These shoes may help some, but for me they aren't the best. Really hurts arch on my feet and ended up giving them away since I wore them a few times because I really wanted them to work for me. Too much arch support for me.

I love flip flops and wanted a more supportive style since I am developing plantar fasciitis. After glowing reviews here I bought these Tide sandals and the Porto III sandals. They had to go back. The brown bronze metallic flops are attractive. But the arch support feels like a tennis ball under your foot and it is very hard and does not give. I have a normal arch and this was too much. After trying these on for about 30-45 minutes while preparing a meal (some time was seated even) I was constantly aware of my feet. A good fitting shoe should make you forget your feet. I then had arch pain and mild sciatica for the next 2 nights that made it hard to sleep from the pain. Also at first my pinky toes felt like they would go off the edge too like the toe box was smaller than normal but that stopped while wearing. Epic fail. The Porto III had lower arches and might have worked but they were HUGE. I am a 9 in almost every shoe occasionally a 9.5 on dressy heels that run small so it's clear this brand varies a LOT in both the shape of the arch support and the size of the shoe. Both went back. Shame!

I'm returning the shoes. I bought two pair: silver and black. The silver reminded me of orthopedic gray--something I equate with a much older style/customer. The arch is quite high--which is good support if you actually have high arches. My foot is relatively flat so these hurt. Perhaps that would be something you would get used to?? The shoes just looked clunky.

As a sufferer of plantar fasciitis, I was looking for a good indoor shoe to wear around the house. My feet flare up so badly that I can't go shoeless for more than a few minutes without the beginnings of inflammation. When I saw these, I thought they would be the answer, especially with so many positive reviews. However, they just did not work for me. For one thing, the fit was never quite right. For my heel to be firmly in the cup, the bridge of my toes had to draw away just a little bit from the toe strap. I don't know if this slight fit issue is responsible for the overall problems I experienced with this shoe, but it's one possibility. Unfortunately, they don't come in half sizes and the difference was so slight that getting the smaller size would have resulted in a too-small fit. The foremost reason these flip flops just didn't work for me was the heel pain that resulted in wearing them. When I walked, the shoe (particularly the right one) had a tendency of shifting a bit so that my foot was right at or extended past the left edge at the heel area. Just wearing them for 15 minutes around the house had my heel throbbing when I finally sat down. I will be returning them.

Felt comfy, but, not as comfortable as some other Orthaheels I have owned (like the Talia). This one has GREAT arch support, as I expected, but the shoe really did "SLAP" every time you step. It didn't feels secure, in terms of staying on, despite it being a little tight. It seems this shoe needs a back strap to complete it. I like flip flops that stay on and don't make that annoying slap sound. Therefore, I'm returning.

I just recieved these last night and sadly going back today. I too am a seasoned flip flop wearer. The piece between the toes did start to hurt a little after wearing them for ten minutes. However, the biggest problem is there is too much space between the foot bed and the top of what goes between your toes. Would be great for a person with a "thicker" type foot. I am an average size foot. The foot bed was great! Also I wear an 8.5 so did go up to a 9. the length was perfect too. I have the ortho slippers and the expensive leather clogs. So, I am a "seasoned" customer. I was never so happy to put the slippers back on! Your foot is just very loose when trying to walk in these. It could have been just this pair. I won't take a chance of wasting my time ordering another of the same. Will order a sandel that does not go between the toes and has adjustable straps. I can not live without these types of shoes! Have a new home and alot of tile. My knees were killing me. When I switched to the slippers at first and then to the clogs. Knee pain gone for good!!

Ordered these based on all of the glowing reviews to help with foot pain. Tried them for several weeks, but can't wear them for very long as my arches start aching. There is just too much arch support for my foot, and I don't over-pronate enough for the amount of correction in these shoes. The material of the shoes is so hard they are painful for me to wear. The between-the-toes material didn't bother me like it does some people. I did like that they ran wide - I normally order wide width but these fit well. The color was a very dull gray, not "pewter metallic", and they were pretty manly-looking, but I could have lived with that. Probably for the right foot issues these would be helpful to wear, but they are not for me.

I like these flip flops which align your arch and gives good arch support. The problem is that the material of the sandal is hard on the feet; my feet feel sore after wearing them for a couple of hours.

Beware...these are a dark grey and do not look like the color pictured! Also, tried them in both a 9 & an 8. The 9's straps were way too loose & I don't have a narrow foot, they feel sloppy and slosh on my feet. The 8's were too short in length but the straps (thong) was just right. They really need to offer a half size!

These uni-sex sandals are sized for larger, wider male feet. They may work for women with very wide feet, but not for me. The heel cup to prevent pronating and arch support seem very well designed. I will try another style.

I bought these b/c my podiatrist recommended. And all of the positive reviews. Unfortunately they didn't work. They were just to loose. My foot was doing all the work struggling to stay in the shoe. I need shoe that holds heel better.

This was a comfortable sandal at first. I bought these because I had a very bad right ankle. My right foot is fine but they seemed to throw my left knee out of whack and now I can't wear them. Since I wore them for a month before this problem popped up, they probably cannot be returned.

Huge disappointment! With so many raves for this shoe, I thought it was worth a try, even though I loathe having a strap between my toes. I have a pair of Orthaheel Portos that I love, because they really do give me relief from plantar fasciitis. That's what I was hoping for in the Tide. The top part is loose and my foot doesn't feel secure in it. The sole is very hard, even harder, perhaps than the Porto. And, the shoe looks sort of like a freehand drawing around my foot, like my foot was traced but the shoe is too large and not shaped to my foot. It is heavy, and just feels lumbering. Back it goes. The blue color is a pretty periwinkle.

I didn't like the hard sole of this sandal. My feet would throb after a short while of wearing them. These sandals were recommended for those with planters fasciitis. Having this condition, I prefer a very cushiony sole which this does not provide.

So disappointed! My high arches love Danskos, so I expected to equally love the hard arch support of these. Unfortunately, that's the only part of these shoes I love. The fabric band is tight and made from rough fabric, the toe post is also rough and far too bulky, and while the arch and heel hit me perfectly the toe area is easily an inch too long (I'm a size 5/6 and ordered a 5). Perhaps their sizing gains accuracy in larger sizes but if you're a 5 don't bother, they fit like clown shoes. Back they go (thank you Zappos!) and my search for thongs w/arch support continues.

Cute shoe but the thong between the toes is very stiff and uncomfortable. Wish they would have worked. Zappos service is the best!

Very good if you need arch support. I have wide feet, and the strap is a little tight. I think these are very expensive for what it utimately a pair of flip-flops.

I bought this flip flop based on all the 5 star reviews. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. These are the most uncomfortable things I've ever had to endure. The arch is high - too high. And the footbed is hard as a rock. My feet absolutely ache if I have to walk any kind of distance in these. I'm going back to Merrells. Don't waste your money here.

The piece between the toes is so tight and uncomfortable. I wear Birkenstock and orthotics with excellent arch support, but these sandals were so uncomfortable in arch and they felt like I had a rock in my heel. Apparently, I do not overpronate enough for these, or my arches do not need that much support. Glad to read they have helped so many other women, but definitely not right sandal for me.

These are cute shoes with excellent arch support, but they run both small and narrow. Half sizes should size up and people with wide feet should not order. I wear a 6.5 and ordered the 7, which was fine lengthwise. However, my little toe didn't make it on to the footbed. Too bad, since the style/color (pewter) was nice. Wish they came in wide.

Terribly uncomfortable shoe. The arch was way too high, the shoe itself was too heavy. I wore it a handful of times before giving up on despair and donating it to goodwill. Would not recommend. A disappointing buy.

The arch was so high it made my feet sore. Not to mention the rough shoe bed made the bottoms of my feet raw, and all after only 10 minutes. I am returning them. I do say though, that I got them very quickly, so I am ordering something else.
