These are wonderful shoes, feel better than barefoot! I wear and 8 1/2 to a 9 usually so I ordered a 9 and it is perfect, giving the extra room you need at the toes. I am anxious to do some distance walking in them as I have heard they really help your feet and legs. And Zappos is the best, I ordered them one afternoon and had them the next day! How amazing is that?

I bought the Merrell Barefoot Pace Glove because a friend had recommended them for traveling - lightweight and comfortable, they are perfect for packing. He was right! However, I went by all the suggestions in the reviews and bought a size larger than normal but they were huge on me. Of course Zappos is great about returns so I just ordered another pair and returned the big ones. The size 8's fit perfectly and made it through France and the UK like champs! I love these shoes. I haven't tried running in them yet but I am sure I will eventually. For now they are just my go-to's for Saturday morning farmer's market visits and overseas travel.

These shoes are awesome! Soft, light, super flexible, fit like a glove, almost like not wearing shoes. I am using it for stretching classes at the gym. And just walking around to do errands on weekends. Your customer service cannot be beat.

I like these right out of the box. They are great for my wide feet. I've been walking, not running in them so far, but find them very comfortable.

Love them! I usually run in Vibrams, but these shoes give me a similar stride, so I think I can use them for trail running. Plus, I can wear them around town and not get funny looks.

I bought these for our trip to FL. We spent a lot of time in the water exploring the estuary in front of our condo building as well as the beach areas. I did not want to get stung by a sting ray and wanted to make sure I did not get cut or encounter anything else in the water that might hurt my feet. These shoes fit my feet perfectly with nice arch support. They wash and dry easily. Very happy! We even did a short hike in them. No problems, but I would do a long hike in them unless you were going to be walking through water.

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them! Very lightweight and very comfortable.

Awesome minimalist shoe for running and other outdoor activities. THe only down fall is they are pretty dang expensive for a shoe that is comprised of virtually nothing but I will purchase another pair when the time comes.

Nolded perfectly to my narrow foot, but I wasn't able to get them in my size. Since they were intended to be worn barefoot, I expected that if I ordered my normal size it would fit, but they were too big. Would have fit with socks. Would still recommend them to anyone!

I love these sneakers! They are very comfortable and sleek. They look really cute with work-out wear or jeans.

Terrific for minimalist running. But do your homework and learn to run barefoot properly first. I tried Vibram Five Fingers, great on trails but cause foot strain on pavement. These are next best thing as an absolute minimal shoe. Midfoot 'support' oddly noticeable when walking but disappears when you run. Rubbed a bit on ankle but this is common for me due to old soccer injuries. I wear them for running and everyday errands, love them, lots of compliments. Close fit if barefoot; I would go up 1/2 or 1 size if you prefer socks or roomy toes for running.

I love these shoes! I have been bitten by the minimalist bug. I have been running in minimalist shoes for the past 4 months. Being a nurse, I wanted to find a shoe that I could wear to work everyday that had a barefoot feel. The pace glove is perfect and stylish. I have been wearing them with Injinji toes socks for extra comfort. I read a lot of the reviews posted and decided the order a half size up as suggested. Perfect fit with lots of room in the toe box. These are worth every penny!

The fit: I originally bought my normal shoe size. They fit the shape of my feet just fine, but my toes hit the end. So I returned them and bought a half-size larger. My feet are slightly wide and I have high arches, but that wasn't a problem. I adjusted the laces until there were no pinchie spots and the shoes fit perfectly. The fit got even better after wearing them for a few days. I have never owned any Merrells before, so I don't know how they compare. The quality: I have owned these shoes for about a month now. I am not a runner, but I wear these whenever possible. The shoe feels very well-constructed and I have not noticed any loose threads or signs of wear. The comfort: I frequently experience mild/moderate heel pain and wavered for a while over whether to buy therapeutic shoes or "barefoot" shoes. Opposite ends of the shoe support spectrum, but both were recommended. These have definitely helped. Whether they help more or less than therapeutic shoes I cannot say, but I am glad I went with these. They are less bulky and more stylish. They make me feel much lighter on my feet and more agile than normal running shoes. They are also much less constricting in the toe area, which is a big deal for me. Surprisingly (or maybe not) they have alleviated some.

Love these shoes! They were comfy the minute I put them on no breaking in necessary. I have almost flat feet and these are super comfy. I recommend these shoes for everyday, trail walking/running, and treadmill running. There isn't enough shock absorption for me to run on pavement with them since I have bad knees. However I have worn them to work and have not had any issues (I work 8+ hours on my feet on concrete floors).

I was nervous about transitioning to barefoot running but this a great enhancement to my running!

I found these shoes are true to size for me. I ordered my regular size and they fit well, even in the toe box for my wide feet. They feel great and make my big feet look smaller.

These shoes are great. The size was right on... love them for running and working on the elliptical!

I love this shoe. I use it for everything, working out, casual everyday wear, and I wear it to work (I am a teacher). The yellow color is very nice for summer. The fit is fantastic and I love the Merrell barefoot shoes; this is my 3rd pair. I have 2 pairs of pure gloves and I love those as well. I only wear barefoot shoes now; nothing feels as good. My feet are healthier now than they have been in a long time.

These shoes are fantastic. I took the time to read other Zappos reviews before buying, and they met and exceeded expectations. I'm a competitive rower so need a flat-footed "glove" to ensure no energy is displaced - and this shoe is perfect for that. But above and beyond using this for rowing, I find it's so comfortable I use it regularly, everyday life. My crew team is steadily making this shoe a team favorite! Note: I have very narrow feet, particularly in the heel -- the design of this shoe and the lace-up system still allows this to fit my foot like a glove. I went up a half size for extra toe room, with no problem.

I ordered a half size up based on the reviews here and I don't think these shoes run small. I wear a 9 running shoe and ordered the 9.5 and it is too big. I have narrow feet and I am worried the toe box is too wide for me.

Love 'em. If you're new to "barefoot running," take care not to do too much too quickly. I made that mistake, and my calves really paid for it. I'm building up distance more gradually now.
