Josef Seibel is one of my favorites in the past but they have not processsed with up to date styles. I was disappointed with this shoe. It was very tight and had an uncomfortable hump in the bed of the shoe. I put them on and took right back off to box and send back. The read is too shiny for my taste.

I should have returned for a larger size

These are cute but very narrow and tight - not good for normal sized feet or high arches. I wish they came in "wide", I would try that.

These are adorable in person even if they look like bowling shoes. I’m between sizes in these and both were extremely uncomfortable. I am usually always size 9.5 (9s to short, 10s slip on my heel.) I bought red size 40 and black size 41. Upper leather is stiff especially on back of heel. Also the sole is stiff, not flexible like I thought it would be. If the leather was softer, I probably would have kept the size 40 and had them stretched. Red color or size differences made my feet look smaller, always a plus when you have long feet.

So cute but REALLY narrow. My feet are on the wide side but not so wide that I have ever needed to buy a pair of shoes that are W. In fact anytime I’ve tried on W shoes they’re way too wide. Anyway, these shoes are fine in the length but super tight and uncomfortable in the width. I will be returning. I have other shoes made by Josef Seible and I love them so thought these would work.

Very cute, but runs quite small, and was too narrow even for my dress shoes orthotics! Color is lighter, and prettier, in my opinion, than the picture. Sad to send them back, but they just don't work.

I love the look of these shoes and was really excited to get them because of the reviews saying they are comfortable. And they are. Except for the back of my shoes cuts into my heel really badly. If I wear them for more than a few minutes I always regret it. Even wearing moleskin on my heel isn't enough. I have had them for several months and keep hoping I just have to break them in, but sadly, so far things have not improved.

great looking and well built, but FAR too narrow. Went with the Ecco Soft VII instead.

Color discrepancy alert: If you are looking for the rich navy and deep brown shown in the pictures of Imola Denim and Gringo Leather, the actual colors are very different. Both are very watered down, unrecognizable versions of colors shown. Decent shoes, but those colors are way off the mark.

I ordered these shoes in preparation for a trip overseas that would require a lot of walking. I was hoping to find a shoe that I could wear with capris or jeans and wouldn't make me look like a tourist... These are true to length (I wear an 8.5 and ordered the 40), but they are quite wide--even with the laces cinched up. I found them to be lightly padded with very little arch support--I doubt they would cushion against cobblestones as much as I would have hoped but I do think an orthotic would fit inside. The color (Platin Metallic) was quite dark--not silvery like they are in the picture but almost a slate metallic gray. I returned them.

These did not work for me. The style was just what I was looking for; however, the shoes had very little arch support. I had some Joseph Seibel shoes in the 90's that had excellent arch support, which is why I chose this brand again. These would require expensive inserts, so unfortunately they have to go back.

Not my first choice, but attractive design similar to Frye Betty Low Lace. My size 10 has no half-size option, so ordered 11. Does not feel as straight-line narrow as Betty, but does feel more rigid. Heel fits well. Insertion of Birkenstock Blue Footbed felt superfluous. Cheap laces. Texturized gum rubber sole thins on both R and L shoes at inside heel so that brownish color fades to whitish. Surely this could not wear well. Returning.

I wanted to love these so badly...but alas, I found them hard, stiff & overly snug though properly sized. Maybe I should have kept them and "broken" them in, but I prefer a sneaker that is comfy as soon as i put it on.

I have had these for 6 months now and wore them traveling all through Europe this summer. Comfortable? Actually, no! But cute and I bought them assuming they would be comfortable and was kind of stuck with them once I had packed them. I kept thinking they would "break in," but it hasn't really happened. They definitely run small and narrow and sadly no amount of wearing them is changing that.

They look great but I am usually a perfect size 7.5 and these were too tight. I thought wearing them would loosen them up. Nope. Order a half size up I think.

Super cute but super not comfy. I kept hoping they'd break in or widen. I have slightly wide toe box, normal otherwise and this shoe was not at all comfortable. Ican wear one day at most, just because they are cute. I am not heavy or wide, normal body so I think my review is pretty standard. I do find Nike's toe box too narrow if that helps.

I have bought quite a few Josef Seibel sandals and these were the first time I've purchased a shoe from them. As many other reviews have stated they are really comfy but tend to fit a bit small on the length side, width is fine. I would definitely buy another pair but I'd go up a size next time.

I really wanted to love these, as I have several pairs of Seibel shoes. These had no support, and my feet wanted to roll inwards. Sadly I will be returning these.

The most uncomfortable pair of tennis style shoes I have ever purchased. A shame, since I love the retro Converse style. I could walk farther in cheap imitation Converse than I can walk in these. I did not buy them at Zappos but I dislike them so much I'm reviewing them here. Guaranteed blisters, even with good socks. Not worth the money.

I really wanted to like these shoes because they are really cute. I did not have enough cushion beneath the ball of my foot. It felt like the shoe ended midway and there was not much under the ball of my foot. After wearing them in the house one evening, my feet hurt. I wanted to find comfortable shoes to wear in Italy on vacation. Sent these back and bought Merrell Mimosa. Much better fit for me.

Shoes are too stiff and not comfortable. Also, I'm a true medium and they run narrow. Returning.

The shoes looked terrific. However, they were much narrower than I expected and felt pretty tight. Given that they were partially leather, I thought there was a chance they would stretch out, but at that price there was no way I could take the risk. They got returned.

Nice looking, feminine leather sport shoe, but not deep enough for an orthotic. Also, no feel of any arch support.

Look cheaply made and didn't look reliable.

I'm thinking maybe this is a handmade shoe & quality control needs to do it's job a tad bit better. That being said I have a horrible foot to fit--so it could be my foot. I usually wear 81/2-9 American. I ordered the 40 in this shoe. It swallowed me. I ordered the 39--too short, but the width felt better & the smaller size just looked better made. As one review said it felt stiff--but in a good way--like support. The arch support wasn't too good either. Really cute shoe. If you don't have many problems with your feet you will like this.
