I take a 6-1/2 AA shoe, which is a hard size to find. My last walking shoes were Easy Spirit. They felt too wide in the heel. The NB 577 fit perfectly. They were narrow in the mid-foot and the heel. They were AA shoes. The toe box is quite roomy without being too big. I have a Morton's neuroma in one foot and need the wider toe box. I like these shoes so much I also bought a pair in black. I hope NB is still making the 577 when these wear out.

Having a very short, very wide foot makes shoe buying a nightmare but I needed new shoes, my old "bought two sizes bigger" shoes were literally worn to holes in the sole. Looked at Zappos and found this New Balance shoe and thought I'd give it a try. The toe box is very generous and the support is amazing. I bought a half size bigger since I was uncertain how the fit would be. Next time I will buy my proper size.

Over the course of several days, I went to every nearby store and tried every shoe in my size at every single one. Nothing. I wear 11w and some places don't even carry that size! But because my feet are so hard to fit, I don't ever buy shoes online because I can't try them on first. But I desperately needed a pair of good walking shoes so I could walk a 5k this August. I have to say, I'm much happier with these shoes than I expected. I walk about three miles a day, and I've been tearing through other shoes in about three or four months. I decided to buy these specifically as walkers, with no great expectations. I love them. Instead of worrying about arch support being in the right place for my small feet, I was able to include an insert with plenty of room. Shoe is very supportive and well made. Love them.

I received these shoes 2 days ago and am very happy with them. They fit and feel like a glove. I am very hard to fit. I have a wide foot and they are very flat with pronation. I have a closet full of shoes I cannot wear and finally found these that I love. I ordered another pair in white and wanted a pair in black. They were out of the black but hopefully they will get some in soon. Today was the first time I went shopping in a long time and my feet didn't hurt. I appreciate the great service of Zappoes.

I have hammertoes and bunions and was going on a cruise and needed a comfortable walking shoe for the many sightseeing trips. This shoe held up to the task. I used to work in a retail sales environment that was supposed to dress "Business Professional" (for retail? yep)...but for me every single "business professional" absolutely killed my feet since I was on them more then 8 hours a day.
