Fantastic! This shoe makes me feel young and free. I wondered how a shoe company could charge this much for the experience of going barefoot, but there is a lot of design in this shoe. They put a sole on the bottom of your foot, and none of the rest of the shoe gets in the way. I wear a 9.5 usually, sometimes a 9. In this shoe, I needed the smaller size, so I'd recommend ordering down if you are between sizes.

I have wide feet and a very hard time finding comfortable shoes. These were wonderful right out of the box and so cute! Love them!

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable and look great with jeans around town. I am biking in them too as I can feel the pedal and like the feel. As advertised, these are minimally supportive but are amazingly comfortable. I wear a size 5 and Zappos has all but transformed my life! I actually don't have to hoard shoes that I don't really like that I find in stores as I now have a true selection online. Zappos customer service is simply unparalleled -- truly outstanding.

Jumped on the barefoot running bandwagon and considered getting a pair of Vibram 5-Fingers, but just couldn't pull the trigger because they are so unflattering. This shoe fills the bill as it is stylish and functional. They protect your feet while also being as light as a feather. Don't even really know you are wearing shoes. Just love them and ordered another pair.

Love these shoes! I did feel a little bit of soreness as I transitioned into the whole "barefoot" thing, but that's normal. These shoes are really comfortable -- they give your foot room to be an actual foot, rather than molding it into a non-foot shape. I have sciatica problems, and these shoes force me to really feel the ground and move naturally, so they've improved my back pain a bit. (So has my physical therapy!)

Like others, I found this shoe smaller than expected. I grew up dancing ballet, and I like short shoes because I'm less likely to trip over my own feet. But my toes were right up against the toe box with my usual size 9.5. I ordered a 10, and have not stopped wearing them! They're incredibly light and flexible, and they do subtly change your stance. I find myself naturally pulling my shoulders down and tummy in. I have no idea why. But I love these shoes, and I'm going to order another pair, because my favorite shoes inevitably get discontinued. Oh yeah, great with my orthotics!

These shoes are so lightweight and comfortable. Easy to wear from the first time I put them on. I read reviews before I purchased and bought 1/2 size larger than normal. That fit great.

While I thought these were going to be a slip-on type shoe they arrived with long laces, so no slip-on but the shoes are immediately comfortable and very breatheable. I recommend these.

I had bad shin splints and was out of running and long distance walking for 4 wks. I then decided to try these out and love them! I have stayed injury free and slowly working my way back to were I left off! These are comfortable and love how they look!

I waffled for quite some time after reading the reviews on wheather to get these shoes or not, and what size to get. I decided to go with my normal size, which is 9.5. For me, these shoes fit true to size. My foot is of medium width, and these shoes fit like a glove. It's a very snug, but comfortable fit. They are easier to get on than I thought they would be, given they literally fit like a glove. These shoes are amazing to walk around in! They do not feel like any other shoes. Firm arch support, and they definitely force you to walk on the ball of your foot. I recommend no socks or very thin socks, as these shoes are meant to fit close. They are lightweight and good-looking, as well.

Okay, I've only had these shoes for a week and haven't quite put them through their paces yet, but I'm already a huge fan. These shoes are nice and snug (though not uncomfortably so) in the heel and arch (and I have a fairly high-volume foot), but incredibly roomy in the toe box. I couldn't stop waggling my toes around up there! The shoe is contoured to your arch, but I don't think it offers much in the way of actual support. Which is fine with me. They are made to be worn sockless, but after wearing them for a day at work I found them a little sweaty and hot-spot-y, so I've been wearing them with very thin running socks, which I have found very comfortable (although it means I can't waggle my toes around in that huge toe box the way I could without socks). I've only worn these for a very short run so far (a couple of miles) but they felt just as comfortable as my regular running shoes (lightweight Saucony Kinvaras) on the tarmac. (Your mileage may vary - I am a lifelong forefoot striker.) They're also quite good-looking - not dressy, obviously, but I have no problem wearing these as a street sneaker with a pair of jeans or cords. I usually wear an 8 in street shoes and an 8.5 in running shoes, and I found the 8.5 most comfortable in these as well (I tried the 8 but my toes bumped up against the front - not immediately uncomfortable but I didn't want to take the chance). The shoes seem well-made; one thing that I wouldn't have expected is that I can't get them off without untying them... maybe they tie further up than I'm used to? Anyway, I think these are going to be my barefoot gateway drug. I can't wait to do some hiking in them and see how they perform on the trail. They're like a fabulous ballet slipper/trail shoe hybrid and they make my feet very happy.

Love this shoe. So many hard-to-find features all in one - lightweight (6 oz.), flexible in the extreme, designed to fit the shape of the foot rather than passing fads, low heel, soft slightly elasticized back of the heel which prevents pressure point from developing, odor free, washable and good looking. However, there are two horizontal fixed fabric bands across the instep that are threaded through the top eyelets which make the shoe a slip-on rather than a lace-up since they prevent the shoe from being opened wider and I had to unwillingly alter these bands to accommodate my high arch. Will definitely purchase more and hope Merrell never discontinues.

When I first tried these on, I thought the elastic around the heel and the stationary straps across the top of the foot did not give enough, so it was kinda difficult to slip the shoe on my foot. I was going to return, but after wearing around the house for a bit, it was okay and not too tight. However, I do think the shoe is a half size too small (too short). Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until after I wore them for a long walk and couldn't exchange.

I love the fit of the toes in these shoes, but with a somewhat high in-step, it's nearly impossible to get on. It would be a problem at the TSA or for a quick-change at the gym.

Very comfortable. I wear these for my daily run and for golf. I don't usually like to wear athletic shoes everywhere I go. They did rub my heel raw after my first few runs but after a couple days of rest, they are fine now.

This shoe is pretty comfy. The only thing is that the sole curves upward at the toe so when standing it puts a bit of a crease in it from the tip towards heal. Looks a little strange.

These shoes were just a tad too small without socks and with toenails trimmed to the quick. I wish I could keep them, because they felt really nice (except for my tip-toes, which were jammed against the front). The color I wanted isn't available in a half-size larger, so... meh. Considering Zappos lets customers' email address fall into the hands of spammers, I've probably just loaded up my inbox with more male enhancement ad spam because of this order.

These shoes are so comfortable. I don't like black athletic shoes at all, but like the other colors even less so these had to do (doctor's orders). Thankfully the comfort makes up for the lack of style options. They really are that comfortable. I'd buy more if they came in something that went with anything I own!

I ordered almost $1000 of shoes and this was the only one that "fit" that was comfortable. I say "fit" because I have it laced tightly and it looks funny because of my narrow foot and also because it meets what my doctor wants it to accomplish. I don't care for the style but it was literally the only one that I could wear and it is really comfy. I just with there were other colors - like something in white with a little grey that would go with anything.

I am a relatively new fan to Merrell shoes, but I have two pairs as of now. I started off with the Bare Access Arc 2, which I love, but wanted to venture into the more barefoot feel ones. Additionally, when I purchased my BAA2, I was told to go into a larger size than I am used to (I normally wear a 10, was told to buy a 10.5 and did and have regretted it ever since as they are slightly too large). WIth that being said, I wanted to purchase these in my normal shoe size (a 10).
I really do like these shoes. Despite not having much under your feet in terms of arch support or padding, they feel good. They're very lightweight and, when used correctly, will help strengthen your feet over time. They also give great grip onto any surface, indoor or outdoor, and are surprisingly sturdy feeling. The 10 on my right foot feels perfect; unfortunately on my left foot, the 10 feels the slightest bit snug as one of my toes hits the front with nearly every step. I am willing to chalk this up to the fact that they are new and may need some time to conform to my feet and to really break in. However, with this style I do sort of wish I had gone with a 10.5, although I feel it would have been too big on my right foot.
With all of this being said: if you are looking for the next transition shoe into barefoot running from something that is already more minimalist than the big clunky athletic shoes, this is an excellent choice. I love the way they look, and the feel, while very minimalist and will take some getting used to, feels good.
Also loved that they were on sale, and love Zappos customer service!

These shoes are super-comfortable. I use them for everyday wear, not for running. I've had a number of the other barefoot styles, and I like these best because they are so breathable (my others were leather). My feet don't get hot at all. The laces stay tied, too. I'm not a fan of the stripes on the side, but that's okay. I recommend them highly.

These shoes are very pretty and fit comfortably. They have good arch support, and are true to size. The only problem I have with them, is that there are two straps below the laces, towards the front of the tongue, that are connecting each side of the shoe. This section is difficult to fit foot through, and makes the laces pointless. Once I squeeze in though, the fit is very comfortable.

A bit skeptical about these 'gloves' when I ordered them, and was very pleasantly surprised with the comfort and fit. They are as close to being barefoot as I have ever worn in a shoe.
