I wanted so much for these shoes to fit perfect, but alas they do not. I ended up trying 3 different sizes - 7.5, 8, 8.5- when I normally run 7.5. I decided to keep the 8.5 despite developing blisters on the soles of both my feet after a 3 mile run in them. To put this in context I have been running in Vibram Five-Fingers and doing many long (8+ miles) hikes for about a year and a half. I also have a pair of thin-soled Saucony sneakers that I run in too. I am no stranger to minimalist footwear and will even do Crossfit workouts in just socks. I like my feet to be free! I am going to keep the 8.5 and slowly get my feet used to them but I was certainly not able to put these on straight out of the box and do distance running. I had even toyed with trying a Men's size 6 to see if their design was better for my feet. That being said, many people do not seem to have issue with these shoes at all and sing praises about them. Wish I were one of them.

Wanted to like this shoe, but not enough arch support, and it felt too hot on my foot. Didn't breathe well enough to wear without socks.

Do not buy this shoe unless you are a true terrain hiker and live in a hot climate. I live in Alaska and this shoe is horrible if you are in any form of rain. You are not suppose to wear socks when wearing this shoe, and the result if horrible raw blisters. I honestly only think that the other time that I would wear this shoe is as a water shoe! I wish I could return it and get my money back! :(

I'm 53 and have very wide feet - so wide that I can't consider wearing 98% of the shoes out there. Also - for years I went to a specialist running shop that tried to 'fix' my wonky gait with expensive shoes that ended up ruining my shins, knees and hips. Then I decided to go with a minimum shoe that let me run in the wonky way I was made and didn't cram my substantial footprint into a rigid shoe. I no longer have numb toes, shin knee and hip pain other than what would be normal for a 53 year old trying to run. Not a miracle - but this is definitely a great shoe for me. This is the 4th Merrell style I tried and all make me more comfortable walking and running. I would like to see more colors in wide widths - I want to be fabulous too.

For the past couple years I have been wearing super supportive Salomons (which I still love), but wanted to try some barefoot shoes. I was worried about how my back would hold up as I have chronic back pain due to scoliosis. The Merrell Barefoot Pace Gloves were great! I had a blister on one heal as my feet adjusted to not wearing socks but otherwise, I have been wearing them to the gym, hiking and walking and they have been wonderful! After wearing high heels to work all week my toes are squashed, but when I wear these shoes my toes are more spread out when I take them off!

Finally, after at least 5 different pairs of shoes...I found the perfect running shoe. This shoe really does fit like a glove. It's pretty amazing how comfortable they feel on my feet. I ran over 5 miles in them this morning and they felt great the whole time (road/trail running). I have high arches and wide feet, I sized up to an 8.5 (usually wear an 8) and picked normal width (since they were out of wide) and they actually fit perfectly. I am so happy with these shoes! Thank you Merrell! Thank you Zappos!

I work at a doggy daycare. I am constantly on my feet, running across concrete (polished and unpolished). I am also getting wet a lot spraying down the yard and filling the wading pools, playing in the sprinklers with the dogs. I need a shoe that was comfortable, great traction, breathable and that would dry quickly when wet and also be lightweight when wet. I FOUND IT. These shoes are great. I ordered a size 9, since I am somewhere between an 8.5 and a 9 usually. They are a little snug over the top of my foot, but I am simply used to wearing loose-fit shoes. They fit perfectly on my feet. Plus, comes in my favorite color- ORANGE. :)

The Barefoot Pace Glove lived-up to your description. It is comfortable, supportive, and attractive. It has become my first choice for footwear when I dress for my day.

This is a great shoe. I was looking for something to walk around in that wouldn't be so clunky with jeans and shorts. This is it! If you're used to wearing a lot of shoe, it'll be an adjustment. That being said, it's got a lot more arch support than expected. Super grippy, super flexible, super breathable (can feel a little whoosh even with socks). And, I got the peacock blue/mint, which is a ton of fun.

These are the best shoes I have ever put on my feet. I go barefoot a great deal of the time so adjusting isn't much of an issue. I walk instead of run because I have both knees replaced. I feel secure and much more intouch with the ground. I would recommend these shoes for anyone.

I'm not a runner and have been looking for a comfortable walking shoe for my upcoming vacation. I was in the Merrell store and found these. They had it in my size (10 1/2) so I tried it on. The toe box is very wide, so it is super comfortable if you have a bunion or in my case a little toe that you stubbed. I have worn them for several days - all day to work - and have found them to be comfortable all day. I love that I can wear them without socks and my feet won't feel hot and sweaty. I think they will be great for all of my activities on my vacation because of the great tread on them and their comfort.

I love these shoes as they fit me like a glove. I wasn't sure what size so I ordered the 8.5 which is what I usually wear in sport shoes, I wear an 8 in regular Merrells, and they fit perfectly and required no breaking in. I wear them to the gym, around town and on walks on sidewalks on trails. In summer I walk at night with my dogs and with these shoes I can really feel the trail and sidewalk so feel much steadier on my feet. I wear these without socks and even leave them on in the house as they are better than barefoot.

This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Everytime I walk I feel like I am getting a massage.

I don't usually write a review, however, I am making an exception. I walk daily and I have a pair of Merrell Barefoot shoes that I love and wear daily. I am afraid that when I do wear them out the style will no longer be available, therefore, I purchased another pair exactly like my first pair and am putting them away to save so I won't be without my favorite walking shoe.

I love these shoes but unfortunately they run short, but I have already worn them. I love Merrell shoes, I have had at least 15 pairs and this is the first time that this has happened.

I love these shoes for walking. I've tried to run short distances in them, and it's just too much for my calves. But, they are low profile and super comfortable and make walking more of a work out! You can really feel your legs afterwards! I can also comment on their good durability, I've had mine over a year and they've held up very well. I am very pleased with this and they look way better than the vibram 5 finger shoes!

Love these! Gave me a blister on my ankle the first day but haven't had one since for some reason. They are the next best thing to being barefoot! Love the colors too! I bought them for the elliptical, and they are great for that, but now I wear them everywhere!

Love these! I wear them for walking outside, and hiking/fishing when I want something waterproof that dries quickly. Super lightweight and comfortable. Order up a half size, I usually wear 8-8 1/2 and I got a 9.

Love these shoes, love their minimalistic personality, love that I can chuck them into the washer when they're dirty, love the four pairs I own, and saving up for some more in different colors. I've been barefoot most of my life when possible, and these are great. Don't like them without socks...but then, I don't like any shoes without socks. Am wearing the summer weight shortie socks, and these are all day shoes.

I wanted a comfortable shoe for long distance walking in Europe, and I did not want to wear the typical "tennis shoe." This barefoot is perfect. Was encouraged to get a 1/2 size larger, and that really worked for me. I'm ready to order another pair.

My first Merrell Barefoot shoes were a pair of Wonder Gloves in black. They are an adorable, lightweight mary jane shoe. But they are not made for walking on rock trails. So I ordered the Pace Glove and I feel the same way about them that I feel about Zappos and Merrell - love them! I ordered size 7.5 in the Dark Shadow color and they coordinate with my ever-growing collection of grey workout clothes. I'm not usually a purple person but the dark purple accents are awesome. The fit felt a little tight at first at the tip of my big toe but after wearing them for about two weeks, they feel better. I have a slightly wide foot but these to do not bind in any way. These shoes "hug" my feet and because of that, I'll say they have moderate arch support (though the point is that they are not really supposed to). They are light, sexy and comfortable. I couldn't ask for a better shoe or a better seller (I heart Zappos!).

I just received these today and they are very comfortable. I normally wear a size 8 but after reading some of the reviews I purchased the 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I also got them as a nice shoe to pack for traveling instead of the big bulky athletic shoes that I would normally have to wear on the plane. I also like the fact that you can wash them and just let them hang dry. My daughter also has a pair and she washed hers in the washing machine and they came out just fine. I highly recommend this shoe.

These Merrell barefoots (I have two versions) are the most comfortable athletic shoes I have ever had. I have had trouble walking long distances in other shoes -- the balls of my feet would ache so bad I would stop -- but not with these! They fit - yes - like a glove and are so comfortable and easy to wear for extended periods.

Love these shoes. This is my second pair. It's a well named product, and closely replicates the experience of being barefoot!
