The best shoes I have owned. Period. I wear a size 11 so I ordered the 11. I wear thin smart wool socks with these and they felt a little tight out of the box but now it's been a few weeks and the shoes have loosened up and they are very comfortable. Waterproofing is excellent. Arch support is great (I don't have arches anyway). I walk a lot through the day and these are very comfortable and don't hurt my feet at all. Will definitely buy these again. Zappos rocks as always!

A great cross between hiker and sneaker. Very durable and comfortable. Had for 10 months now and they are as sturdy and waterproof as day one. Except for the laces which though they have not broken, they are basically two pieces with an inner cord and an outer wrap. The outer wrap has broken down and separated, but they still tie quite well with the inner cord.

I bought these for my husband, who had been complaining of his feet hurting. He is on his feet for much of his 10-hour shift. Once he put these on, no more complaining! He needs the waterproof due to having to go out to the truck dock. Dry feet are a must due to his going from department to department. As far as Zappos service, the shoes were delivered before the tracking number hit the UPS site, wow!

I work 10 hours a day in a high stress, fast paced, alpha male role, Paintless Dent Removal contractor job wearing these every day. Fantastic footwear from a fantastic company. Don't hesitate to purchase these extremely comfortable shoes, here!

Another reliably comfortable shoe by Merrell for fitness walking when it's raining.

I originally ordered a pair of Keen Siskiyou and I really wanted to like them, but they were to narrow even going up a whole size and they don't offer wide shoes. As soon as I put these 8 1/2 W on I knew I was not going to be disappointed, fit perfect! These are fairly lightweight, built well, and it's like walking on air, and they look great as well. Love the tread and sole, and they seem like they will do very well both walking around and not just hiking when I go to Europe next month.

They run small in the width. I have very narrow feet and I ordered a regular/medium width. That was a big mistake. My feet are killing me. I have them now for three weeks. My bad. I should have bought in store where I could have felt the tightness.

This is my second Merrell from Zappos. The shoe says waterproof and that is what it is. I tried other brands and each failed. I use the shoe from March to November for disc golf or to take my boxer to run in the woods. Zappos' service was superb.

These shoes are like a breath of fresh air compared to the skater shoes I have been wearing for the past 15 years.

My second pair of Merrell hiking shoes. The first pair was also great, and lasted several years through some considerable abuse. This new pair is equally comfortable and was all I needed in some rough country on a trip to Wyoming.

A very comfortable shoe right out of the box. I've put a fair amount of miles on these in wet and dry conditions. They remain one of the best purchases I've made.

These shoes are great! Lots of support, very comfortable, many miles / hours of hiking in the mountains and no blisters or sore spots. Great value!

I bought these shoes for an all around outdoor walking/hiking shoe and it did not disappoint. It is very comfortable, a little warm but does the job. If you are a woman it might slip a little on your heel, but overall a good fit.

Good, sturdy shoe that is light-weight and appears to repel water as advertised. A bit warm in hot weather hiking. Had to return my original order for a half-size larger to fit but Zappos made the process easy.

Excellent hiking shoe. Wore it all over Colorado, and through three national parks this summer, 2011. Wears very well out of the box-very little break-in time.

Great shoe, very comfy. Walked all over the UK in them and my feet stayed nice and dry.

My first pair of Merrell's and I cannot rave enough about the feel right our of the box! I am looking forward to working tomorrow and standing 10 hours on my feet. This could be a start of a wonderful relationship. I am not sure why some posted not true to size or width, my 11 E Wide were spot on! Tennis shoes will be in my past from this point foward.

Great traveling shoe. I got the darker color and it hides dirt well and looks great. I didn't step in too many puddles, but the waterproofing worked well when I did. That was nice. My wife and I traveled to New Zealand and hiked all over the place with these shoes. The only time it was mildly uncomfortable was at the end of a 16 mile mountain trail that we tackled in one afternoon. At the end of the hike it felt like my foot was subinating more than normal and causing a little knee pain. It is hard to tell if it was the shoe or the long hike. A proper hiking boot would probably be better for such hikes, but this shoe stood up well. Bonus: At the end of a two week trip with a lot of wear, my feet really stunk. My shoe didn't. That's got to be worth an extra few dollars. :)

Wonderful shoe out of the box. Does not feel like any break in is required. It is a little warm on the foot but nothing uncomfortable. I vary between an 8 1/2 and a 9 so I ordered a 9. To me it feels like a 9. I will enjoy putting these shoes to the test in the White Mountains as for now they feel great on sidewalks and pavement. Nice shoe.

This is my third pair of Merrell waterproof hiking/walking shoes. I use them for everyday walking around and hiking and they stand up to anything I throw at them. The fit is perfect and the build standard is excellent. But the best thing about these shoes is Zappos' great service! I ordered them after 6pm with standard shipping and they arrived the very next day. Phenomenal!

Switched from athletic shoes to hikers a couple years ago for casual wear. Stuck with Columbia until now. Ordered these shoes up a size based upon reviews that they run short. Shoes fit well and are very comfortable. Waterproofing works well for light moisture, but I haven't experienced anything more severe at this time. Shoe does not ventilate as well as ones without the waterproofing membrane, but I haven't had a problem with them even in the heat. For active use in dry, hot conditions, the Moab Ventilator may be a better pick.

These Merrel Moab Waterproof shoes are fantastic. They have great support and are great for long hikes. The one down fall is the shoe laces are difficult to keep tied.

Enjoying these shoes quite a bit. I'm a big guy and previous shoes tended to make me walk unevenly due to the sole. These comfortable and very solid. Haven't had them very long so we'll see how well they hold up.
