Great look, minimizes look of size, size nine look like a 7. Great comfort, has support and good feel of the ground. Love this shoe.

I can't say enough good things about this shoe! I love it! I did order smaller size than a regular running shoe but a half size larger than my normal everyday shoe. I have a narrow foot and high arches and this shoe fits wonderfully.

I love these shoes! I had been wanting to try barefoot running for about a year but could not justify buying a new pair of shoes to do it. A year later, I did my research and went with the Merrell Pace Glove. I know you are supposed to slowly transition to running barefoot and so I ran shorter (about two miles) runs for a week or so. I got the knack of it and am now comfortable wearing them every time I run. On size. I do waffle between a 9 and 9½ depending on the make. Based on other reviewers I thought I should maybe size up but feared they would be too big and went with a 9. When I first put them on I thought I had made a mistake but I trounced around the house a bit and was pleasantly surprised. Though I have never worn them, I think these shoes are what ballet shoes must feel like. They conform to your feet, give when they need to without feeling sloppy at all. As for traction I have had no problem at all on slippery rocks and I have tested them to be sure! When they get wet it only gets better. They are, as others have noted, like water shoes. They seem to conform even more to your foot after you have splashed through a few puddles. I do wear them without socks and I think that actually helps with the warmth. I started wearing these in February in Vermont. Your body heat helps warm up the water in the shoe. I have not tried any other barefoot or minimalist shoe so I cannot speak to the competition, but all in all I think these are great and I am never going back to traditional running shoes!

Great running shoes. These are my first barefoot runners. with them I am finally able to achieve the mid-foot strike that I am always fighting to keep with standard runners. Good for my lower back, too. I usually wear an 8.5, but in Merrell I wear a 9 so that my toes are never cramped.

These are great shoes! I have had heel problems and with these shoes, my feet do not hurt after walking. They are very comfortable and light weight.

These are true to size and extremely lightweight. My other running shoes remain unworn in my closet because these are so comfortable! I walk/jog long distances, 10-12 miles and don't even take them off when I get home! Only one downside -- the Vibram soles can become rather slippery on wet surfaces. I did a complete skate on my rump one rainy afternoon when my dog unexpectedly pulled on his leash. I also own the Lithe Barefoot shoe, and it is slightly more water resistant with less slip on the sole. If you feel you need a lot of support, get a regular running shoe; these really feel like barefoot. I have a medium ball but very narrow ankles and heel. I have two pair of the Barefoot Pace and will be getting more!

I wanted to try to 5-fingers shoes, but my toes wouldn't fit in them. So I went with these shoes - they are great! Super light-weight and good for narrow feet. They seem to be up to some wear and tear, too, but I have only run with them on roads (dirt or paved), not trails.

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable because they fit like a glove, hence the name. :) There is a little extra space in the toe box so your toes don't feel squished. If you have a very narrow foot, you may find the toe box to be too wide. I think they look really cute on the foot and make your foot look smaller. I bought the black first and loved them so much I bought a pair in green!

This is my first trail shoe. First of all, if you are a solid size (I'm a 10 and under no circumstance can wear a 9.5) you should consider going up a size. This is the only 10.5 I have ever owned so I know they run a tad small. I waited to review this until I'd been on enough trails to have an opinion. So many reviews say 'so cute!' and 'really comfortable!' but I was looking for a Trail shoe, not something to wear for looks. I had first ordered the other Merrell trail shoe (I think the Lithe Pace Glove) and cannot imagine how anyone would wear that. Rigid, tight and horribly uncomfortable just to wear within my house! So I'd actually ordered NB's trail shoe (the sole came unglued after one run...returned promptly) before deciding to give Merrell one last shot in this department. Glad I did! This trail shoe rocks! So comfy and ventilated. Decent little arch support and super lightweight. I do get compliments on the look of the shoe as well. On the trail, these grip so well and in the events of mud/water holes, these let the water back out and dry quickly! I was skeptical on if I'd even like competitive trail runs given the risk for wet feet but if you're running in these, you're set! The other Merrell trail shoe was waterproof so if the water came in over your shoe, I think you'd have to stop and take it off. Also, these shoes hosed off at the event and dried looking same as new! I got the darker color though. They have a funky smell-something of rubber mixed with the antibacterial liner that's in them...my husband complains he can smell them inside. He will live. I love these shoes! Will definitely stick to this model for future purchases!

The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Over the last couple years I have developed problems with my feet and most shoes. I put these on and do not want to take them off. I am not a runner, but I use them for a variety of other athletic activities and they have quickly become my everyday shoes as well.

These are great little shoes. They are very light, almost like being barefoot. I did not think that they would have enough support for fast paced walking, but I have worn these shoes on my neighborhood walk, and my feet were fine at the end. I have problem feet, so this is really a rave review!

One of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever had. They are a bit pricey but well worth the price.

I bought these for work because they have a very low heel which I need. I bought 1/2 size larger and added an insole which works great since I work on concrete floors all day and my feet feel great. The insole was for extra padding since there isn't much but for everyday use that would be fine. I would highly recommend them.

Love them! Just don't size up even if do do most of the time. You want these to fit like a glove.

By chance I found these in a local store and tried them on. It was love at first wear. My best description is that they are like being barefoot but give you more support. I work out in these, run errands, do house chores etc. I wear them daily and have for over 2 months now. I have bad knees and ankles and these do not cause me any pain. I also have a high arch. I am a true 9.5 and bought these in a 9.5 and they fit with or without socks. Not thick socks but average ones. I am surprised some people have to order up, maybe because of width?

The perfect low profile athletic shoe. I have always preferred feeling the "grounded" when hiking etc... I bought this as a good all-around shoe to take to an upcoming trip to NYC. A sleeker look instead of a bulky running shoe! I have another pair of Merrells and they never require a break-in period. No blisters ever from first wear!

Yes! I have truly awful feet (wide in the front, narrow in the back, bunions and totally flat) and was so happy to find these. I do not run, but walk a lot and occasionally hike. There is generous padding in the shoe bottom right under where my bunions are but they are wonderfully flexible otherwise. The back is flexible and doesn't cut into your feet like many shoes do. I am excited to have a light shoe for the summer to cover up my hideous feet, that isn't gigantic, wide and ugly like most of the comfort shoes I have to wear. Yes!

I used a Nike minimalist shoe before to run and loved it, but when shopping for a new shoe I decided to try this one out since I've relied on Merrell for my hiking and other outdoor shoes. It is comfortable but definitely needed to ease into slowly for running. It's also a good looking shoe and when I wear it out I do get compliments!

I love to cross train in these shoes. They fit so well that my feet don't slide around inside of them, yet they aren't tight on my feet either. It takes some getting used to running in them. I am used to more traditional cushioned running shoes. I would buy these again.

Comfortable minimalist shoe. I may have gone with my usual size 8, but went with 8.5 after reading reviews. Plenty of room in the toes, arch support a little forward, didn't try an 8 on to see if that made a difference. I've worn them to work (school), workout and run, I love them. No break in required.

I don't run, but I wanted a shoe with a 0 degree heel and ordered these. I use them for walking and wearing about the house. Even though there is no cushioned arch support, the way the shoe is shaped and forms to your foot seems to give some support there. I find them very comfortable. I wear a 6 1/2 in most shoes but a 7 in gym shoes and the 7 fits perfectly in these. The look very small and cute on your feet but there is lots of toe room to spread out your toes. I love the elastic at the heel instead of a stiff piece there.

Love these sneaks! Didn't need the "have to get used to them" time at all. Just put them on and running on the treadmill seemed easier than wearing traditional sneakers which are bulkier. I wear size 7.5 to 8, but had to get 8.5 to fit comfortably.

I love these shoes!. I use them to walk for exercise and often found that many shoes were not flexible enough or changed my walking gate causing a sore hip. No issues with these shoes. Also, I am older and feel I have better balance with these shoes. I ordered my normal size shoe and at first I thought maybe they were too tight but found when walking they were just right.

These are fantastic minimalist running shoes. I ordered a size 9, which is my normal shoe size, and it fit perfectly when wearing thin socks. If I wanted to wear them barefoot, I'd order a size down. These purposefully have no arch support.

My daughters (early 20's) introduced me to these running shoes last year, and we all have purchased multiple pairs since. Not because of wear, because of the variety of color combinations. As is always my fear, Merrell will try to improve on an already perfect product, tweak something and ruin the perfect shoe. With or without socks, they rock!
