I have very high arches which was causing pain in the ball of my foot. I couldn't bear the thought of giving up flip flops forever in favor of arch support, so I gave these Tides a try. The arch support is fantastic; however, if you don't need aggressive arch support these may seem a bit hard and inflexible. For me it was just what I needed. I use Superfeet green orthotic inserts in my shoes and the Tide's arch support is just as good, if not better. I wear a size 9 and generally don't buy wide shoes, how my feet are on the wider side. The Tide size 9s fit perfectly.

These are great flip flops because they are flexible and supportive. I need arch support for my pronation issue/bad knees, etc! They provide very good arch support. These flip flops run a little big (but not a full half size too big) and it took 1 day to get used to them. The fact that the brown color rubs off onto my feet is a con but doesn't stop me from wearing them. They aren't bad looking either.

I absolutely love this sandals! I have plantar fasciitis and cannot wear most shoes without foot pain. I took these on vacation and wore them for 3 straight days without any pain. I am going to buy them in another color!

I haven't worn these yet, but I have worn the Orthaheel tennis shoes. I wear them everyday. My foot pain has decreased slightly. I like them better than my expensive orthotics from my podiatrist. Can't wait to try these flip flops-I just need some warmer weather!

I've worn custom orthotics from my podiatrist for two years, rarely being upright without them in my shoes, even at home. The past couple summers I really missed padding around the house in flip flops and am just thrilled to have found Orthaheel. They feel just as good as my custom orthotics! I wear an 8 1/2 medium in shoes, but ordered an 8 in these knowing that the arch support lifts your foot enough to go down a half size. If you have never worn orthotics, they will feel weird, but give yourself a few days to get used to them. I can't wait to order some sandals next!

Order a full size lower than you "normally" wear. I wear a 9 & when my order arrived, the band across my foot was much too loose. Zappos was wonderful (as usual) & the return was quick & easy. The size 8's are perfect! I wear them at home & out & about. They are a touch heavier than thin foam flippies, but after wearing them for a bit, I no longer noticed. I have worn these a significant amount & there is a noticeable difference in the comfort of my feet & knees. The quality hasn't degraded, nor does it look shabby yet. BUY A PAIR & see for yourself!

A cute supportive sandal Wow. I live in flips in the summer but I need support for my high arches. Finally... comfort, cuteness, and a flip flop. Love Orthaheel!

GREAT sandal! The color was a little darker than I expected, but it is fine! The strap part fits a little looser [as several other reviewers have noted], but once the heat and humidity arrives, the extra room will make this comfy sandal even better! I take a 10W (Orthaheel does not make wide widths) and this fits perfectly! Thanks Zappos for GREAT service as always!

Great arch support! These flip flops correct my pronation (flat feet) so I can wear these all spring and summer without having to worry that I'm not wearing my prescribed orthotics. Love them. Important: the manufacturer advises you should go down a size if you wear half sizes. I found this to be true.

Excellent sandal for giving support in the arch. I normally wear custom orthotics, but like to wear sandals in the warm weather. This fits the bill....gives me enough support and yet is stylish. I will be ordering more pairs in different colors!

Unfortunately these were a bit too small; I ordered a 6 after trying on my mom's pair (color red) which was a 6. The sizing between the black 6 and the red 6 was inconsistent. Luckily my mom's feet are a smidge smaller than mine so we just switched. Otherwise I could have used Zappos' awesome free returns policy to size up. Now that I have my mom's pair I must say that this slipper has greatly reduced my foot pain (I have very poor arches). My ratings are given assuming the correct size.

I Loved the shoe and am returning for a smaller size as it ran large. I wear a 9 1/2 and usually a half size larger. In this case I should have order a half size smaller. Looking forward to receiving the size 9.

If you have plantar fasciitis and are looking to still wear flip flop type shoes in the summer...the Orthaheel brand is for you. I have several different styles and ever since I started wearing them as my summer shoe...no pain! I like this pair because it is a tiny bit "dressier" for a flip flop. Love the brand!

In just two days my foot is feeling better from heel pain associated with planters fasciitis. This sandal accomodates my wide foot and high arch. I can feelthe arch of the sandal on the arch of my foot. Is fine for my casual desert location and I hope other Orthaheel shoes fit as well.

This is my third pair of Orthaheels, I have had the yellow and green version of this same style shoe for two years and I love them. They have helped my Achilles tendonitis so much (I have it in both Achilles tendons). I ordered this black pair so it will be less conspicuous when I go out. I think I ordered size 8 last time as I recall them being tight but loosened up pretty quickly. I ordered 9 this time because I could not remember if I had ordered 8 or 9 and wanted to be safe, they are bigger (looser) but fit fine.

It's a basic black flip-flop, but with GOOD arch support and all-day wearability. Go up a half size if you're inbetween. I *live* in these during the summer. I have high arches, so they are comfortable, keep my back from aching and generally have staying power. I find regular run-of-the-mill flip flops making my feet and back hurt.

I live in flops & I bought these because I have over-pronation & Mortons Neuroma. I wear size 10 in a regular shoe and ordered a 9 in these. The orthotic sole is great for me. They are harder than Montrail Molokai's and not initially as comfortable; however, the Molokai's cause pain under the metatarsals after awhile. The strap needs to be broken in a bit but that didn't take long. I can wear these all day without pain and no over-pronation which means less back pain as well.

These are my very first pair of Orthaheel shoes. Thank goodness I found them. My doctor told me I would never be able to wear sandals or flip flops again. He was so wrong! The arch support is very stiff and high, but it is exactly what I needed for my bone spurs (plantar fasciitis). It took me about 3 weeks to get used to them. Initially my feet were so sore after a few hours, but now they are happy and pain free. These sandals really do realign your feet and ankles. I am a 9.25 so I can wear a 9 or 9.5 depending on the shoe. The size 9 fit just fine. These shoes are really for pool side; they seem to be all vinyl/rubber and water proof. I look forward to trying the more flirty sandals and slippers, as I am now a convert! I no longer have to suffer from the pain of very flat, flat feet.

Wow! Just got these and love. I have high arches, and I need a lot of support, or I "over-pronate" - as the podiatrist told me - and as a result my foot will get puffy around the arch area - not pretty in the summer! These flip flops look like "regular" flip flops, they do not look orthopedic, have great support. I got them in black and white - will buy a brown or a blue as well - will wear all summer!

Love this flip flop. I got a size 10 and they fit perfectly. My normal size for sandals is 10 1/2 and for sneakers is 11. They have a great arch and over-pronation support. I now have to wear orthotics for support to prevent pain and was worried since I have lived in flip flops my entire life that I would be stuck in closed shoes all summer. Thank goodness for orthaheel Tide. Zappos got the order to me in three days. Awesome!

LOVE this shoe! I am a total flip flop girl! I would wear them year round if I could but after my last pregnancy I got plantar fasciitis and my beloved flip flops (which offer virtually no support) became the enemy! BUT... not true with these! They are so comfy! and offer a very good amount of support especially in the arch which made this flip flop girl VERY HAPPY! I will definitely be buying more shoes from Orthaheel! :)

I felt a bit guilty spending so much money on what is essentially a flip flop, but it was so worth it! While my friends can go to any random store and buy flip flops for a couple bucks, I just can't do that without my flat overpronating feet paying the price. These shoes were well worth the money for me with my foot issues to be able to wear comfy easy slip on sandals all summer.

Great arch support. I wish Orthaheel would use their Tide mold on all their sandals. The Tides definitely have best arch support and are consistent on their sizing. When I purchase other styles of Orthaheel...sizes are always off and not as much arch support. I don't know why they change the foot mold having so many different sizes/arch support on their various thongs-flip flops, sandals, shoes. They should all be the same fit with only difference being the style. Even the Orthaheel "insert" doesn't have much arch support like these Tides do. I wear size 10 in regular shoes but a size 9 in these Tides. I would love to see the Tide foot mold used with other Orthaheel shoes, sandals, etc. Consistency in size and arch support would so nice.
