Comfortable Shoes

I like the shoe. It is well padded and feels like it's made well. Unfortunately, it was a bit smaller than expected. I can always wear size 9 regular shoes without problems. This shoe was a bit tight. I returned it for a 9.5 wide for a better fit. I don't own any other shoes this size, so I think it's this particular shoe that runs a bit tight. Even so, I like the shoe. I work on my feet most of the day and I have no problem wearing them.

Overall, very pleased with this purchase. The shoe was a bit smaller and narrower than I expected, but after one or two wearings, has stretched out to be comfortable. Very good support; I do a lot of walking!

My find this New Balance Sneaker to be very stiff and rigid in time I am sure I will love them. This is my third New Balance Shoe and I love the Brand.

This is my go to shoe when I need a basic sneaker for running errands, walking. I have a wide foot with high arches. This is a basic sturdy shoe with decent arch support. My complaints are the laces are long and could use a tad more cushioning.

I have worn this brand of shoes for many years and have found that it is always true to size.

These are comfortable walking shoes with moderate support. I always wear a 6.5 shoe but had to order these in a 7 - as my normal size does not work with these shoes and wearing thicker socks, such as Smart Wool. I always have been happy with New Balance shoes.

Great shoes, but came with 2 different shoelaces. One shoe had a shoelace 7.25 inches longer than the lace on the other shoe.

I've had several New Balance walking shoes over the years. I've always ordered 9.5 medium width and they've always fit perfectly. This is the first pair that was so short my toes hit the ends and too narrow even with the shoe opened as wide as possible. Returning this pair; hopefully the next size up will fit.

This shoe fit great except it felt too low and loose in the ankle. Tightening the laces didn't fix this problem, just made the laces tight against the ankle.

I normally wear Nike athletic shoes but couldn't find the style I was accustomed to wearing so thought I'd give New Balance a try. Loved the shoes, however the NB shoes seem to run 1/2 size smaller than the Nike's I'd been wearing. So I returned them. I'd suggest trying on shoes in a store before you actually order a style other than what you're accustomed to. Zappos return policy is quite convenient and I would not hesitate to order other items from them.

New Balance have been my shoes since the 1970's. I have two pairs of these and bought another as an additional for rotation, I do not wear the same shoes every day. The white version of size 6 fit fine. This black version of size 6 is a bit tight with the same socks. However, they are solid shoes, not too heavy, with good support. They are highly recommended.

I have somewhat severe bunions on both feet, and have to use custom orthotic inserts in all my shoes. I bought these because they were available in the width that was suggested by my podiatrist, as well as under $100 (hard to find in New Balance). As far as looks go, they're just basic white gym shoes. They fit fine, but aren't anything special.

Shoe shopping is always a difficult task for me. As a child, I had to wear unfashionable tie oxfords while the rest of my classmates wore fashionable loafers. The heels of the shoes would always slide up and down. Sometimes I would walk right out of the shoe unless the shoe was securely tied to my foot. Until about 15 years ago, I was able to buy narrow width AA shoes from better shoe stores. Then I was told nobody wore narrow shoes anymore, so the stores stopped carrying them. Just to make buying shoes interesting, not only is my foot narrow, the right foot also pronates due to an overly flexible or collapsed arch. This creates more fit problems for the right foot. This shoe seemed slightly wide especially in the forefoot. It also felt and sounded clunky. It didn't bind or pinch or hurt. This is the first shoe I have ever had fit in the heel and be too wide in the toes. For a New Balance shoe, this one didn't have much arch support.

Support is good, style is fine. But I normally wear a 10W and these are a little snug. They are wearable so they do feel better now after breaking them in some.

My feet feel pretty good at the end of a long workday. Not attractive, but are mostly hidden under my business casual pants. Overall the best looking of all available black tennis. I could do without the reflecting logo on the back.

These are great walking shoes with a large comfortable toe box. You will want to wear at least ankle length socks, however, because the tongue and sides are high and will rub against your ankle and ankle bone if you wear low-cut socks.

I have a small, narrow foot, and it's really difficult to find a fit in sneakers. These work! I especially like the full toe box, which I feel is better for my feet--no rubbing. This sneaker is stiff at first and a bit hard to break in. I had to order 1/2 size larger.

I'm not sure what the specific difference is but I have another pair of WW577's only with Velcro and they fit like a dream. These with laces fit okay, just not quite like a dream. I can wear these for 2 or 3 hours before my diabetic neuropathy starts to kick in and I have to get out of these shoes and off my feet immediately. My Velcro pair I can wear for 5 or 6 hours and almost live a semi-normal life (for a retired senior). I think the difference might be that the heel is ever so slightly wider in these lace up NB's so my heels don't get quite as much support...we're talking millimeters and fractions of millimeters of difference here, not miles...and the width difference is only in the heels. If I hadn't found the WD's with Velcro I would most likely be gushing with praise for these lace up WD577's. They are that good.

I have high arches. Sizing for my orthotics, 1/2 size larger than my regular size, was fine. Large toe box good. Good cushioning. Return because soles too stiff for my feet.

These shoes are great for being on your feet all day. They have lasted through several 12 hour shifts and at least one 16 hour shift. Great for nurses!

I like this shoe, but it should come with a better footbed, I had to buy a pair of inserts for better cushioning & support. This is a good walking shoe, & I like that it comes in a wide width.

My previous work shoes were getting worn down on the soles, which made them uncomfortable to walk in, so I asked one of my friends what type of work shoes he thought would be good for me. He suggested getting some New Balances, so I decided to try these out. They're kind of bulky-looking, but they keep my feet comfy during long shifts when I don't get to sit down.
