I bought these because I was looking for shoes that have the same look as Chuck Taylor's. These are a great substitute - very stylish, good quality and comfortable, but they run extremely narrow. I am typically around a 6.5 in sneakers or flat shoes. I have a narrow heel and a wide step and bought a size 37 but they were too short and too narrow. I ended up buying the 38 which seem a little narrow for the size as well. The other reviewers are right, there is little to no arch support so if you use orthotics I would definitely recommend going one size up from what you normally wear.

I love this shoe. Sadly, it runs quite small. I wear a size 8 and have several pairs of Josef Seibel shoes in that size, these run unusually small. I will have to return them.

I really wanted these shoes in red but they just didn't fit well enough. My feet are long, somewhat narrow, and I have high arches and a very high instep. In my regular size, these felt too narrow in the toe box, and I could feel the seam that runs across the toe. As is often the case with lace-ups and my high insteps, there was barely enough shoelace to tie a bow. Very sad. I hoped I had found a perfect, fun traveling shoe!

I like that these have a soft leather lining (I don't like suede linings) and they look really cute with the white stitching. I also like that they have a low profile at the ankle, they seem more comfortable to me because of that. I think they run very true to size. I might not recommend these for doing all day walking as there isn't lots of cushioning. However,I wore them walking for a number of hours at a time & they were fine for that.

Cute but not super comfortable. Not uncomfortable but a little stiff and a little snug all over and without great support. My feet are average width.

I bought these shoes to take on a European vacation. I wanted something comfortable, but a little dressier than regular tennis shoes. These shoes were fantastic for the job. They are lightweight and flexible - perfect for a lot of walking around town. I may have to get another pair, because there are so many great colors to choose from.

As per other reviews, the shoe felt tight and a little small, but I felt it was due more to stiff leather so I kept the shoes. I walked around the house in the shoes for 30 minutes the first couple of days and the stiffness wore off. Now, on the 3rd day, they feel just right - not too short or tight. The shoes are really cute and I love the bronze color as it dresses up this casual shoe a bit.

Fairly comfortable shoe and cute styling. It would be great if there were a little more shock absorption. When I wear them all day (I'm a teacher) my feet hurt a little. Love the silver color.

They are very cute and light weight, but they are not as comfortable as I expected. They run small and there is a little pain at the heel. I count on breaking them in soon.

These are the most adorable sneakers I have seen in years, even surpassing looks offered by Camper. But the sizing is awful. These sneakers basically come in a: "if you can guess it, you can get it" size. If you look carefully at the size chart, you will see that a Seibel's 37 is 6-6.5 and a 38 is 7-7.5. I bought both having no idea what would work. Well, the 6-6.5 37 is truly a 6.5-7. The 38 is truly an 8. Therefore, there is no size 7 or 7.5. I don't know if this crazy gap in sizes occurs with the other sizes, but my size, 7.5 - 8 is average and if the company can mess that up, well. As you might gather, I am very disappointed. And, wounded: the shoes literally tore the backs of my heels into bloody disasters that weeks later are only just beginning to heal. And what about my toes? You don't want to know.

I was looking for a casual shoe that was a little nicer than a typical running shoe, and that would accommodate my orthotics. These shoes looked great -- I ordered the Imola Grigio leather, which is a nice neutral olive that would go with nearly everything (it was a little lighter in real life than on my monitor though). However, the shoe was a little snug without my orthotics and way too tight when I replaced the removable insole with my orthotics, since the insole was so much thinner than my orthotics. So it's a cute shoe, but not enough depth for high arches/insteps like mine and/or orthotics.

Very stylish and comfy walking shoe. After about 6 hours walking in them, I could feel the front pads of my feet feeling a bit of pressure. In the shoe, right where the foot pads are, the shoe convexes towards the foot (shouldn't it concave to accept your foot pad)? It also has no arch support so i added an insert. My feet are a tad wide and I like to wear padded socks, so the laces are a bit too short so I ordered longer after market laces.

I bought these in Germany last summer in size 37. It feels a little smaller than it should lengthwise, but it fits my narrow heel perfectly, and the width in the toe is good. They're definitely cute, and I hope to get some good use out of them this summer too.

I would not say they are half a size smaller than the true size, but they are a bit smaller. I think if I ordered the next size up they would be too big. But since they are leather it will give. I have worn them to work (retail) two days now and they are comfortable. I love the style - that gets five stars. I will probably order these in another color.

This is a cute shoe and fun to wear. Given the price, it should have better arch support. I bought additional arch supports to wear with this shoe, which increased the overall price.

I love these shoes. I have to wear orthotics and I also do a lot of walking with my kids. These are the most stylish lace-up flats I have found. I have beige and navy. The navy are especially cute and even look street chic, for instance with skinny jeans. They are very comfortable and seem very well made. I wish they came in half sizes, but I was able to make a half-size too big work with padding.

The shoes look great and the left one felt great. However, the right shoe rubbed my heel and gave me a blister. In comparing the two, the right shoe is slightly narrower in the heel. Small defect, but it makes a big difference in the fit and feel. Too bad, I really like the shoe...at least the left one.

I love Joseph Seibel shoes and have found them to be enormously supportive and comfortable all the while looking stylish. I have walked miles in them sightseeing and hiked rugged trails with them. BUT, this pair rubbed the side of my back right heel raw. Perhaps just a flaw in this particular pair I received. But it means I cannot depend on them to be my trusted traveling shoes.

I liked them until I attempted to walk and felt discomfort in both my heels. The discomfort was not due to the fit, which was fine, it was due to the design. I returned them.

I continue to buy these shoes because there is no prominent arch support and that is what I need. Runs small. I wear a 10 in dress shoes and must buy a 41 (11) in these shoes. The biggest problem is that the sole wears out very quickly.

These were not comfortable for my feet with high arch, narrow heels and with need for room for toes.

These shoes are beautiful with classic styling and premium materials. The downside of this shoe is the break-in time. These are very stiff and not ready for long wear out of the box.

Cute but a little juvenile for me.

I tried this model in a store. As cute and stylish as it was, definitely did not work for me. This model is way too narrow to fit comfortably. Lengthwise, the size 40 fit my normally size 9 foot, but because the cut was so narrow, I didn’t feel like I could wear these shoes. This model is definitely for narrow feet.

I ordered a 40. I normally wear a 9 or 9.5 depending upon style. I was struggling to make this shoe comfortable; I went to a store and bought expensive insoles to see if it was just padding. And the size 9 insole didn't fit. But the 8-8.5 insole did. A 40 is not equivalent to a 9 ......despite what the website says. It's 1/2 to a full size smaller
