Great, comfortable hiking shoe. good support and traction and very waterproof. I hiked in the rain for many days and my feet stayed dry the whole time.

I work outside in lawn-care and these shoes are perfect for me. They are comfortable and hold up well.

Bought this item right before my hiking vacation so didn't get a chance to wear it until my first hike. It was extremely comfortable and did not suffer any blisters I usually get with a new pair of hiking boots. What was even better was that it rained for a number of days so we hiked through the rain and well as going through puddles - and at no time did my feet get wet! Very happy with this boot and highly recommend it.

Bought these for my husband. He is happy with them, and is wearing them for trail walks. Seem to fit him well. Usually in running shoes he uses New Balance, and has a somewhat narrow foot, so I was not sure the Merrill's (which I use all the time) would fit him...but they do indeed.

Glad I tried these on in a store, as they definitely run about a half-size small. The salesman mentioned that the padding, waterproofing, etc. make for a thickly-padded shoe. I wear a 9 in every shoe I own, but these I had to go to a 9.5, as the 9 was extremely tight and my toes pressed right up against the front of the shoe. With the 9.5, I have a very comfortable fit. Bought these shoes for a trip to Ireland that will involve a lot of light hiking, so we'll see how they stand up.

Shoes are very comfortable with good support. The only thing I can say is they are warm. I'm guessing the regular non waterproof MOAB might be a little cooler. So unless you need the waterproof I would go with the other shoe. It's not awe full, but my feet do get warm in them. Still a 5 star shoe.

This is the fourth pair of Moabs I've owned. I use them for hiking in the Canadian Rockies and trotting around town. You can wear them all day with no discomfort. Good traction and support plus waterproof.

I bought these shoes about eight months ago. They were a perfect fit and comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them almost every day since and they are holding up very well. The laces do come untied occasionally but not often enough to replace them.

My husband owns 3 pairs of these shoes, and he is very particular about the shoes he wears in terms of comfort. He has a wide foot, so I have purchased these for him in wide width. He absolutely loves them, wears them constantly, even to work where he stands on his feet all day long. They are so comfortable and likely one of his favorite pairs of shoes. Each pair has held up remarkably well, even the pair he wore hiking on a trip to Oregon. I highly recommend these to anyone who desires comfort and support, along with great styling in a shoe! Very well made!

I can't believe how comfortable these shoes are. My job requires me to do much walking on sidewalks and these shoes are just the thing. They are a little less flexible than running shoes, which provides a nice relief to my toe joints. Based on my experience with these, I may buy a pair of the non-waterproof Moabs to switch off to from my running shoes.

The shoes are great. This is my second pair in two years. The main reason for this review is to give a shout-out to Zappos for great customer service. UPS lost the order. I was leaving for a trip, and Zappos over nighted them to me at no extra charge. Amazing.

He loves them, says they are the most comfortable shoes he has ever worn. He usually wears a regular width but got these in wide.

Purchased these for my husband. These are the type of shoe you just put on and wear. No breaking in. Comfortable. No aching feet. Will order the same again.

These were purchased for my stepson who is a professional dog trainer/dog walker. He puts on about 12 miles a day, in all weather, and on all surfaces. He loves these shoes!

We bought this shoe for my husband in preparation for some light hiking and lots of walking in Nicaragua. They look great, kept my husband's feet comfortable and super dry (which is an issue usually, especially in humid climates) and look as good as when we took them out of the box after 11 days of rough wear. Highly recommend! We'll be buying more Merrell's because of this great experience.

This review is an admission. I'm addicted to these shoes. I've had at least 4 pair of this specific shoe and probably 8-10 different pairs of Merrell shoes. Most of the time these are my everyday shoe, sometimes my weekend hiker/camper shoe. I've done just about everything in then. Played golf, gone tide pooling, lots of extreme activities and lots of normal everyday ones. I've never had a pair malfunction. They usually last me 12-14 months before I buy a new pair because the padding is no longer quite as supportive. I tried recently to ignore my ailing pair and find something else I liked but I couldn't. Over the next few months I'll try harder, but for now I'm really happy to have a new pair. Great shoes, super comfortable, good for your bones, and decently stylish too.

I bought these for a big hike down the Samaria Gorge in Crete and these were definitely well worth it. 9 miles later and my feet still felt great! I love how comfortable and light these hiking shoes are.

This is the second pair of Moab's that I've owned. My first pair was the "Ventilator" model, and was not waterproof. My new pair is the waterproof version of the Ventilator model, and I like them as much as my first pair. The shoes are sturdy, comfortable, and fit well. I would buy another pair, and would recommend them without reservation.

Finally, a toe box that is truly a EE. These shoes I wear in the winter up in Michigan when the snow isn't too deep. Great traction, keep my feet dry, are very sturdy, and look pretty good on top of all that. A good value shoe. Would buy again and probably will get another color.

I have worn Merrell shoes for years. I really like the footbed as it is good and wide and supportive. The Merrell Moab Waterproof is a warm shoe and fits great. I wanted this shoe for wearing in cooler weather therefore the warmness of the waterproof membrane is just what I needed. I don't get in situations where my shoes are very wet but these will probably fill the needs. Great fit. I have nothing but praise for Zappos Customer Service. Everyone is 1st class as far as I am concerned. Very satisfied.

As usual the most beautiful quality shoe..Merrell does not disappoint! I ordered the wide for my son..if you have a wide foot it's fabulous! Terrific look, great comfort..not too overbearing and can function as a snow boot...waterproof!

One of the best shoes I have ever purchased. I put them on right out of the box and they felt like old friends. I really like the fact they are water proof. I wore to play a round of early morning golf the other day following a minor rain the night before so the course was very, very damp, and wet. Feet stayed as dry as toast. I was amazed at how well they griped on the wet grass, and they did not load up with grass clippings and duck leavings like soft-spike golf shoes tend to. I ??m sure I will be using again for future golf rounds when the course is damp and freshly mowed. Hey wait these shoes were designed to be a light weight trail hiker, not a golf shoe. They have an almost boot like feel out on the trail, must be the well designed the foot bed and arch supports. And don't forget the Multi-Sport outsole. If you are into light weight backpacking or rock scrambling, you may want to checkout Merrell Refuge Core Mid Hiking Boots. They're water proof as well.

Just received a new pair of the Moab waterproof. Took them out on a test drive this morning walking the Weimaraners and the shoes seemed just fine. Comfortable with good support. The 10W was just right. I would advise to go up at least a half size and if you have any issues with your feet, the wide width is probably a good idea. I think the regular width might be too narrow for many people. Can't attest to the waterproofness yet - I'll have to get back to you on that, but so far seems like a great shoe for dog walking, light hiking, and traveling. The Beluga color is pleasant and will likely hold up well with time. And, by the way, ordered one day and got them the next. Can't beat that!

One shoe felt a bit irregular at first(inner-under arch) but they broke in perfectly. They are holding up very strong against the poor road/sidewalk conditions found within third world regions. I walked through heavy rainstorms in areas w/ awful drainage and never once had to deal w/ wet feet. I spent hours on Zappos looking for an ideal pair of shoes for traveling and no regrets here.

Everyone I know raves about Merrell shoes, and now I know why! These shoes are super comfortable, supportive, and sturdy. The day after these shoes arrived, I put them on and went for a five-mile hike. When I got back home, I felt like I could do the hike all over again - my feet felt great. I just spent a week hiking several challenging trails in our state park system, and these shoes performed like a dream. I'll never be without a pair of these shoes!
