cute sandals but the arch support was way too high for me so much that it made it hard to walk. They are going back.

Fine arch support, however: A leaflet that comes from OrthaHeel with these shoes explains they are especially good for correcting "over-pronation" toward the inside. You'd have that condition if your shoe heels on favorite shoes tend to wear down mostly on the inside edge. My feet are somewhat pronated to the outside (outside edge of my shoe heels wears down first) so these flip flops make the condition worse, not better! Feels like I'm walking bowlegged in them. It would be ideal if the special build of the footbed could be explained on the "Item Information" tab. They're definitely not for feet like mine.

Very comfortable except the straps were to big. Had to return due to the fact that the shoe is heavy and loose straps make it extremely hard to keep on your foot.
