These shoes were not at all comfy; they were a tight fit in the toebox and the bottom arches had zero support. These shoes downright hurt. I'm returning them and trying another two models.

I have purchased the same type of shoe since the year 1982, and have always been satisfied. I need a wide shoe, and have ALWAYS gotten a 4E width. This shoe now only has an option for a 2E width, no 4E available. It is most uncomfortable, and I hate the shoe, as it is so tight. I would never recommend this shoe, unless they bring back the 4E width option.

I ordered 12 Narrow, hoping it would fit. I have very narrow feet, but they are long. I've noticed there is always a distinct increase in width for the size 11 and up women's shoes, which is unfortunate for me. Do others have this problem? My feet are slim, and my toes are long. These athletic shoes were huge! I mean huge. Very unattractive. The toe box is gigantic. Because they are so wide, I had no support for my arches. My feet were swimming in them, and therefore they were unusable, and so back they go. Thank you Zappos for your easy-return policy.

very unhappy with my shoes, and I will never again order on line. the picture on line looked similar to the great shoes I've had before, but the pair I received are nothing like the others. I am very disappointed.

I have worn New Balance shoes for years the SL style with a roomy toe box but the shoes was much slimmer looking. This new style WW577 SL is so cumbersome, I find myself tripping over the shoes. Not my favorite shoes this time.

I have been wearing new balance for years. I don't know what has happened but they no longer have enough cushion Under the ball of the foot. Changing insoles did not help.

Argh, so frustrating trying to find comfortable sneakers for walking! These aren't fashionable looking, but I actually prefer the old-school look to all the colors in vogue now - if they felt good. 1. They are too wide. The room in the toe box creates a pocket above my foot -- does anyone have tall feet? 2. They have terrible support. I tried various things: took out the innersole and tried two different arch supports of my own. This helped the arch but kept the shoes too wide. Then I kept their innersole in and put my arch support on top of it. This made them a bit tight -- they'd have broken in, but it also gave my foot too much lift and my heel slid out too easily. 3. Worst of all. They make my feet pronate in. So if you have wide feet that pronate outward these are the shoes for you! All you need is your own arch supports and you'll be good to go.

Very disappointed in the sizing. This is supposed to be a 2A in width and it is as wide as a B width - I have 2 older pairs of NB at home one a B width and 1 a 2A width to compare it with.

This shoe was a good fit for my wide foot, but there is very little in the way of cushioning for the bottom of the foot and the arch support was disappointing. Seems to me the quality of New Balance is slipping.

I have purchased other New Balance walking/running shoes in the past and really liked them. Unfortunately, both pairs purchased previously are worn out to the point that it's useless to wear them. So, based on the reviews and the price, I ordered these. I got them today and wanted to wear them right after work when I went for a walk, but I didn't want the shoes to get dirty just in case I had to return them. So, I waited until I got home to try them on. The shoes hurt and had my feet hurting (across the top of my foot) after wearing them for no more than FIVE (5) minutes!!! Will have to look for something else. They will definitely be going back. Going online right now to print out the return shipping label.

I am so happy with this sneaker. It is comfortable on my arch and width of the shoe is just wonderful. I hate to take them off.

I wore them outside, so I didn't return them, but they are very hard. The picture doesn't show what they really look like. In 1970 I had a pair like these that I liked, but heck...back then we didn't expect as much from a pair of shoes.

WAY too small! Ordered the size of my longer foot, and this shoe was so short my toes were smashed into the end of the shoes on both feet. Looked to see if wrong shoe size was sent, but it was correct.
Also, online it looks like this looks like an all-black shoe. On the back there is a giant white logo that makes it less appropriate for wearing to work. Would have just dealt with that if they had fit, though.

I need a good size toe box, these fit the bill but are so big, they are ugly. I wish shoe companies would use standard sizing so an 11 would be just that and a 12 would be a 12. I never know so I end up getting both sizes if possible with every shoe I order. Sometimes a 12 is perfect, other times I'm swimming in them. As for these, the 11 and the 12 feel exactly the same. The ww is wider than usual but my big toe is up against the end on both (even without my orthotic). The other thing, shoe companies assume someone that needs a big size is fat. When I order knee boots, the shaft is always too big. In regular shoes, the heel is always to wide once I get the toe area wide enough. So in closing...huge, ugly, and still too small. I'd need a 13 in these....and I would look like bigfoot. Thank goodness for Zappos. They take a small bite out of what is always the miserable chore of finding shoes.

These shoes are defective. I purchased these shoes less than a year ago and have worn them occasionally. The side seam where the leather is stitched under the N has ripped for no apparent reason. I called Zappos and informed them and they did nothing, stated that it was too long ago and could not do anything about it. I recommend that if Zappos cannot stand behind the merchandise that they sell that we, the consumer, shop someplace that will. Do not buy these shoes, they will not last!
