Shoe ran true to size but unlike my previous New Balance shoes, these were not comfortable. The lower part of the tongue is really thick and the edge rests right under a seam on the upper. I was not impressed by the quality of the leather. Additionally, they looked like giant boats on my feet 9probably partially due to the white color). These are going straight back.

These are horrible but I’m too lazy to return them. I have terrible feet with arthritis in my ankles and knees. I usually wear Crocs cayman clogs but wanted a real shoe for rainy winters. These are stiff and the left shoe rubs on the top of my big toe and my ankles feel squeezed. Had to let the laces down one hole for my ankles. After wearing them for a few hours the right shoe hurt where my toes bend. These were recommended in all the articles written for my problems but I cannot recommend them at all. The look terrible too! Big, clunky and orthopedic looking. Make my feet and ankles look huge. I’d include a picture but I already threw them in the back of my closet. Sticking with the fuzzy lined crocs. They don’t look any worse.

The way the tongue was attached inside the shoe made it terribly uncomfortable. Better luck next time.

I have ordered this style shoes multiple times with no problems. I don't know if something was changed, but they hurt my feet. They felt hard when first trying them on, but I thought they'd soften up. Unfortunately, I'm not able to wear them. I then ordered a different pair of New Balance that I have also had before. That pair New Balance #411 hurt also. New Balance must have changed something. I have worn both of these styles for years. Now I have two virtually new pair of shoes that I can't wear. I had to purchase a third pair - a different brand, with no problem. I do not have a problem with any other of my shoes, so it has to be something with these New Balance styles. So disappointing, as I've worn both of these styles for years for work and love the convenience of ordering them on the computer without having to go to the store.

The inside can open wide; however, the closing straps are stiff and get stuck so didn't work for mr. I have only 1 functioning hand. I ned them.

Unfortunately I used the shoe on only one walk. I had to cut my walk short because I experienced pain on my foot. The shoe seemed too stiff and perhaps the velcro straps were not positioned correctly for my foot.

The sneakers run terribly short. I usually wear a size 8 but after reading the comments from former people that order them, they said these run short so I ordered up a 1/2 size still to short. I'll try a size 9 to see if this will work.

Let me start by saying that I have worn New Balance shoes for 30+ years - no problems and fit well, even with a narrow foot! However, upon receiving these shoes, they felt hard and uncomfortable. Being that I literally sit in a chair for 8 hours a day at work, I decided that it wasn't worth sending them back. I figured they would be alright and soften up with time. Well, every day sitting in that chair, my little toe burns like it's on fire!!! It's terrible! I have to problems, nor have I ever had any problems, with any other shoes that I have. I would strongly advise not to purchase this style. I normally wear them to work several months, then take them to use for exercise walking. There is absolutely, positively NO WAY that I will attempt to walk in these shoes. I am going to purchase another style that I've had before and hope that they are the same quality that I'm used to receiving. If they feel anything like these, they will be returned immediately.

I have been buying NB shoes exclusively for more years than I can remember, but will not buy them again. Quality has declined, shoe style and shape has changed and I am one sad x-customer!

I bought the 577 shoe and it is very uncomfortable. I bought New Balance for several years because of the different widths. I need a narrow shoe and not many companies do narrow shoes. A couple of years ago I noticed New Balance wasn't the same shoe I was used to. It was little shorter and the seams rubbed blisters on my feet. I decided to try another brand of shoe. Those shoes were great but now that company doesn't not make narrow shoes anymore, so I'm back to New Balance and I hate them. This is the last pair I will purchase. I used to think New Balance was the only shoe there was but no more. New Balance is like all the other companies comfort and quality doesn't matter anymore.

The top hook & loop strap is too high up. The whole strap and connectors need to be lowered slightly as does the tongue.

I medically need a good walking shoe with velcro closing. I have bought NB shoes before from the store and been very satisfied. However, this pair I ordered on line were not up to the quality. The velcro on both shoes was cut short and actually buckled on the one side. I have returned the shoes, but it will take a long time for refund because of the virus pandemic. I am very unhappy with this experience!

I cut an inch off the tongue because it was so long that it dug into my legs. My legs hurt for 2 days after I wore them for a day. It's not worth buying any shoe that you have to alter so much to be comfortable.

This was not a comfortable shoe by any means, The shoe is extremely hard and there is absolutely no cushion. I went back to my old shoes for my walking and won't be using these unless I go buy soft insoles. Very disappointing.

I think there is something wrong with the construction of one of the shoes. While the right shoe felt and wore fine, the left shoe tongue rubbed my outside ankle and caused a very painful bruise. I was force to fold the tongue back on itself to stop further rubbing. I have always worn new balance and have ever had an issue, as I’m on my feet a lot at work walking a little over 6 miles a day. Since they are now used I’m out the money.
