Very comfortable, true to size, but not as much arch support as I hoped. Quality shoe.

Based on reviews, I expected the sole to be stiff but was surprised how stiff the leather is. The heel in particular hit in a weird spot on me and was uncomfortable. I typically always size 9 1/2 except in athletic shoes which are 10s. 9s always too short and 10s too wide in the heel. I bought these is red size 40 and black size 41. 41 definitely fit better than the 40, however, red size 40 made my feet look much smaller than black 41. Not sure if this is size or color that makes it look this way. I will be returning both of these but may reorder red in size 41 as they are cute and will probably break in. Note that my husband says they look like bowling shoes.

This is my fourth pairs of this style of shoe. All others have been soft and comfortable. This particular shoe is very stiff and the insole seems hard. I have enjoyed all the others I purchased and will try another one again. They are casual, without looking like an athletic shoe.

I love the way these look. But, they do feel narrow, and I have narrow feet. Leather stretches, though, so should be ok. They are super stylish and look great. Other concerns, though, the stiff back hurts the back of my foot,not sure how long it will take to soften. Also, the soles are pretty thin, not a lot of padding on the balls of your feet.

Too narrow, for me, and not enough support, for me. But if you have less-demanding feet and you are looking for a retro sneaker that's not trying too hard, this one is sweet.

I found these shoes to run small. I wear a 9.5 but the size 40 was too short. I'm trying the 41 and hope they fit better.

This is my second pair of these shoes, and I bought the same size, but so far, they are not nearly as comfortable. I have only worn them a few times, but I have not walked very far, and have blisters on my feet. They feel narrower. Wary but hoping they will break in. I don't remember any break in time with my previous pair

So cute - so badly sized. I wear a US 8 and (based on the reviews I read here) bought a size 40. Too big. When I slid my foot in and moved my toe all the way into the toe box, I had at least 1/2" of space behind my heel. I returned those and got a size 39 - too small! My big toe hits the end of the shoe (and, weirdly, the side of the toe box too.) I love the look of these shoes, but the sizing does not work for me.

I dislike the look of most athletic shoes and was happy to find this European-style sneaker. They are comfy and cute, and fit the bill well enough for city walking. However, compared to a pair of New Balance sneakers I bought recently, the Seibels just don't come close in terms of melting comfort and all-day wearability. Wearing the NBs is like walking on clouds; whereas these have less cushioning and less arch support, and the stitching can irritate in places if you wear them barefoot (my litmus test for comfort shoes). I'm not sorry I bought them but would probably look elsewhere for a Euro-style sneaker in the future.

These shoes are great-looking and would be comfortable except for an exposed sharp little knot at the ankle, which rubs and is quite uncomfortable. What a shame, since I love the shoes in every other way. Must return.

Loved the look but they were a little short. exchanging them for half a size up. The insole is removable so i think i can use my "dress" orthotics in them, too!

I do like these but after a about an hour of walking I realize they are really too narrow as the pressure on the outside of the foot is too much. I wish Siebel would make their shoes in wide. I used to wear them all the time because they are so well made and nicely styled. But after an operation on one foot that widened that foot, I no longer can wear a B width.

I was looking for a casual shoe that would not sacrifice style for comfort. The metallic color was perfect for me; not converse bright, but not dull and boring either. There is moderate arch support and the insole is removable if you want to replace it with your own inserts for all day walking. I look forward to wearing these in the spring!

I have been looking for a red sneaker to replace my old Cole Haan's which were extremely comfortable as well as stylish. Sadly after 10 years they started to look a bit worn. These were not as stylish or comfortable but I hope they will become less stiff in the wearing.

I am constantly searching for a comfortable shoe in which I can travel. As I have gotten older (64), my feet have changed. After wasting a ton of money on shoes which hurt my weird feet after a few hours of city walking--Eccos dig into my heels; Pikolinos aren't substantial enough; Skechers make my feet ache--or which caused me to have shin splints, I realized that, when packing for trips which would require lots of walking, I kept reaching into my closet for a pair of black, Josef Seibel Mary Janes which I bought years ago. In Denver recently, I checked out what ladies were wearing, and I saw the Josef Seibel Caspian style several times; they looked much better on than I thought they would. I decided that I would give them a try. Love, love, love them. Yes, they look a little like bowling shoes, but I don't mind a bit. The alternative for me would be sneakers, and I wanted something a little bit "dressier." I normally wear a 7 US size, never a 7 1/2, but I need the 38 in Josef Seibels. My toes are right at the end of the shoe when I wear them with medium-weight socks. As another reviewer stated, they are not as cushy-comfy as one might expect and don't have much of an arch support, so if that is a need, one might want to add an insert. Also, the laces look as if they might not last, so I bought an extra pair for my overnight bag.

Sadly I'm returning. Where the toe connects to the foot, there is a bend in the shoe that rubs my foot.I do have a high instep. They are cute if you like something w/ kick, but not too wild.

Love these shoes; love that they fit my narrow feet. I bought two pairs. I can usually wear these all day when I'm traveling and playing tourist, and my feet don't hurt. I have plantar fasciitis, so this is key. HOWEVER. On both pairs, the shoelaces broke in less than a year. I wrote to the mfr. to ask for replacements (I would pay for them) and got radio silence. And Zappos - a company that will sell you ski jackets, shoes, boots, clothes -- does not sell shoelaces! WTF? The only company I can find that sells the same type of laces is in australia. Ugh.

I loved these shoes, but the stitching started coming out on the sole and the top of the shoe within a week of purchase. Zappos was awesome and sent a replacement right away, but the stitching also started to come out of the replacement pair within a couple days! I have not ever read about this being a problem with this brand, so I am hoping it was just a bad batch, I really would like to have a pair of these shoes! Zappos was great again and sent a return label for the second pair. I will try buying again when they are back in stock.

Comfortable and love the color in red. True to size and goes well with my casual outfits!

I agree with the other reviews that the sizing of these is a little odd. I usually wear a 7M or 37 European, but ordered the 38, based on the Zappos recommendation. They felt a little roomy, so I ordered the 37 as a comparison and those were a little tight! I also would agree with the many reviews that the arch support is lacking, so I decided to keep the larger shoes and add a Superfeet insole. I think this will be a great compromise and will work well for long days of walking and standing while in Europe this summer. They are super cute! Way better looking than my normal athletic shoe would be! I got the Platin Metallic color and they are great!

These are really cute casual shoes, a step above my athletic shoes in appearance. However, I found that even though I wore these around the house for a couple days to make sure they were comfortable, they are not as comfortable as I had hoped. There is not that much padding in the sole or arch support when walking outside. They also run narrow, which is fine, but I maybe should have ordered a size up to allow for inserting an insole for more padding and arch support. They will be OK for times when I am not walking really long distances or on rough terrain. More comfortable than flats, but not as much as I had hoped. I do have narrow flat feet which are always a challenge.

These shoes are adorable. They aren't as cushy as some of my other runners, but I like the style. Note quality control can mean one pair fits a little differently than another. One of the grommets of my first pair rubbed terribly on the bone to my big toe. I ordered another pair in hopes they would fit differently, and they do. I wear them often and like how they look with jeans, various tops, and my olive brown Barbour Cavalry insulated vest.

Just a great-looking shoe. Nice dark taupe color and soft leather. I almost always wear a 9 and the 40 was perfect. I was happy to see some arch support so I can walk comfortably in them. I replaced the laces right away because they seemed rather flimsy.

Cute! Love the color, fine leather. I wear a 8.5 so I ordered the 39. They are narrow, so rather then return them I decided to have our local cobbler stretch them for me.They look great with sport skirts, jeans, dressy casual best describes them.

Super cute shoes -- but 1/2 a size small if you plan to wear socks. I returned but am thinking of ordering the next size up because they were so cute.
