use these shoes for indoor rock climbing and hiking. I like them. They're super lightweight and breathable. They are pretty true to size (I wear socks with mine). The Ice Green color is a little brighter than it appears online.

One of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I wear them all over the world when I travel and also wear them to run in.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn! I am a runner and although I really do not like them as running shoes, they are great for walking and I can be in them all day and my feet feel great!

These are pretty cute for running shoes, and they fit my foot well. I have a high arch and a very high instep, and I did find it a little difficult to slide my foot in, but once I had them on, they fit my foot closely in a good way. My foot runs on the wide side of average, and these do not squeeze my toes. They also make your feet look smaller than most athletic shoes, though I do have small-ish feet already (6.5). I appreciate how light they are while still providing support. I really dislike heavy, bulky shoes.

Oh man, these are fantastic and light, flexible, grippy. The soles are nice and thin, so you know what you're walking on, but provide enough of a shield that walking on loose rocks doesn't hurt a bit. I don't think I've ever had a pair of shoes that made me want to run and jump and play quite so much. One note: the opening to the shoe is quite small. I have a very narrow foot and it still takes a bit of wrestling to get my heel in.

Really love these shoes. I'm not a runner, but they are great on my bicycle and at work. I'm a massage therapist so I'm on my feet a lot. I did have to slowly break into them. Took a few days to work up to a full days wear. But I can feel the difference in how I move in these shoes.

Excellent shoe, except that the area above the toe tends to wrinkle up and doesn't look so great. But fits great and totally worth keeping.

Feels very comfortable. The 'barefoot' in the name is vary appropriate since there is no need to wear socks and there is no rubbing or irritation.

Love the shoes! They fit great, very comfortable. Sizes are accurate. I bought another pair of Merrell everyday sneakers and those are great too. Regarding the Barefoot runners, I would suggest that you start out slow (do only 1/3 of your normal distance and slowly increase) since with these you come down on the ball of your feet first instead of your heels. I would recommend these to anyone that wants to get back to a more natural style of running.

These fit true to size. I listened to all the reviews saying they ran small and ordered them a half size too big- well, big mistake! Order them at our normal size and save yourself the hassle of returning them. I am awaiting my new pair, so cannot comment on use yet.

Zappos gave me stellar customer service when I received the wrong shipment. Not only was the person on the phone warm and extremely helpful, but she immediately sent out the correct size before I returned the wrong pair. I had it in a heartbeat. Love these shoes, by the way. I love the feel of being so close to the ground and the roomy toe box that I can't do without. Thank you, Zappos, for being the kind of business that I like to deal with!

I am pretty stoked about this shoe! I was in need of some new athletic shoes and the minimalist concept really made sense to me - so I took a chance. And I am genuinely satisfied with them! I had some calf soreness in the beginning even though I introduced them into my routine slowly and am used to walking barefoot daily. So if anything, take Merrell's advice to heart when they say to break them in a little bit at a time. Other than that, I love how lightweight and comfy they are. Also, I usually wear a 7.5 but I ordered a 8 thanks to the advice of Zappos reviews and the fit is wonderful!! Definitely recommend this shoe.

These shoes are a revelation! After years of wearing thick-soled athletic shoes with mega heel padding, my feet can finally flex and move inside a shoe again! You run and walk more naturally, and a dozen small pains go away as your ankles are released from the unnatural position super-padded shoes put them in.

This is a great shoe. No need to buy two pairs of shoes for running/walking. These shoes are perfect for both. They are very light on your feet and allow you to feel the terrain you are on. Fit true to size with a wide toe box for natural movement of toes.

I have a wide foot, so I didn't think I would be able to wear minimalist shoes, but these fit perfect! FYI - no arch support on purpose. That is the whole idea of this type of shoe. Followed suggestion on how to get use to them and now I could wear them all day! These are great for workouts or just walking around. I feel my feet getting stronger every day.

These shoes changed my life. I had a chronic foot injury from dancing and had the hardest time trying to find a pair of shoes that didn't exacerbate the injury. What my foot most wanted was to be completely flat and spread-out; and these shoes allow that. My physical therapist had recommended that I try the five-finger barefoot shoes. After trying a few of them, I preferred these Merrells because I could wear them out socially as well as exercise in them. I wear them with thin socks. I do not think they are cushioned enough for running on concrete, but they are great for trail or grass running. Also, I have pretty narrow feet and the five-finger shoes were too wide. These are narrow enough to fit my foot well. I wear these shoes as much as possible and absolutely love them.

I bought these shoes yesterday and have already fallen in love with them! I just wore them around all day to try and make sure they were broken in before a trip I am taking in a week and a half, and turns out I did not need to. They felt great from the moment I put them on. However, I am glad I got a chance to try them on before I bought them because I had to go down half a size and wound up going with a totally different color once I saw them on. All in all, it really feels like you are not wearing anything. These are the lightest, most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and I will definitely buy more when these wear out! I am also going to buy a pair for my husband.

I just received my pair of Merrell Barefoot Pace Glove in a 7½ and found them to run small. That was my error in not ordering a size up. I read the previous reviews but I was in a rush to order. Other than that they are just what I wanted.

Just got my shoes tonight - extremely fast delivery, to Hawaii, for free! I love Zappos! The dark shadow color is just as it looks in the picture - very sleek. My usual size 7 in athletic shoes also fit perfectly with socks. This is my first pair of barefoot shoes and I can't believe how light weight they are compared to my usual shoes. Felt comfortable enough around the house. I'll be taking them out for a test walk tomorrow.

New to running and these have been great! Two weeks in and no problems. I'd say true to size. I ordered half size up based on reviews and they would be slightly too big without socks.

Terrific pair of shoes! I did buy 1/2 size larger because of reviews and that was perfect. These shoes are fantastic. Watch the videos on breaking them and your feet in.

This is a fantastic shoe! I like to go barefoot but need some arch support. This is almost barefoot and even my doctor approved of the arch support. I can wear it all day without socks in perfect comfort. They are a bit hard to get on and would prefer a bungee type lace but it still feels so good. I hope they come out with some more intense reddish colors...the reds are a bit pale. Purple and aluminum are great. Thanks Zappos...such quick delivery.

I ordered a half size up and that worked well - I liked these tons better than 5 fingers and also better than Skechers Go runs. The Merrell web page tells you how to ramp up your use of these.

My first pair of "barefoot" shoes and I couldn't be happier. Awesome shoe; consistent with Merrell quality and comfort.

Wonderful shoe for the gym and walking to work. I haven't run in them outdoors yet but love them on the treadmill.
