Outstanding shoe! Comfortable out of the box, they almost feel like slippers. These are appropriate for wearing all day in a casual work environment. But what really was amazing was how they handled on runs, especially trails. I'm a seasoned distance runner on both roads and trail and run both barefoot and with sneakers, and these were the best of both worlds. My form was indistinguishable from when I run barefoot, but they gave just enough protection that the occasional sharp rock didn't hurt, and they had the advantage of spectacular traction on the trails. I can't believe how much faster I ran in these, with the removed threat of puncturing my foot, but the remaining ground feel to let you know if you're cheating to the heal strike. Significantly more comfortable than the five-fingers, even though I have monkey toes. Sizing seemed true. If anything, size up. I'm between an 8.5 and a 9 and have been happy with the 9. I couldn't recommend these more!

I really love these shoes. I walk at least a few miles per day and my shins were killing me. In desperation, I decided to try barefoot style shoes. I ordered these and my form and range of motion must be much better because I don't have any more pain. I am very happy with them. I can now walk longer and faster. Who knew I just needed to be barefoot? They do run tight though, if you have wide feet. Because the top pieces are sown in, they are not adjustable like regular shoes.

This shoe is definitely comfortable, because it's so flexible. I have wide feet and generally wear an 8.5W, but in this case the 8.5 was too small - you definitely need to order a half size up. The 9 fit me perfectly. I always wear socks with these shoes. Didn't have to break them in or anything, and am very comfortable wearing them the whole day. Chili pepper is not as bright or red as the picture seems, the stripes are a nice dark red and the front part is light gray covering the red. It's nice.

These shoes are great! they allow your feet to move, but have plenty of structure in the soles of the shoes for support. I have very flat feet, and even the most comfortable shoes hurt my feet after about an hour of walking. But I can walk, and stand, in these shoes for hours without pain!

These are great! No one can tell you're not just wearing an ordinary pair of tennis shoes! I was having hip pain, but I received these and took a walk...my pain started fading. The cheap and skeptical part of me wonders how different these really are from aqua socks, but they certainly look better. This much better? Not sure.

These are the best shoes I have ever purchased. I bought them for a weekend trip to the city. Walked around for four days and loved them. Lightweight, flexible and super comfortable. I usually wear a 9 but needed a 9 1/2 in them. Roomy toe box. And you can throw them in the washer. I want them in lavender too. Better than barefoot.

These are hands-down the best shoes I've ever owned. I wear them all the time, including for running and hiking, and they've been great. I wanted a pair of shoes that would offer the benefits of the Vibram Five Fingers, but the look of a cute, feminine sneaker, and these fit the bill! Just enough of a sole that you feel protected, but still a good feel of the ground, and I like that I can wear a thin pair of socks with them. They have great traction, even on mud and wet grass. At first I'd worried that I'd gone too large with a size 6.5, but re-lacing gave a nice, snug fit around the arch, with no slipping through the heel. I have noticed that my feet have gotten a bit more muscular since wearing them, so I am glad I didn't go smaller. I wear between a 6 and a 6.5 normally. The toe box is wide, which is nice. They do take a little bit to break in to the point where they fit like a glove, but are quite comfortable from the start. Take it easy on your first couple runs if you're not used to barefoot shoes, to let your feet and legs adjust. The only drawback is that they are a little difficult to get on and off quickly.

These are the best shoes. Comfortable, supportive, very light in weight. I wear them all the time!

I am wearing these shoes as I write. They prove to be very comfortable for a hot summer in Florida. Cool on the feet and almost a "barefoot" feeling. I purchased my normal size, but believe I might have gone a 1/2 size larger as they are not easy for me to slip on. But they are great for a gym workout and I might even buy another pair!

Love 'em! Light and comfortable. Have worn for walking, hiking and golfing.

This is a perfect travel shoe - light weight, but very comfortable with support enough for long walks or hikes.

I was looking for a minimalist shoe to help recover foot muscles from a recent foot surgery. To be honest, in my vanity I could not remotely consider the Vibram toe shoes. I was quite excited to have discovered these and have loved them since the moment I put them on. Light weight, roomy toe box, slight arch support, fun colors, and it looks like a normal shoe! Wonderful investment and I am saving for a second pair.

It is really like a glove, so don't expect the same that you would from an ordinary shoe. First I felt it a little small at my toes and a bit high at the arch, but soon I got used to it, and I wouldn't choose any other type. I hope it will serve me (and many others) well for a long time.

My daughter loves this shoe and it is feather light! Her calves were getting a workout initially but now it is all good. And Zappos is fabulous! Had my shoes the day after I ordered them!

Wow! Instant comfort and lightweight style and I love the heightened awareness they bring to my long city walks. I loved these so much I came back to Zappos the next day and ordered the Mens Barefoot Trail Glove by Merrell for my honey. I am usually an 8 or 8.5, so I went with the 8.5 based on what other reviewers said. Perfect!

Have side effects on my feet from chemo treatments, these shoes allow me to walk without wanting to cry from the pain of pressure on my feet. I love these shoes!

These are wonderful! I have the Vibram Five Fingers water shoes, and was looking for a terrestrial version of the same thing, without the aggravating five toe slots. The Merrell's are protective, but flexible. The instep support is a subtle means to prevent your feet from rolling in, which is apt to happen when really barefoot. I have not tried rock hopping in them, but otherwise they are real ATVs.

This shoe is the most amazing running shoe ever! It is beautiful and light weight. Flexible and breathable shoe that is unique and flexible. It fits like a glove, smooth running is guaranteed. I have small foot, size 5. I instead got a half size bigger, which ended up being a good decision. Perfect toe room and comfort.

Love these shoes. Fit very well. I usually wear a 7.5, so I ordered a 7.5. The fit is perfect. I can wear without socks or with thin socks.

Love these shoes! I use them for walking, without socks. Plenty of room in the toe bed. No blisters. After my first wear I immediately ordered another pair as back up. Ended up going 1/2 size larger than my usual shoes.

Run, don't walk, in these shoes. Finally, I am running! The Merrell Pace Glove is low weight and super supportive. I read the book Born to Run last spring (2010) and 1 week later, I promptly sprang my right ankle and foot after slipping on icy back stairs in high heels. I got back to unassisted walking about 2 months later with physical therapy. But I still couldn't run - I tried shoe after shoe, including vibram fivefinger. Not until I tried the Merrell Pace Glove could I run without my right heel giving out. I think that this is due to the supportive elastic on the top edge at the back of the shoe. Also I ran in the pose recommended by the manufacturer in the book Natural Running. I am a 54 year old female and I had only walked previously for exercise.

So comfortable and make my feet look small. I adore them. One cavat is bad for walking long distances over sharp gravel at the end of a hike. Otherwise they cant be beat. But how long will they last?

I have to wear a supportive insert as my feet are too bony but the shoe relaxes your body and angles your hips nicely to relieve any pain. Greatly appreciated.
