I've been trying to break these in, and they just aren't comfortable. They run narrow, and don't have much support. Very disappointed because they are a cute shoe.

Worn for two weeks almost daily and the stitching at the toe of the left shoe started to unravel. The white rubber also started to peel on both shoes. In addition, the finish of the shoe started to wear off. I walk a lot, but still would expect shoes this expensive to do better. Comfort was very good, wish they would have held up better.

These are such cute shoes. I loved the silver color, and I thought it would look great with capris or rolled up jeans. However, these shoes have zero arch support. I do not think that I would be comfortable walking for very long in these. I tried to add an arch support pad by taking the pad out, but it just makes the shoe feel uncomfortable.

I tried to make these work. I like the style and was told they were incredibly comfortable, but after a dozen tries spread over time, and most recently a repeat of huge blisters on my heels, I am giving up. Sad to have to return them. Points for style, but none for comfort and price.

The soles wear out quickly and cannot be repaired; shoelaces break quickly; stitching on the front of the shoe where the rubber joins it comes loose and on two pairs the stitching gave way on the actual shoe; these shoes are now made in Bulgaria and the quality has fallen off!

This is such a cute a shoe and initially felt really comfortable, BUT after a day of wear it ripped up my heels. I have narrow heals but usually do ok with lace ups. Very disappointing.

I was looking for a good, comfortable, casual shoe that looked nicer than a running shoe. I liked the style of this shoe, but it was very uncomfortable. It felt both smaller and narrower than marked, and the seaming was directly over the area where I've unfortunately developed bunions. I previously thought this would be a great choice because it had removable insoles, which would make room for my custom orthotics, however, I ordered several different shoes to try, and I much preferred the Dansko Hillary and the Mephisto Laser Perfore to this shoe. Both were way more comfortable.

I returned these. One of the shoes in the pair that I received had a very rough (defective) interior seam that rubbed against my big toe. I found the styling a bit clunky, as well: they look too much like old-fashioned Keds. On top of all that, I was annoyed that Zappos sent me a pair of shoes that had obviously been tried out and returned a few times, as evidenced by the wrinkles across the top of the shoes and the apparent polishing that had been done to spruce them up. I did like the red color way, which is a clear, cool, lipstick red with no orange in it. But overall, these shoes were a miss.

I bought this shoe, as I suspect many others will/did, because it's a grown-up version of a Converse sneaker. It scores high on the cute front; this is a shoe that looks great with short skirts, casual dresses, shorts, and skinny jeans. However, it about killed me. It has no arch support and no cushioning. None at all. So if you have young, healthy feet and need nothing between you and the pavement, buy away. I had to throw these out because every time I wore them I was uncomfortable and then suffered terrible Achilles pain on my next run. I'll also note that the upper scuffed quickly and some stitching came loose on the side, making it not durable enough to justify the price. My advice is to skip this one.

I bought these shoes for an upcoming UK trip where I know I'll be doing a lot of walking. The style is beautiful and versatile. I planned to wear it with jeans, crops and shirts. I ordered my regular size but, sadly, the shoe was tight all over my foot. There was enough room in the toe box but across the middle of my foot, I felt like the laces were stretching to contain it. Back they go. ;(

The first time I wore these I ended up with the worst blisters that I have ever had. I was out and ended buying new shoes and switching to them. I have never had a problems with Joseph Seibel shoes so I am very disappointed. I am now trying to wear them around the house and then hoping that they break in a little.

So disappointed in these shoes. I have several pair of Josef Seibel shoes that are very comfortable, but these are not. Tight in the toes and loose in the heel.

Cute and orthotic friendly but sadly the stitching across the toe box was really uncomfortable. I had to send these back and was hoping these would replace a comfortable pair of similar Josef Seibel's that I have worn-out.

The shoes are lightweight, and very attractive. They are stylish, and for casual wear. I've worn twice briefly, with a blister on my right heel as a result. I would like to return these shoes, as I don't anticipate wearing again.

These are much lighter than pictured. They look cute on, but the fit is so weird, with a gap around the ankle that you can't tighten with the laces. Returning them.

I have several pairs of these but warn that the photo of the Imola Grigio color is very distorted. The photo shows an expresso color but the actual color is a warm grey. It's not ugly but also not what I was looking for.

Super-cute. Many compliments. But for "European comfort shoes," they are a little skimpy on the padding, and arch support is minimal (I have very high arches, so padding and support are really important). Most important, I wish they were super-well-made. I have worn my new shoes exactly three times and the sole has started separating from the upper at the ball of my foot. These are not cheap shoes, people. That's totally not acceptable. I gave 1 star for overall, since there's no option for rating quality

If you want a cute red shoe for wearing while you stand still or walk no further than to and from your car, this might work. Otherwise, don't spend the money. It runs very narrow and one of the seams was so lumpy that the shoes were unwearable. Had to return it.

These shoes are cute, but that is about all I can say to recommend them. The fit is supposed to be close fitting, the toe box is adequate, the leather is nice. The wafer thin, non-arch supporting (and also non-padded) insole is removable, but when I tried to put my supporting insoles in, it just caused my foot to slip out of the shoe due to its low profile. If all you are looking for is cute - this is your shoe. Don't expect to be able to walk a distance in these shoes without pain. I chose the Ecco chase instead as they actually have arch support and padding on the insole.

I have been trying to wear my new shoes for the last month, but they are the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. They are stiff and the back of the shoe digs into my heel. Most unlike any Josef Seibel shoe I've bought in the past.

I had to return these shoes because they were very uncomfortable. There is a bump in the bottom, just under the ball of the feet, and zero arch support in the back. They pinched all over even though I have very narrow feet, and were too high at the back. The color on the website looked a lot darker than on the actual shoe. I was very disappointed considering they are so expensive.

I love the look of this shoe but it stops there. The shoe truly runs too small and it's not comfortable to wear. It's a shame because I had originally wanted several colors in this style because they're so cute. I just can' wear them.

I'm sorry I didn't send these back - had the notion I could "break them in." So far no luck. They are too tight across the toes and the "arch support" seems to go right under the ball of the foot. They seemed to me to be cheaply made though they aren't cheap. I thought they were kind of cute but that feeling wore off as they continue to be uncomfortable.

When I opened the Zappos box I was immediately disappointed and suspicious. The shoes were not in a Josef Seibel box and there was not a size marked on the outside of the plain brown box. Plus, I could not read the size on the underside of the tongue. I have bought and loved at least 6 pairs of Josef Seibel shoes and they have all fit very well. I could not even get my foot all the way into the toe area of these because the height across the toe box was so shallow. Looking at the soles, the shoes were wide enough but the actual space to shove your foot into was not there. Are they fake?
