I've worn New Balance shoes for exercise-walking for years. Generally, it's good to get a half size larger than one usually wears for this brand. I am 65 and after years of wearing high heels and other shoes meant for style rather than comfort, my feet have suffered. My toes now need plenty of room, but the rest of the foot is still relatively narrow. (it seems that NO ONE makes narrow width shoes anymore. I need to get a shoe that ties or has some way of adjusting the width. Lace-up shoes are no problem.) I add the previous comment in the hope that shoe manufacturers might take note. I wouldn't wear these shoes for anything but exercise, not even to the grocery store; that doesn't really bother me, but it might some people. I do feel that the styling does verge on the "old lady," but then I guess I'm in that category. If there was a model that was this comfortable, but that looked sharp, I'd buy it rather than this one. The shoes are very comfortable for brisk walking; I'd been having trouble with foot pain, and that has lessened considerably. I walk about 2 miles every day and am gradually increasing my distance. Yes, I'd buy these shoes again. I marked that they had moderate arch support; they're probably better than that, but I now have pretty high expectations for comfort and support.

This shoe is very comfortable and stylish. I work in an environment that requires 4 hours of standing and moving; this shoe is perfect.

Nice, comfortable shoe. Looks big in the toe box, which is comfortable on one hand, but not sure what I think style-wise. Turns out I don't really need another pair of sneakers (need something in white that's not a sneaker), so will be returning. Love Zappos' return policy and free shipping! Will use Zappos again! Don't really know about the arch support in this shoe (didn't wear around the house enough), so checked moderate.

This is a fantastic shoe. Everything written in the description is true. You will fall in love with walking again. It has a wide toebox, which is what drew me to NB shoes ages ago, but were starting to get away from. If you need a wide toebox, this is the shoe for you.

This shoe is true to size and width. A very comfortable walking pair. This is my second pair and will get another when these were out.

These shoes are great! From day one, it was like running barefoot in a field of soft grass! No breaking in required and I have feet like Donald Duck: flat and wide. ;) Plus these shoes are made in the USA! Zappos rocks.

I ordered these in a size 5 extra wide and they fit well with my orthotic. The sole is quite flexible.

Nice fit! Help my feet with my many foot problems. A little hot - my last shoes were the mesh type - but should be a great winter shoe. I like that when I wear them my feet don't hurt!

My feet hurt all the time. I have foot problems and walk lots and lots for work, on my feet 9 hours a day. Was having back aches too. These shoes are just the ticket, only wish they anti slip soles. They get a little slippery on wet floors, but all in all my feet thank you and my back thanks you. Great service too. I will shop next time.

Been wearing New Balance for years including the WW811 and WW1442. These were too wide in the toe box and am sending them back.

I had worn the New Balance 811 series for 15 years. When they came out with a much changed 812 I had to find a new shoe. This one fit the bill. Actually I like it better. I wear full length orthodics and this shoe still has plenty of room for my toes. They tie up firm and keep my foot in place over my orthodics. I wear these all day long and for exercising which includes long walks. Very comfortable stable shoes. I do wish they did not have the logo in white on the back of the heel since I wear these shoes to work.

Been wearing these for a few weeks now, and they've been great! They were comfy right out of the box. I've done several long walks in them, and my feet and legs are feeling good afterward. When I first tried them on, something about the way they fit made me think they were going to be too small - I've had that with other New Balance shoes - not sure what that is about the design, but the fit is actually great. It's a little snug around the center of the foot, but there's plenty of room around the toes. Very comfortable and stable.

The fit was good, but they came up too far on my ankles and that was very uncomfortable.

Comfortable shoes, not too stylish. I picked white, I think in another color they’d look better. I returned these and decided on a mesh pair (Hoka) because I live in a hot climate.
