I bought these for a biking trip to France. I biked up to 30 miles a day wearing these and walked all over sightseeing. Super comfy! I did wear light socks with them but it is not necessary.

If you're into barefoot shoes, these Merrells are a great option. They're stylish and certainly look less weird than Vibrams. Very roomy toe box. I felt like my feet could "breathe". Very comfortable and lightweight. I use them in my Insanity workouts and to go to and from yoga class.

These are wonderful shoes! Fit is comfortable and adjustable. For shoes that are so flexible and feel "soft," they are surprisingly rugged. I have walked up to 5 miles on rocky trails with no bruising. You can feel the terrain is irregular, but somehow it doesn't hurt. I have a problem with many shoes rubbing on the heel, but the elastic in the heels of these is comfortable and keeps my heel seated.

Exceptionally comfortable shoe. It takes a few wears to adapt to the way it feels, but after a couple of days, you won't want to wear anything else! The shoe doesn't exactly have any arch support, but because it lets your foot fall naturally, it doesn't flatten the foot either. I have flat feet, and so far, my arches haven't collapsed while wearing them.

These are the best running shoes ever. I am training for my first marathon and after I increased the distances I run, I began to develop bloody blisters after 5-9 miles of running. I changed socks, I changed 3 different brands of shoes (without any positive result) when finally I have found Merrell. At that day, I went for 10 mile run to try them. They are awesome! They had no weight, no pressure anywhere on my feet and toes. No all my blisters are gone. My every practice is a pure joy and pleasure. I am sure that these shoes are the best for people who practice a front foot running technique.

I love these shoes, and I love Zappos' service! They run small, but when I finally got the right size, it felt like walking barefoot. They are also very cute. I got them in two colors. I do wish they came in more dark colors. It is too easy to get lighter colors dirty.

I loved these sneakers (got them in Dark Shadow) and was really hoping to make them work. They were very cute, but I have wide feet, and unfortunately, they weren't quite wide enough for me. I had also bought the Barefoot Pure Glove which I found to run wider than the Barefoot Pace and I ultimately kept these instead.

I had Vibram five fingers, and loved them for running, but wearing them for more than five or six hours a day hurt my little toe. I got these for a trip through India and SE Asia, hoping I could run, walk and hike in them. And I did! And they were comfortable to wear all day, though your feet may get sore if you aren't used to them. While they weren't amazing for hard-core hiking, they were great for most of the hiking we did, climbing on and over boulders and through streams and up and down mountains and such. They didn't have as good a grip as hiking boots, but I could grip fairly well with my feet because of the flexible sole. My only disappointment was that the toe span wasn't quite wide enough for me, but my toe span is very, very wide.

The Merrell barefoot pace glove is a great running shoe. I had to wear it around the house for a few days until I got used to the new feel of this shoe and decided I would definitely keep it. I wear this shoe for running dog agility and it does give me the barefoot feel. I am usually running agility on dirt or grass and the shoe was great on both.

These are great shoes to walk in -- they don't quite feel a full half size larger than other Merrells I have of the same size, but the toe area does feel wide and a bit larger. Even more so than other Barefoot styles. Overall they feel very airy and light and comfy!

So, minimalist running. Pros of this shoe are it is incredibly comfortable wide toe box and totally lets you feel the terrain, even on the treadmill I felt way more stable. As per all Merrell shoes (at least for me) it runs a whole size smaller than other shoe brands. With normal shoes I wear 8, running shoes I size up to 9, and with this shoe it was the 10 that fit. For people who have Achilles issues be careful though! This re-aggravated my Achilles tendinitis, since there is way less heel padding than in other shoes causing that tendon to stretch way more than it is used to. Considering heel inserts. I love this shoe and want to make it work but it's deceptively comfortable so when transitioning to minimalist from more traditional be super conservative. Overall though, I love and maybe a little more padding under the heel would be the one thing I would change. :)

These shoes are the most comfortable run around shoe that I have. I have them in two colors and love them both. I can wear a 9.5 or a 10 and need the 10 in these because it's better to have a little room. My foot is wide.

Love these shoes. Perfect for your typical daily run; however, if I'm doing a distance more than 3 miles I tend to go for a shoe with a little more support.

I completely love these shoes. As a gymnast, running barefoot has always felt more natural to me but I like the protection these add. Plus, I wear them to work where I am on my feet all day and I walk all over the city in them. My feet are happy I love being able to feel the ground beneath me. Even if you are new to barefoot running, these are great shoes to try it out and ease into it.

I haven't tried running in these yet - I've been advised to take the transition to this type of shoe slowly, so have only walked in them. They are very comfortable, and have a wide toe box which I need. Even if I don't learn the barefoot running technique, I think I will enjoy these for trail walking.

I love these shoes. I wanted lightweight, barefoot-type shoes for walking around the city and these fit the bill perfectly. It took a little getting used to them, but my feet feel free and relaxed in these shoes. As others have written, I like that you can adjust the laces for different parts of the foot. I wear mine with socks as the elastic at the back does dig in a little harshly. But I love how snugly the shoes fit there since I have narrow heels.

So far these shoes have been great. I wear mine with socks and have no problems with this. They are true to size for me at an 8.5 I recommend running with your usual gait and not trying to change it just because you may have changed your shoes. It's cool feeling closer to the earth in these.

Order up half a size. I wear an 8½, so I ordered a 9. They fit, but there is no wiggle room. I love the way they feel on my foot. Like all Merrells, they seem well designed and foot-shaped. Not all shoes are. I do not love the elastic band across the achilles. When I am up and around, it is fine, but when I sit or drive, the elastic digs into the tendon a little. I am getting used to it. I had some problems initially with the shoe hurting the top of my instep, but I loosened the laces just a little and now that is fine. I have only just started to run in them, so time will tell. The soles feel great. And, as far as barefoot shoes go, they are the only cute ones. I have gotten lots of compliments.

Excellent running shoe! I have 2 pairs now. My normal shoe size is for walking; the other pair is a full size larger, which is for running. I love these shoes!

I've always sought svelte, thin-soled sneakers for all-day walking comfort. But as I needed a more versatile (e.g. able to handle some running, trekking and getting wet) and easily-packed shoe, I decided to go for the lighter weight and more athletic Barefoot Pace Glove. The thin soles do provide better grip and slightly better tactile feedback and it is noticeably lighter than the already lightweight Pumas I had, but with socks on, it feels pretty similar to walk in these as it did the Pumas. In other words, you still won't feel barefooted and it will take some conscious effort to get into the whole barefoot stride thing. Also be sure to adjust the laces so the shoes fit snugly. The laces are textured and allow you to specifically tighten or loosen a part of the shoe for a better fit, sort of like ice skates...nice touch. For similarly tight-fitting shoes like Toms, I wear a size 6 and this shoe in 6 fit perfectly. Don't size it based on your regular athletic shoes. My more traditional sock-requiring Merrell sneakers are 6.5. I liked the looks of these shoes, but was not crazy about the color ("Aluminum"). However, it manages to be more subdued than the New Balance WT20 I was also considering, and looks nice with my LeSportSac bag, so it's growing on me as a casual (rather than a strictly athletic) shoe. Was also considering the Clarks Privos, but the collar around the Achilles was too high and uncomfortable. I preferred the low and soft collar on the Pace Glove. I haven't tried more strenuous activities in these yet, but walking feels as comfortable as I expected.

This is my second pair in this style. I'm sure they are not for everyone, but I had the best run of my life in these. I tried to run in my old specialty running shoes and it just wasn't the same. I am sold on the Barefoot Pace Glove now as my primary running/walking/every day shoe!

I love this shoe! It does run short though. My second toe is longer and I had to order 1/2 size larger. It still is the best shoe I've had and I've ordered another pair.
