I need to replace my New Balance 812. As I tried the 813 and did not meet my expectations as a long time user of the 812 and they did not fit, I am going to try this one to see what happens. I will like to find a new brand since most of the new models of NB are full of colors, very good for the youngest but horrible if you have to use them because a medical condition. While I find it, here I am. Only in Zappo's I found 6.5 Wide. Not even in the store.

The fit and size were both all right. I purchased the hook and loop shoes and I did find out that the part that crosses over the top of your foot is not long enough. I have a very high arch and it doesn't close all the way.

Brand recommended by my podiatrist several years ago. I wear them almost daily.

The shoe feels true to size. I am overweight and my feet now look and feel fat as well. I bought a wide width shoe but because I wear sandals 90% of the time the shoe feels snug to me. I think it's just that I have only had real shoes on three times in the last 6 months. Once my feet get use to being in a real shoe they feel fine and are great for walking.

I have a narrow foot and felt the toe bed was too wide. I tried another New Balance shoe and it was perfect. Absolutely love Zappos. What would I do without them?

I'm so grateful to Zappos for their free shipping and return policy. I got these in the W and unfortunately it was not wide enough for my foot. I always put the shoes on and wear them for at least 1 hour, it's the true test of how they will fit. These started to make my toes tingle, which means for me that the width is not wide enough Had to return and since they do not come in a WW I ended up ordering a different New Balance style.

I ordered these shoes in 10AA (I seem to need a 10 in New Balance) in white. They seemed pretty comfortable, but they were rather heavy and klunky-looking. In addition, the sides came up pretty high to my ankles, and I would have had to insert pads below my orthotics to make them more comfortable. That said, they were pretty comfortable with the orthotics. However, I decided to return them and try out a lighter, more stylish pair. Fingers crossed!

Shoe is a great value, but needed a half size larger--and Zappos took care of that--thank you Zappos!

Not for me. I was looking to replace another pair of New Balance shoes that I have but these did not fit the same. The toes box seemed to be very roomy. Not a good fit for my foot

This is a great everyday walking shoe, and really looks nice in white. The last, which is New Balance's SL-2 is perfect for me, a wider toe box and a narrower heal. I did say that the shoe is true to size, but it might be a smidge too big. I don't think I could have taken it smaller really, especially if I wore heavier socks, and I take the same size, an 8 in all New Balance shoes. If you are looking for a classic walking shoe without a lot of bells and whistles, this is it. I really love it; it looks great with yoga gear, running gear and jeans with a plain white T. Enjoy it.

They feel like they must look clunky, but with my "old age" bad feet, they really help. So nice to have a place that sells well-made shoes for women in extra wide sizes. Have always had wide feet but the neuropathy and swelling is new. Thanks Zappos!

These were very comfortable but ultimately too dowdy. I wish there was a breathable black shoe that doesn't look like my uncle's shoes. I just ordered some Cole Haan- hoping those will fit my needs.

I will be ordering them again today.

Felt high and bulky and a bit tight. Returned.

The leather was soft and flexible, however the tongue of the shoe is bulky and was uncomfortable at the top of my foot while I walked around my house. I can only imagine it would be worse outside. Sadly, I returned these.

I love these shoes, but they creak! the soles are noisy squeakers. Any ideas how to make it stop?

I have been wearing New Balance 928’s for the last 3 years. Since New Balance made changes to the 928’s I have been unable to find a shoe that is as comfortable as the original ones. I tried the NB 577 shoes and amazingly they are extremely comfortable. I bought them a half size larger after reading some reviews that said they run small. I usually wear a 10 and the 10 1/2 fits me really well. I like the fact the uppers are leather and not synthetic. They are roomy enough to put my own orthotics into with plenty of space to spare. They are very well cushioned and feel very much like the original 928’s at a much lesser price. I bought the black ones and I just put in an order for the white ones too. I wish they came in more colors though. I hope New Balance does not try update this shoe as it is great just the way it is.
