A strong value. I wore these extensively this winter in Mpls/St. Paul and must say they are extremely wind and waterproof. Support and traction are terrific, and overall reliability and performance are superb. A very good choice for cold weather commuting. Took many walks in zero/subzero weather wearing lightweight socks and was never uncomfortable. I wear size 12 or 12.5 in most brands, but need a 13 in these and my other 2 pair of Moabs. Their weather resistance is so good, however, they're too much for warm weather wear.

I received these Merrell lightweight waterproof shoes in the mail and put them on and flew to Peurto Rico for a seven day trip. I wore them every day and they felt great. I have neuropathy and it is hard to find a pair of shoes that fit and feel good. They are easy to clean and have good support. I continue to love Zappos and their speedy delivery.

I've had mine for a few weeks now, wearing a wide width. First time owning this brand. Nice and roomy and a very comfortable fit. As others have pointed out, they are a very warm shoe, so probably not the best in a warm climate. They have felt great in chilly spring conditions. Haven't sloshed around in a lot of rain yet, but no water has gotten through when going over puddles or soggy terrain. Tread on the bottom is rugged.

Nice looking shoe. Appears to be well made. I hope it proves to wear well and last long. For over 40 years all my shoes have been size 12 or 13 and EE or EEE. I bought this in a 13W and had to send it back for a larger size. the 14W is much more comfortable. Never dreamed I would need a 14.

These have been pretty amazing this winter for my hikes. I originally bought medium width as usual, but they pinched a bit, so I returned them for wides. These fit great now. I removed the insole because I use my own insert, so I can't say much about the arch support. My feet have stayed warm and dry all winter while hiking in snow, rain, mud, you name it. I was especially pleased with the grip they gave on ice and slippery rocks. Much better than I thought and much more lightweight as well. I'm sold on these shoes.

These shoes are great and I do a lot of walking. The fit is perfect, they are very sturdy, and they are waterproof. It can be hard to find shoes that can accomodate orthotics, if you need them, and that come in wide widths. I bought these to replace my first pair, which had lasted a long, long time.

Great shoes! My second pair, first pair of waterproofs. I have 6E width feet and these fit!

Purchase these for my husband for hiking & wet mornings on dog walks. A little stiff at first, now he said ver y comfortable. My husband wears a EE, but Merrell are wide enough for him.

I've been looking for an all around running/hiking/walking shoe that is water-resistant and WIDE. I ordered the wide version of this shoe but was not content with how narrow it was. I am exchanging for a Merrell Pulsate.

Great shoes...stable, good arch and breathable...can use them messing around in the garden, give them a swipe clean & then take them out for casual meal or an amble on the beach. They are my steady favorites.

Great hiking shoe. Adequate support; light weight and good traction. If your hiking through brush or weeds, better use a pair of gaiters to keep debris out of shoes, otherwise it will stick to the inside because of the interior fabric. If used on established trails and rocky surface shoe works great. Very comfortable. Quality light to moderate hiking shoe.

I love these shoes. I typically need a wide, and these tend to run true to size. Ordered the wide,and they fit perfect. Very comfortable after 1 month of daily walking of 2 miles.

My husband loves these shoes. Can't tell you how many pairs he has bought over the years. Very comfortable and versatile shoe!

Great shoe! This is my second pair. I have had the first pair for years and have hiked, walked, and sloshed through the water and mud in the first pair. They are comfortable even if you wear them all day. They easily transition from leisure to dress wear. Hope they keep making them! My first pair is still going strong, but just looks a little worse for the wear. (Believe me, they have been worn a lot!)

I was very happy with this purchase. The shoe looked like the picture and, importantly, it was a low-cut waterproof hiking shoe. I just could not find such a thing in my local retail stores, so I turned to Zappos, and I was not disappointed.

Another awesome pair of Merrells. Comfortable out of the box. Waterproof in the rain and wet grass. Order the same size as you would for a running shoe.

So comfortable and light! I'm truly breaking them in this weekend after I go hiking and camping and will update my review if my point of view changes.

I bought these shoes in 2011. As I write this review in June 2014, I am wearing the same shoes. Meanwhile, I've worn them working and hiking in the jungles of Mexico. I've logged over a hundred miles of running in them. I've worked in them during summer jobs of replacing metal roofs in Texas summer heat. I use them hiking in the hills of Texas, the rugged Big Bend country, and as approach shoes when climbing. I've even worn them to play tennis a couple of times. They look great for wearing around town. I'm a guy who doesn't sit still very often, and whatever I'm doing short of long multi-day hikes in Colorado, these shoes handle it. The only thing I'll change with my next purchase is to go with the ventilators. The waterproof component is great in jungle rivers, but I'm not there enough to justify it. These shoes do get a little warm, and they obviously don't breathe real well. After having them for a few years, I now have to leave them outside to air out after a day of wearing them. A little baby powder helps matters a bit.

This is a great shoe. I use orthotic inserts, and the high boot made it a perfect fit for those. I walk a lot and these give great comfort and support. One caution: their sizing is very small. Usually an 11.5 or an 11 fit me, but I needed a 12 with these. They are shorter than other shoes in the same size.

Waterproofing still holding up, but have only owned a month. My one complaint (minor) is the laces don't like to stay tied. Otherwise, I love this shoe.

This is my fourth pair of this shoe. I work in retail and walk all day long. Very comfortable and hold up well. I have a wide foot and wide width in these are great

This is a great pair of hiking shoes! I ordered half a size too small initially by mistake and only realized it upon receipt. No worries. Zappos made it right. I love their customer service and super easy return process. These are my second pair of Merrell waterproof shoes and I could not be more pleased. They are great for hiking around Yellowstone and trekking through the snow in the winter. They always leave my feet warm and dry.

Awesome shoe, super comfortable right out of the box. Great in snow and puddles. Merrell is definitely one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint!
