This is a very good shoe, maybe not as supportive as I expected but very good anyway. It's basic style is ok, I wish it was a little more creative, retro perhaps. Zappos service was spectacular, always a pleasure doing business with you!

Great shoe, but for the price I wish they'd last longer. I walk 4 times a week and after 6 months, there's no support left in the shoe. I've had many Asics GEL shoes and they're my shoe of choice for comfort but it's a strain on my wallet.

This is my third pair of Asics walking shoes. The first two pair (of earlier generations) felt extremely comfortable the first time they were put on. These Neo 2's took a bit of getting used to. They feel like they are putting more pressure on the outside edges of my feet - this may be caused by the asymmetric lacing arrangement. My older Asics walkers each lasted about two years when walking 1 to 5 miles per day. Both the heels and the inside liners wore out at the same time. In the Neo 2, it looks like both of these areas have been strengthened, so I expect my new shoes to last a bit longer. Conclusion: I love the Neo 2, but I found the earlier generations of Asics Walkers slightly more comfortable.

Comfortable shoe for casual wear or light exercise. Didn't have any problems until I walked a half-marathon and realized I had blisters on the outside of both heels in the same position. Compared with my old shoes (another brand) and the Asics are narrower at the heel where my blisters formed.

I am a young 65 and walking is a major part of my daily exercise. To all people of retirement age, this shoe is a must. If you do not exercise, walk! Knowing that all people need to exercise, it would be a great benefit to our overweight society if Asics would cut the price in half as a quality gift to humanity. Listen to me Asics, you make the best walking shoe on earth, give the residents of earth the healthy boost they need and lower your price.

These are very light and comfortable for long distance city walking from the very beginning.

I am a huge fan of Asics shoes and am rarely disappointed with them, but these shoes did disappoint. When you spend so much on a pair of Asics, you usually can expect good comfortable shoes. Well after about two months of wearing these shoes they just hurt my feet. I wear them to work and stand/walk about four out of eight hours and they just are not comfortable. I did purchase the GT-2170s and love them.

Very comfortable but does run small. Ordered a 1/2 size up but should have gotten a full size up. Will try the next size with high hopes.

Bought to eventually replace a pair of New Balance MR840WR that I like but aren't made anymore. Asics very acceptable replacement. Perhaps slightly less cushioned, but fit is terrific -- plenty of room in the toe, good arch support, room for my high arched foot. So far just day to day walking, Asics seem good to me -- I am a big guy. Test will be in the fall walking through endless museums and sights on vacation trip.

Hubby's last pair of Nike's have been too tight since day one and not comfortable after the least bit of use. I looked on Zappos for the best walking shoe for men and he ended-up loving these! We spent 5 days in San Diego doing a ton of walking and his legs, feet and back were fine! He likes them so much I might get him another pair as it seems like anything we like always gets discontinued!

I have found these shoes very comfortable and fit well. I walk about 2 miles 4 to 5 times a week and have not had any problems. I replaces the innersole with a new one immediately as I do with any shoe I buy as I have not found a factory innersole worth using.

These are the best walking shoes I have ever owned. I wore out another pair and bought a replacement. I have tried some of their other shoes, but their walkers are their best shoe in my opinion.

We each got a pair and they are great - she has bunions and these don't hurt her. My arches are fallen to the point of being inverse and I can walk right along with her. No regrets!

Ordered these as a sub for the Gel-180TR's for hubby, as his faves were out of stock. They look good & he's enjoying these for daily speed-walking. They are really nice looking & the offset laces are not really noticeable. Still hoping that Zappos gets his all-time fave Asics Gel-180TR's back in stock, as we'll get those for him too.

This was the first ASICS I ever bought. One of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Just bought another ASICS too...different color. And, as usual, Zappos service was superb!

This is an update. My last review, a couple of days ago, said the shoes were "dorky"... The async lacing takes a minute to get used to but WOW ! These shoes are great ! I went on my daily 4 mile walk around the lake yesterday and WOW (I said that, didn't I?). These are 100% more comfortable than my Zigs. I am changing the word "dorky" to "interesting". Moving on. Get these shoes.

Received my second pair of these shoes as the first pair finally wore out. They feel just as terrific as the first pair! Thank you Asics for not changing them. They are perfict the wat they are.

I have horrible foot problems - flat feet and ligament tears, etc., and I rarely give out positive feedback on Zappos. This shoe, however, is perfect. Great cushioning. Accommodates my orthotics perfectly. I put lots of miles on them without any pain in my Achilles tendon(s). Asics these days are very hit and miss, and the comfort of one style changes from one generation to the next. So, I'm begging Asics - please don't mess with this shoe! Don't change anything! Maybe a neutral gray, not over the top, colorway, but that's it! I don't want to have to buy more than one pair at a time to make sure the same thing exists the next time I'm ready to get a new pair. Anyways. Good job. Keep making them the same and you have a lifelong customer.

These shoes are great, very comfortable, true to size, with good arch support. I like the ASICS brand better than others because they seem to hold up better. Definitely recommend this shoe.

I love Zappos! There is so much to love that it's hard to get started. The selection is awesome, the prices good, ordering easy, shipping almost instant and a fantastic return process. Need I say more!

I bought this shoe mainly for walking outdoors and casual biking. Haven't had much of a chance to use it yet due to the snow and ice this winter however. It feels very comfortable and the gel heel will allow me to walk longer. The toe area is wide enough unlike some shoes which are too narrow in that area. I look forward to giving them a true test once spring arrives!

Great item. Exactly what I ordered. And it came to me before Christmas! Very pleased.

I suffer from arthritis in one knee and my back and I have never been able to find a walking shoe that doesn't cause me more pain... until now! This shoe is amazing! It fits like a glove, seats my foot in a precise way that actually mitigates the pain and almost eliminates it! This Gel-Tech Walker Neo 2 is, without question, the best walking shoe I have ever seen. There is more than enough support for not only the arches, but also the rest of the foot. The offset lacing offers more support and cushioning to the top of the foot as well as stabilization throughout a stride. Bought a pair for the love of my life, my wife, and she totally loves them as well. We did get her a PowerMax orthotic for a tad more arch support (she has REALLY flat feet) and it is a perfect match for her. Buy these now! Really! Don't bother looking at any other shoe... My opinion entirely, you will love them!

I previously own the Gel Kayano 19, which I found to be very comfortable and fit well. I wanted something less expensive this time around, though. The Gel-Tech Walker Neo 2 is very comfortable, is true to its size, has good arch support (I overpronate), and costs a bunch less. I recommend it and may even purchase it again the next time around.
