First off, I'm not a big runner...had problems with knees and shin splints after even short distances but I am barefoot almost constantly. I train in karate and kickboxing barefoot and although I love my stylish heels and wedges am more often in Birkenstocks. So when I started reading about barefoot running I thought it might be better for me and so it was, no pain in knees and no shin splints. Now for the shoes, I wear an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes but the 9 did fit too short, my big toe pushed up to the front too much , so I got the 9.5 instead. This pair fit almost too large but I'd rather be able to move all the toes well, there is plenty of toe box space and yet the fit of the shoe is still snug and comfortable. I have noticed a pressure against the top of my bony feet after a while, but I think relacing might solve that, in any case with a pair of socks it is not noticeable. I have the crystal color and they are super cute.

Have several colors. Wear them for everything. My back never hurts anymore. Tie them properly and they do have arch support. I usually wear 1/2 size bigger 'cause I don't like my toes to rub. Ordered 1/2 size up and are wonderful. I feel they are very true to size. Machine wash (front loader) and air dry. Wish they would come out with a brown and a tan; monotone would be great without stripes, as well.

I absolutely love these shoes! I get compliments on them all the time. They are extremely comfortable and light. If you are between sizes go for the smaller one. You don't wear socks with them, so you want them a little more snug to avoid any rubbing against your feet. Be warned that if you haven't worn barefoot shoes before it takes awhile for your calf muscles to develop, you may be a little sore the first few times you run in them.

As a rule, I love Merrells. These shoes are probably very comfortable for many people, but I couldn't wear them because I could feel the tread on the bottom through the soles (and this was just walking around the house!). (I do have very sensitive feet and a neuroma in the ball of my right foot.) There is very little to no cushioning in the sole, and I need to have something between my feet and the floor/road! They do run a little small...I ordered 1/2 size up and they fit fine. Am returning them today...thank goodness for Zappos' great service and return policy! By the way, I have a pair of very lightweight Ryka running shoes that are much more comfortable, and were much less expensive.

This shoe literally fits like a glove. I ordered my usual size but reordered a half size larger. Thanks once again to Zappos for the free shipping both ways! I've always hated to wear shoes to work out so these are perfect for me. They let your feet balance your body the way they are meant to.

I love these shoes! I wish I had 5 pairs of them. I bought them strictly for running and read all of the advice beforehand about easing them into your program. Even starting with very short runs (10-20 mins), my calves got sore. But running in them felt so natural and comfortable otherwise (on gravel, pavement, rugged trails) that I couldn't go back to my other shoes. It's been more than 3 weeks now and I'm still suffering from calf pain, but I've built up to 5-mile runs (perhaps too quickly, but I'm training for a marathon). Still love the shoes! Note: Following advice from other reviews, I bought shoes a half size up. They felt just a little too big, so I exchanged them for my normal size, which fit well.

Love these shoes! They are lightweight and give great support. I didn't need to break them in or get used to them as some of the other reviewers did. I would love to have several colors!

These are the perfect sneaker for summer! It's super light and very cool! I wear a 6 1/2 W. These don't come in W, so a 7M fits perfectly! Love them!

I love my new Gloves by Merrell. Ordering and shipping is a breeze. It is amazing how they feel on my feet; almost like running barefoot. I'm not a barefoot runner and made the mistake of running too far the first time out. My calves were sore for a day or two, but fine now. The toes have lots of width room. The colors are fun! Try them; you will be sure to like them!

I am not really a serious runner, just do it for fitness and run about 5-10 miles per week. With regular (expensive) running shoes I was getting knee and ankle problems. Then by chance I noticed that running my my Uggs (which are flat) seemed to work better, so I started looking into barefoot running. Now that I am using these barefoot shoes while running, I am not getting those twinges in knees and ankles. Not sure it is because of the shoes, but suspect it might be. These are really good shoes, and I am glad I bought them.

Love these shoes. As always Zappos is spot on for service! I normally wear size 9 or 9.5 and I ordered size 9.5 and they fit perfect. These are like being barefoot. If you are looking for support, you will not find it here. These force your feet to do what God intended them for...love these shoes! Get lots of compliments on the color as well.

I just purchased the Merrell Barefoot and would like to wear them every day! I am 65years old and love the fact that a shoe can look great on anyone.

Love the colors! I bought these for everyday wear. I read the review about ordering 1/2 size up so I did and even with a thin athletic sock, these were too big. The toe box is wider than other brands I've been wearing (Dansko, Keen), but I think the smaller size will help!

These pace glove shoes are the most comfortable, supportive and fun shoe I own. Puts all the clodhopper new balance shoes to shame. The elastic back is inspired and no heel rubbing.

This is my first pair of "barefoot" shoes and I have to say that had these been available 20 years ago my body wouldn't be in the state it's in today. I have a flat foot which means my foot, although narrow, spreads when it hits the ground. The toe box on these shoes is perfect and lets my toes do what they normally can't in a traditional shoe: spread. The lack of arch support is perfect. I don't have an arch--why would I want one artificially created which then throws off my gait resulting in painful hips and knees? We went to Yosemite recently and I wore these exclusively. Were my legs tired after walking up mountains all day? Absolutely, yes, but it wasn't because of my shoes; and in fact, I was able to go longer and farther simply BECAUSE my feet didn't hurt. I will be ordering a second pair this week!

These are wonderful minimalist/barefoot shoes. I love how they hug my heel but leave plenty of toe space. I am a dancer and have wider feet, but these shoes fit me in just the right way. NO breaking in whatsoever--they feel natural from the first wear and I easily walked 2 miles on the second day wearing them! They are minimalist though, which means lack of arch support; and for those of you new to this style, your feet might need some TLC at first. However (and you can read the health benefits for yourself), overall this will improve the strength in your feet and get rid of arch problems as you build a stronger foot with complimentary leg muscles. After debating between a few colors, I got the orange and I'm in LOVE with the boldness!! Fabulous color choices overall.

I started running for the first time in my life at age 61 four weeks ago. I did a lot of research first on barefoot running and minimal running shoes. I love these Pace Gloves. I rarely wear shoes in the house so I'm very used to the feel of minimal footwear. I love the feel of the contact when I'm running on the local boardwalk. I wear a size 8 but had to send that size back and reorder a size 8.5 because they were too tight around the toes. Zappos did the exchange smoothly and quickly.

I was looking for a basic around-town shoe, and was also thinking about a new pair of running shoes, so I was super excited to find these! They are great, they feel like dance sneakers; very cute. They are comfortable right away, but do take getting used to when compared to cushier shoes.

I wish I had known about these sooner. They are light, comfortable, breathable, and all around fabulous! I walk 4 miles a day and these beat any other shoe I have ever had.

I absolutely love this shoe! I'm usually a 9 1/2 or 10 and had to go with a 10 in this shoe. Plenty of room in the toe box in shoe, as some of the other barefoot Merrell's I've tried were on the small side. I use it for out and about walking, weight lifting and kenpo.

It's very lightweight, molds to my foot, it feels great and I'm quite happy with this sneaker. I prefer this style of sneaker instead of the bulky ones, I'm very happy with it and have worn them about 7 times already, just got them. I bought the Caribbean colors blue & yellow, pretty!

Love this shoe! I bought it for jazzercise, but it was so comfortable and light, I decided to make it an everything shoe. Great for travel with lots of walking.

I had quite a time with quality control and had to get three pairs before the shoes finally fit correctly. On the first pair the top of the shoe pulled to the side on the left one. On the second pair of shoes the arch support in the bottom was about ¼" farther up towards the toes than normal, and finally I ended up changing colors and got this pair in lavender and they were winners with none of those problems. I do not know if it was a fluke or what but these fit great and I wore them today. They are minimalist shoes and hug your feet close like you are almost barefoot. I used to have a pair of track shoes I loved and these are very similiar in how they feel. They are very light and airy and I wore them without socks and no blisters or soreness the very first day. Thanks to Zappos for exchanging the shoes three times completely hassle free. You guys are the best.

This is a very comfortable shoe. It is the next best thing to going barefoot. I love this color combination and have gotten many compliments on it, mostly from strangers. This color combination coordinates so nicely with the blues and berries that are so popular this season.

Love these shoes. Very lightweight and comfortable. Even though they are lightweight they have great foot support. I do usually wear an 8 1/2 and had to order a 9 which fit great.
