It felt like an excellent shoe until the sole started to detach with only 2 weeks or normal use.

I usually have been buying size 9 in hiking boots and some running shoes... my shoe size usually is size 8 1/2 for shoes....with the exceptional as stated prior. This shoe, is definitely running large. i may try one more time... and see if a half size smaller may do the trick. the size nine was way..to0 big. the size 8 1/2 was way too big.... other than this...it looks like a good shoe.

These sneakers were the noisiest sneakers I have ever tried on. The squeak was so loud it was much more than annoying. Was this a bad pair or is everyone crazy. I of course returned them. It's too bad, because I liked the sneaker for all other reasons. I thought it would get quieter after a few days, but it actually got louder!

I have trouble with this product. I'm a security officer at an Atlantic City casino/hotel. I spend 40 hours doing a lot of walking around. I'm required to wear black shoes and socks to go with my uniform. Sometimes I have to stand in one spot for over an hour. My feet tend to get hot and perspire. My normal size is 8.5 D (U.S. Mens). I ordered the Asics GEL-Tech Walker Neo 2 in this size, based on its top rating in the September 2010 issue of a consumer's magazine (actually the model tested was without the "2" suffix). The first three days, they were painfully tight in all dimensions: Length, Width, and toe-box height. After a few days, they felt better, although I have heard footwear experts say that a shoe should feel good immediately, without a "breaking-in" period. The ratings were correct about the breathability. As tight as these shoes were, the air circulated extremely well through my toes due to the mesh fabric in the uppers. The downside to this is that the mesh, after two weeks, is already starting to tear at the end of my big toe (and yes, I keep the nails well trimmed). Maybe if I ordered a tiny bit larger in the length and width, I wouldn't be having all these problems. My next purchase will be my old standby, a New Balance black walking shoe. I already know that New Balance shoes are best ordered a half size larger in length, so I'll get an 8 D.

I have been wearing Asics exclusively since college and have been extremely happy with them - until now. I am used to a break-in period with any pair of shoes but these have been uncomfortable since day one and have become increasingly worse. The fit seems fine and when putting them on I didn't notice any obvious issues. The problem is after wearing them for a period of time [over an hour] my feet start to hurt. This happens if I am walking in them or if I am sitting down with my feet up. Other reviews have mentioned pain in the metatarsal area and that's what happened to me. The discomfort was unbearable and after owning/wearing them for only a few months I threw them out. And for the first time [in a very long time] I bought another brand of shoe.
